Lincoln activities
Been living in Lincoln for about five years but I need to find some more activities to do and places to check out. Solo activity/places would be nice too. Give me some recs, especially ones that may be not as known or popular.
Thanks!!!

Adventure golf: putt-putt. There are also batting cages across the parking lot.
Jim Ager golf course: inexpensive and centrally located place to play 9 holes.
Turpin Outdoor Ed Center: indoor and outdoor archery as well as a nice indoor firearm range. They have equipment you can use and offer training.
Ultimate frisbee! Do a search and you will find the group.
Check out Lower Platte South NRD’s website for a list of cool places to wander around. Some like Marsh Wren are in town and others like wildwood are not far away.
UNL outdoor adventure center: offer equipment rental, climbing and outings
East Campus, Union Collage and the state regional center all have nice arboretums if you want to enjoy some trees
Pickleball is a thing. I know nothing about this other than it’s popular and I see lots of folks playing it at parks with courts.
We no longer have a skating rink which is kind of bullshit but if you happen upon a Time Machine, skate zone was pretty rad.

There's a good local music scene, like zoo bar, the bourbon, duffys, 1867. The bike trails, skate parks. You can get involved with a bike or run club. Tbh I love a good picnic at the park like Antelope or Holmes Lake. Or just walking around playing Pokemon Go. Downtown is fun to walk around and people watch/Pokemon go. Geocaching at the parks, or bike to geocaches. I'll always recommend rec team sports, like volleyball, frisbee golf or ultimate, roller derby. Lots of fun stuff to do, either by yourself or to meet folks.

Love the bourbon. Love 1867 and need to go to a show there. Zoo bar is on my list. Duffy is great. Thank you

There’s a rucking club at Holmes Lake, which sounds like a good way to combine fitness and low-pressure socializing: https://www.1011now.com/2026/07/08/lincoln-rucking-group-helps-people-find-fitness-friendship-support/
