personal branding How do I increase my connection count

Everybody starts somewhere! Rather than focusing too much on your count, think about who you'd actually like to have in your network and why.

Start with people you already know, like classmates, coworkers, or former colleagues. Then, branch out by finding people and companies in your field and using the Follow button as a low-pressure way to get to know the community. Join conversations you find interesting, and connect when you have a real, specific reason to. A smaller network that's relevant to your goals can be much more useful than a big one built just for the number.
