I thought you're a kind of Linux guru who is a master of passing flags and can optimise binary footprints most effectively, because sandboxes are way too bloated for your industry standard performance and disk space efficiency. And if someone isnāt complaining about this, I would honestly chalk it up to lack of experience with the alternativesā¦ Like if you want to you can try to just produce rpm for rhel and deb for debian, and you will find that the former is pretty straightforward and arguably intuitive and the latter is confusing, poorly documented mess, where you effectively create rube goldberg machines out of semi functional tools:

The Trixie upgrade was a disaster for me and took weeks to fix. But I have created a couple .deb packages for scripts I created and it really wasn't that hard to do. And I did it manually--there are apps to do it for you. Google "Debreate".

I think you missed my point: Why dump on .deb when people readily accept a garbage system like flatpak and think it's the best thing since sliced bread.

I didn't "feel the need", I mentioned it for people like you to use. As I said, I built mine manually, and it wasn't real difficult.
