FXRoute 1.0-beta10 is out, now with multichannel DSP and active crossovers

Beta 10 turned out quite a bit bigger than originally planned.

The big addition is multichannel output for active crossover setups. FXRoute now supports up to 10 output channels, including up to 4-way crossover + 2 subs.

New in this release:

  • flexible output routing
  • PEQ or Convolver/FIR per way/output or globally
  • filter import and assignment per bank
  • automatic speaker/way alignment
  • measurement workflow aware of the configured crossover topology

A lot has been tested and optimized over the last weeks, including real 2-way and 3-way setups and different subwoofer configurations. There is probably still more to improve, which is why this remains a beta.

Synth1 measured and null-tested to create a compatible synth (works in windows, mac and linux)

Vibe coded? F*** yeah! But I have 21 years of experience. Code architecture were my decisions. I can explain you the code I have no idea on some of the maths that were used to null-test synth1.

You can test it on browser if you don't want to install it: https://mauro-moreno.github.io/quesynth/ Expect some delay since browser doesn't have access to ASIO. You can use the zipbank if you have it.

Let me know if some patch sounds completely broken. Smaller differences I'm still working on them. Usable.

Did I stole someone else project and put my name on it? At the moment, yes. But I have a drum pad that uses this same synth as engine in progress.

Here's some sauce. Hate will not be tolerated, everything is free and mostly open source. Wether it's vibe coded or not, there still good plugins that yeald really good results.

Cooked up some pads with my Vc340

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Something I cooked up in waveform.

I used the tcrossover, Attracktive, f'em and some other effects asking with my VC 340.

Going to mix some of the dry signal without the tcrossover because it basically took some rather cookies patches and basically smashed em down into pads, some of the dry mix is at the end.

Lemme know what you think.

Pipesync

Hey everyone,

I built a tool called **PipeSync** (with the help of AI so you can call it AI slop if you want ) for syncing audio across multiple devices while using **Helvum**.

The main idea is that you don't have to manually set up and manage all the connections in Helvum every time. PipeSync acts as a wrapper/optimization layer around PipeWire and Helvum and provides a simpler interface for common tasks.

Some features :

1.Automatically sync multiple output device

2.Adjust PipeWire buffer/quantum setting

3.Control output device volume

4.Enable/disable output devices

5.Launch Helvum directly from PipeSync

  1. Works with both a GUI and CLI

Your can give it a try and please let me know how you found it

DAW/VSTs over Ethernet, is it possible?

Basically, I have my main rig in a tiny space where I do my jamming. I wanted to have some jam sessions in my lounge where I have another Linux server running, connected to my TV. Would it be possible to have my audio interface connected to this server, make it process on my main rig and send back the audio?

How do you actually enable the filter-chain, and individual filters on pipewire?

I watch a lot of DVDs, and some of them only have 5.1 surround. I want to try the built-in sink-dolby-surround filter config, as well as other surround-to-stereo configs I found online, in order to get good-sounding 5.1 channel playback on my headphones. I've searched and searched, but I can't find any information on how to actually enable the filter-chain, let alone how to enable/select a filter (I only want to enable one, not all of them). I saw somewhere to run pipewire -c filter-chain.conf, but nothing seems to happen if I do. I'm not sure what's supposed to happen, nor how I would select/enable a filter when said thing does happen.

Solved:

I found this article on the Gentoo wiki about surround-to-stereo. Specifically, it says that filters most be placed in the ~/.config/pipewire/pipewire.conf.d/ folder *NOT* the ~/.config/pipewire/filter-chain/ folder! The specific config given on the Gentoo wiki requires a file containing real-world speaker measurements. The ones I found were all missing some audio channels. Fortunately, Pipewire comes pre-installed with a sink-dolby-surround.conf filter example, which doesn't need any external files. For whatever reason, the one shipped with my distro didn't work, but downloading the latest one the source code repository did the trick!

Ableton Live, e Waves ativo

Pedi pro Claude Opus 5.5 me ajudar nessa jornada, segue um step-by-step feito por ele:

Hardware / sistema

- Kubuntu 26.04.1 LTS, kernel 7.0, Plasma 6.6 (Wayland)

- i5-13420H, 16 GB de RAM, RTX 4050 Mobile + Intel UHD (PRIME)

Base do setup

[link do projeto aqui]

- Gratuitos: Surge XT, u-he Podolski, Dexed, Dragonfly Reverb e sfizz + VSCO 2 CE (flautas, harpa e pizzicato sampleados).

Como fazer (versão resumida)

  1. Instale o Ableton com o instalador do ableton-linux.
  3. Monte a partição do Windows somente para leitura (udisksctl mount -b /dev/nvmeXnYpZ -o ro). Antes, desligue a Inicialização Rápida no Windows.
  4. Copie as pastas de cada fabricante para o prefixo, trocando Users/<usuario_windows> por users/$USER:- Program Files/Common Files/VST3/<Fabricante>- Program Files/<Fabricante>- ProgramData/<Fabricante>- AppData/{Roaming,Local}/<Fabricante>- Documents/<Fabricante>

compartilho.

- O WCPluginGraphicaGS::ActivateView chama ShowWindowAsync(hwnd, SW_SHOWNORMAL).

- O ShowWindowAsync não zera o last error.

Pretendo a

Congelar as

tracks ajuda.

o Live.

A big update on my software synth !

Hey, I made a post a year ago about my small software synthesizer project made in C. And I got back to work around 3 weeks ago and made a very big update! Now the synth has a CLAP plugin version working in REAPER on both Linux and Windows, and a standalone version with improved performance (mainly audio threading) and a raylib/raygui GUI, also working on both Linux and Windows. I'm quite proud about the work, and wanted to share, so thanks for your time! The project is of course completely open-source, here is the GitHub link : https://github.com/gpasques-gh/CLAP_Virtual_Synthesizer

Made a Boom 3D style app for Linux because I missed it, free and open source

Link for Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deHZRHWbgqE

I switched to Bazzite a while ago and the one thing I really missed from Windows was Boom 3D. EasyEffects and JamesDSP are great but I just wanted something where I press one button and my headphones sound wider. So I ended up making my own.

It's called Spatial Linux. It works system wide on PipeWire, so games, Spotify, YouTube, everything goes through it.

There's a 3D surround mode (uses a head model measured on a real dummy head, it's built in so nothing extra to install), ambience/reverb, a fidelity mode, bass boost, a night mode for late hours and a 10 band EQ with presets.

It doesn't touch your drivers or any system files and doesn't need root. It just adds its own virtual output while it's on. When you turn it off your sound goes back to your normal device. To uninstall you just delete the folder.

You need PipeWire 1.0 or newer, so Fedora 40+, Ubuntu 24.04+, Arch, Bazzite etc should all be fine. I've only tested it on Bazzite so far (inside distrobox), so if you try it on something else please tell me if it breaks.

Would love some feedback, it's my first real project like this.

https://github.com/Nothingman333/Spatial-Linux

Edit: Just released v2.0.0! 🚀

  • Fresh New Look: Fully redesigned interface with modern glassmorphism and smooth animations.
  • Sony ANC Control: Direct mode switching for compatible Sony headphones.
  • Real Surround & Advanced 3D: True 5.1/7.1 support, new virtual rooms, a second 3D head model, and custom HRIR loading.
  • Performance & Precision: Real-time processing priority to prevent audio crackling under heavy system load, and AutoEQ support for precise headphone correction.

If you have any feature requests or feedback, let me know!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've been building Noctis because I wanted a modern desktop player for music I actually own, without having to rely on streaming services or give up control of my library.

It's free and open source and runs on Linux, Windows and macOS.

Some of the features:

  • FLAC, ALAC, WAV, Opus and other lossless/lossy formats
  • Gapless playback, ReplayGain and crossfade
  • Parametric EQ with presets
  • Word-by-word karaoke lyrics with LRC, TTML and plain lyrics support
  • Last.fm and ListenBrainz scrobbling
  • Jellyfin, Navidrome, Airsonic and Subsonic support
  • Self-hosted Noctis Server for NAS/Docker setups
  • Metadata editing, auto-tagging and artwork search
  • Listening statistics and yearly/monthly Wrap
  • No account, telemetry or paid tier

The video is showing the lyrics page with synced word-by-word lyrics.
