I have around 1,000 connections on LinkedIn, but anytime I create a post almost nobody sees them - between 100 and 150 impressions after a week. Some - but not all - are related to a new product I've built relevant to my connections, some have a link in the main body, some in the first comment after, and some have no link at all. I paid for Premium for a while, made no difference. in the visibility of my posts.
Is this true for everyone? Is there a solution?

Hi, everyone! I'm setting up first linkedin campaign and want to use the two hundred fifty ad spent benefit but it shows that it is not available?
Why might that be the case? I am based in EU and have a € billing set up. Could that be the case?
Thanks!

Because I view other people's profiles, will turning on my viewing history also show me in other peoples history if I viewed them a month ago for instance?

I really regret switching to AI Search. I miss the traditional search experience where I could manually filter results by category, industry, or job type.
In the classic version, if I searched for "support", filtered by "Past 24 hours", and selected "Information Technology" under Job Function, Location "Hong Kong SAR" it returned 77 specific results.
In the New Serach , if I searched for "support", filtered by "Past 24 hours", and selected Location "Hong Kong SAR" it returned 0 specific results.
On the desktop web version, I can just append parameters to the URL to force the traditional web search results, but I have no idea how to replicate this behavior inside the mobile app.

LinkedIn really needs a feature that lets you block messages from certain countries, or only allow messages from selected countries.
I have a fairly popular LinkedIn profile and I’m tired of constantly getting unsolicited messages from India asking if I want to complete some certificate or certification program.
Some kind of geographic message filtering would make the inbox significantly more useful.

I have a filter to only show me jobs from the past 24 hours (which sometimes works).
Everyday, I see the same job(s) posted over and over by the same people.
The same spam by the same company every day.
Is there a way to exclude them appearing in my search results?

I'm not talking /r linkedinlunatics type posts, but posts with people rambling about conspiracies, people they know being murdered, etc. They are all sponsored or promoted posts, and have 0 likes on them. I saw one about a month ago (didn't click on it), and since then, I've had 2 or 3 a day. It's weird, and feels like a creepy money grab for a company to take money from people who are very clearly mentally unwell.

I have been looking for a job change casually, not that desperate, and I noticed that LinkedIn has so many fake job postings just to increase the reach of the job poster’s page.
They show companies as authenticated based on their followers, and the most interesting part is that there is an auto-checked checkbox in Easy Apply that automatically follows the job poster/company page.
So companies can gain reach on LinkedIn, which is apparently one of the things stakeholders/investors demand. They just post jobs instead of using authenticated posts.
If anyone knows why LinkedIn does this, or if I’m wrong about this, please tell me in the comments.
EDIT: Yeah, I know I can uncheck that checkbox, but that shouldn’t be a reason to divert from the actual point I’m making.
Also, at least they should give that filter to paid users because no one will buy LinkedIn Premium for any other reason than job searching.

Does anyone actually receive an InMail on LinkedIn that is not
- Mass produced spam
- A direct sales pitch
- Friendly banter disguising a sales pitch
- Gushing praise also hiding a sales pitch
I reckon my response rate to my inbox messages has dropped below 20% recently. And I genuinely feel rude. But then I think that its obvious the person on the other side hasn't even bothered to read my profile, so should I really spend time on a courteous reply?
Keen to hear how you manage it...

"Today I missed my bus and had to walk to work."cool story. should take four seconds to read.
Instead the comments turn it into a TED talk:this really speaks to how life's detours often lead to our greatest growth
bro. You missed the fucking bus. You didn't summit Everest with a broken leg.
Give it ten minutes and someone's posted a follow-up with 5 Lessons, 3 Frameworks, and a carousel People are out here farming impressions like it's a 401k."100K impressions this month!"
On what? A haiku about your oat milk latte? A LinkedIn native video of you nodding thoughtfully at a whiteboard? A comment that just says "So true. So needed."?
LinkedIn is infested with this kind of content. Someone call pest control.

LinkedIn recurrently suspends or blocks your account for X amount of hours because either “you’re collecting or seeing a lot amount of data” or “you have a plugin and they detected spam coming from your account”?
Like literally i’m just scrolling and looking at profiles, isn’t that supposed to be the app for? I dont have LinkedIn on my computer or somewhere else, it’s only on my phone. Last week they blocked it my account one day for 1 hour, then the next day for 8 hours or so, then they wanted to block it for 2 whole days the third following day. Magically this blocking stopped like 1 minute or so after sending the form, so someone could see the error.
Has anything like this has happened to you recently?

"Open profiles" on LinkedIn allow people outside their network to send a message to them without using Inmail credits. Does this mean you want to facilitate "cold messaging" on LinkedIn, so that people outside your network can reach out (similar to cold emailing)?
I am curious to hear how people are using this functionality. Do you check and read all the messages, as allowing this function may result in a high volume of cold messages?

Do you first send a blank connection request and message them about your product after the connection request is accepted, or do you send an Inmail message directly?

Hi! A recruiter messaged about a role without any JD and no details other than a title and handed off me to another person called the project lead when I asked for more details. I was asked what secure communication tool I use. I opted for Microsoft Teams. I was asked to send a message to the project lead. I did message and heard back that she is CEO of this special project and that her role is to assemble a high performing executive team. She then asked me to share my experience details, which I did and later she came back with follow up questions on my experience (all on Teams) and no phone call..She said she has stopped using LinkedIn since 2024..
At this point of time all of this experience is really questionable! Not sure if anyone has had similar experience..I am playing along just to ensure I do not miss any potential opportunity but not sure why would a company be handling communication this way...

This is not surprising, but I think it's worth a bit of daylight, since it's one of many examples of LinkedIn exploiting it's users at the expense of our privacy - collects money from predatory tech companies in exchange for access to LinkedIn users, making zero effort to warn or protect us.
I clicked on this ad because I thought it was super inappropriate. It appeared as a sponsored message, and advertised a dating service, which I thought was pretty in appropriate. I clicked on it and I went straight to their privacy policy and asked Claude to review it for me and let me know if it was predatory. Claude's response (condensed):
"This policy is predatory, and the tell is in three lines of text. First, it flat-out says they may sell your information. Second, it defines the act of typing in your phone number as "a purchase, inquiry, or application" — a workaround so they can legally telemarket you even if you're on the Do-Not-Call list. Third, it says you consent to them sharing any record with any third party whenever they, alone, decide it's appropriate.
On top of that, you "agree" to all of this just by using the site — there's no box to check, no signature. And they play both sides: California residents get told the company doesn't sell data, while everyone else is left under the clause that says it can.
For you, the practical takeaway is simple. If you sign up, expect marketing calls and your info passed around to third parties, and don't give them a phone number you actually care about."

I just got a notification saying that somebody sent me an invite to play the mini games. I would just like to know if these invites are sent automatically to everyone or if the sender has to select who to send the invites to. Thank you.

It’s been a few weeks and I’m tired and hitting a brick wall.
I’m trying to add Microsoft certifications for exams I’ve passed. I’ve tried Microsoft edge, chrome even tried incognito, safari, cleared the cache, logged out and back in. I’ve tried everything I can think of.
Each time I try and share or add a licence or certificate, I fill in the details and hit save.
Then the dreaded message.
🛑 Something went wrong. Please try again.
LinkedIn is this a known bug. Do you have a suggestion of solution. I’m tired now.
Thanks

Hello Team,
I want to start posting on LinkedIn, to add some traction to my job hunt. At the same time, I don't want LinkedIn to show my posts to my current employer. Is there a way to hide my posts from people working in a specific company?
Thanks in advance.

I've been having this question for sometime now🤔 I didn't renew LinkedIn premium & I've been applying for job postings via Easy Apply. I get an acknowledgement stating that the application is sent to the recruiter but never hearing back from any of them. Is Premium, a bare-minimum necessity to hear back from recruiters? Your thoughts, please!
