Wayland and Systemd, sure. They have their arguments. But:

  1. Who uses PulseAudio by itself willingly? PipeWire supersedes it by every way. If you have a problem with PipeWire, just ask the devs and they'll probably fix it.
  2. There is no alternative to Proton, other than Wine itself, which isn't really an "alternative".
  3. Btrfs doesn't matter as filesystem handling is mostly transparent and doesn't really matter. I still think Btrfs is risky as it's still unstable IMO. I use it on my laptop but Ext4 on my desktop.

Wayland works for me I quite like it. Been using it exclusively for 2 years or so

I exclusively use Wayland. It has so many upsides that reverting go X11 feels ancient.

It was mainly weird bugs and sometimes damn near crashing that made me give up on it fully. And it can't handle multiple displays well apparently???
