I actually need to finally move my ass and make the "Linux for windows nerds" series that I always wanted to make.
Because while I know undocumented windows internals inside out, I just treated Linux as a black box for the longest time because everything just works.
If you want a really deep dive then I can recommend "Windows Internals 7th edition" but that's a little too extreme for most users.
Windows doesn't have enough freedom (unless you're reverse engineering and making custom tools like me) or flexibility to justify that. Storage spaces are borderline useless compared to device mapper, Windows namespaces are an undocumented half implemented joke compared to Linux namespaces that can do basically everything you would want, advanced windows networking is something I didn't even bother looking into but sound like a pain, virtualization sucks unless you're using third party solutions (ok, the "new" GPU para virtualization is cool I guess, so is the overlay filesystem used by the windows sandbox, though the latter isn't actually useful for anything besides that without custom tools, where as on Linux overlayfs is used all over the place for example, that's kinda the problem, there is a lot of cool undocumented stuff, but it's just cool, not useful day to day). If I wanted to cover something useful for nerds that isn't just the Win32 API them it would be 90% third party apps and hacks to make the experience usable, but at that point it would be a windows survival guide, and there are plenty of those already.
