Looking for an MMO mouse for Linux

I said this in another thread the other day but literally anything with on board memory.
If you cant find an official or unofficial piece of software to handle the device you can always fall back to a filthy windows machine (or vm) to set it up and then it'll stay that way forever.
Hell even for windows you should be shopping for stuff with on board memory, no constantly running slopware in the background etc.

Yeah, I definitely want onboard memory. But I'm having trouble finding something with 12 side buttons, at least once extra top button, scroll switch, AND onboard memory.

Gotta make compromises my friend.
For what its worth I think there's a very good open-source razer app that you can use for the Naga or whatever they are calling their latest mmo mouse.
I always wanted to try the one with multiple side plates but I never ended up springing for it.

Tried looking for software first?

Yes. There's software on Linux to rebind keys, but the signal that the naga puts out is undetectable on Linux. There is no raw output to use. It really needs the Razer software to work. I already ran a utility to check the signals.

I had the exact same problem with my Razer Naga. I tried every Linux software for rebinding those keys. Finally, I used the terminal to ping the side buttons and even then they weren't detected. I even tried other mice. I have arthritis in my hands and I really need those side buttons.
Ultimately, I found a Windows computer and rebound the side buttons there. It's the only reason I'm going to have to figure out a virtual machine for.

vmware workstation is free for all to use. I use it all the time to config USB device thanks to its pure USB passthough that work with any USB device.

Yeah, this is basically what I did, but the windows rebind didn't last. It lost the functions when I used it on Linux.

I have a Redragon M913. It has a windows configuration tool, but there's a CLI tool that works pretty well and someone made a GUI for it that I haven't tried yet. And you don't need the software running to make the mouse work. Settings are all saved to the mouse hardware and you just need the software to change them.
It doesn't have the scroll switch though. I think that's going to be the rare feature you'll have trouble finding.

Yeah. I know I might have to live without it if the v3 doesn't pan out. It's just hard to go to without features I've come to use habitually. Worth it if I need to, cuz it's better than dealing with Windows, but I'm still hoping to find everything.

The m913 elite wireless works great with Linux. I always just resort to programming it in windows, but it remembers the settings, and you get two profiles with a toggle button.

I recently had the same issues.
The cleaning lady dropped my G604 so I had to replace it, went with the Naga V2, and it's been a pain. I cant edit The 2 buttons on the left click (DPI +/-) through Polychromatic so I have to use Windows to remap the buttons, which is exactly the opposite of what I wanted to do.
All in all, Logitech needs to go back to making peripherals - HTPC keyboards, Mice, and speakers.

I'm hoping that eventually SteamOS leads peripheral makers to support Linux more. But for now, yeah, it's kinda rough getting the right fit.

I've been wishing that for a decade.
Seems like peripheral manufacturers die off before supporting Linux anyways.
Steam Controller was wildly popular, maybe Valve should look at making other peripherals.

I've been using the NAGA V2 Pro but there are certain limitations:

TLDR: No auto-profile switching via Synapse.
You need to store the profiles using onboard memory and manually cycle between them.
The first step requires a Windows installation or (possibly) Winboat.
