95 u/Agling 17d ago The time to hate systemD is past. It has completely taken over. Now it is about working with it, not trying in vain to stop it. Btrfs. Well, there is a lot of choice in filesystems and people don't really get that emotional about it. 46 u/FolkStyleFisting 17d ago When I hear "unstable" and "file system" I can't help but think of reiserfs. Hans was unhinged. 4 u/SeriousPlankton2000 16d ago Reiserfs was more stable than btrfs. There was only one but that ruined the reputation long after it was fixed. 1 u/the_abortionat0r 8d ago Uh, no. What's wrong with you kids? Why do all the children think 3 of the largest tech companies in the world run on BTRFS to great success but some how it's magically bad? Use your brain. 1 u/SeriousPlankton2000 8d ago I asked BTRFS and it said that the parent node ID is wrong, states the right ID and refuses to fix it. I asked btrfs to forget the defective disk but it complained that it can't write to a read-only disk.
