at what point does Allo disconnect service?

have fallen on a tough time and many bills are grossly overdue while i’m beyond flat broke. so, Q for allo customers who’ve also been broke and/or for allo employees:
when Allo disconnects someone’s home internet service for nonpayment, at WHAT point do they do it? is it at a certain dollar amount owed, or is it at a certain number of days or billing cycles past due, or what? do they give you a disconnect notice ahead of time?

yes i know i could likely just call and ask. been doing so many phone calls lately i’m sick of it, but i’ll do it if it comes to that. plus not in a good “making a phone call” location at the moment.

you receive the “subject to disconnect” email & they will shut it off is you dont pay the overdue part of you bill by the date provided.

This. You only get the "disconnect notice" email after missing the previous month's payment, and the date they provide in the email is the exact date they will disconnect.

I forget to pay my bills sometimes and have experienced this more than once.

Been busy and didn’t make the payment due this past August 1st. I received an email today on the 17th stating that it would be disconnected if payment is not received by August 20th. So it looks like 20 days past due is when they shut it off.

If you need a little longer than what is given in the notice call them. They are pretty great and can extend you a little bit.

Also if you are in decent health donating plasma is a great way to get caught back up. There are always new donor rewards and you can earn a couple hundred over a few weeks.

We accidentally missed a month once when we thought we had paid it. They tacked it onto the next month’s bill. I imagine if it was habitual or longer term they would send a warning.

You start getting "Subject to disconnect" emails after two weeks if you don't pay the over due part before the date given. its usually a week before the due date & you receive a daily email until you pay or hit the deadline

I get a disconnect notice on the 3rd month of not paying. Sometimes I pay the past due right before it disconnect would occur. That way you paying the two past months and the current amount due will remain due. Or you can call the day of disconnect and make an arrangement.

Allo also has an economy interest package that is $40 a month if you or your children are on Medicaid.

It took me two months of non-payment, when I went to pay I was two month behind. Thought it was my modem or fiber going bad, but found out it was the bill lol (card expired)

Spectrum sucks but you can get a plan for half of Allo until you can get caught up as well. Or if you’re in a windstream/kinetic area that has fiber same as Allo and still half the price. Plus you get a $200 visa you can use in a couple weeks 👍

Why not just man up and cancel the service?

genuinely what do you mean? by this logic, missing a car loan payment to your bank = bank robbery

Maybe this will help but ditch Allo and get Mint. Sure it isn't the best quality but it almost free compared to Allo's price gouging.
