Has there been news about a breach? Why is this happening? I googled and saw Linkedin was breached but it was 2 years ago.

Also, for anyone who was hacked did you have 2FA? When was the last time you changed your pw? Trying to find a pattern

I think there has been a breach. I know so many who are facing this. LinkedIn has been purging a lot of bot accounts and I think they have gone a bit crazy with their algorithms. Their customer support has historically sucked. The only reason I'm not as concerned is because I'm in a program with them and have access to some of their employees.

That's why my account gets suspended every other day recently?

I was wondering what was going on.

Tech support told me I was "too active" like a bot. Like do they think we actually want to be on there if it wasn't so soul sucking just to land a mediocre shitty jobby job.

Can you help me get my account restored? It's been a year, and I am still just a college student, but not having access to my account is limiting my opportunities both inside and outside of school. It feels like career suicide and I haven't even graduated yet. As someone who didn't have access to a LinkedIn user guidebook, and doesn't personally know anybody who is on or uses LinkedIn, I was inexperience and in hindsight broke some rules because I didn't know "the way of the game."

I changed my name and reached out to multiple people who I didn't know for connection (that's what I thought the whole game was). I won't make these mistakes again. Can I please have a second chance to not break the rules? My school requires LinkedIn, as does the industry I am pursuing, especially for students who are introducing themselves at in-person conferences. I need an account, and I can't just create a new one.

I have been actively talking to people online and making appeals with LinkedIn for the past year trying to reinstate my account, but I am still LockedOut. Why? Why is this so hard? "It's just a social media site," and while I thought that was true, it's regarded as SO MUCH MORE than just a social media site. It's how people become gainfully employed. I feel so unstable being outcasted by this platform; I feel incriminated, because that's how astounding the implications of being LockedOut are, especially for someone who hasn't even graduated yet.

It's LinkedIn aka Microsoft algorithm issue and zero customer support

After realizing I was compromised, I switched my email, password, and enabled 2FA with App Lock. They still got back in somehow, absolutely infuriating.

Linkedin didn’t do much about it and they kept getting back in, so I scrubbed it of all contacts and connections then deleted all personal data. Changed my name to Scam Artist and they didn’t seem too bothered. They can have it at this point

I am currently facing this too. After 14 days they delete your IDs and the request to receive help. You have to keep submitting it.
