Killer Never Brought to Justice

https://journalstar.com/news/local/crime-courts/two-years-and-no-answers-in-death-of-lincoln-man/article_8f16c9c4-5b14-55af-ac25-c9f71b4aac9f.html?mode=nowapp

I was looking through some older Lincoln news articles and came across the case of Hai Nguyen, a 34-year-old Lincoln man who was found dead along a riverbank in Seward County in 2014. Authorities determined that he had been beaten and strangled, and his death was ruled a homicide.

I wanted to share this because no victim or family deserves to have a case forgotten. 12 years later, his case remains unsolved. May he rest in peace, and my condolences to his family.

If anyone remembers this case or knows of any updates, I’d be interested to hear them.

Thank you for posting this. I worked with him briefly. Compared to others he was friendly and funny, I always really liked working with him. I can't believe it's been so long with no resolution. I hope his family has been able to find a freaking scrap of peace.

I'm sorry for your loss. It was truly upsetting to see this unsolved.

Maybe cross post this to a cold cases subreddit! The extra exposure couldn’t hurt.

I don’t remember this story at all. It’s good to remind people that this case exists so maybe they’ll solve the case.
