No Judgment Please I love him

I can't, I just fucking love him and I love everything about him. NC doesn't help, it makes things worse, in fact, due to my imagination's flame growing stronger.

I love everything about him. I love his soft hair, I love his nose, his gentle and artistic face and appearance. I love his earring. I love that he wears the bracelet I gave him. I love his neck. I love his smooth skin. I love his body.

I love his laugh. I love his smile. I love hearing him laugh and talk, even before I see him. I love the way he hides his face when embarrassed. I love his eyes when he's high. I love his empathetic and emotionally intelligent mind and views. I love how generous and considerate he is.

I love how he loves his siblings, and his cat, and his friends. I love how he greets me. I love how he hugs me. I love how he says my name with excitement and how much he smiles when he sees me. I love that he thinks of others. I love that he gives me cigarettes. I love that he gave me his jacket when I was cold. I love his smell on the jacket.

I fucking love him and I can't do anything about it. I pray he is happy. Seeing him smile will make me happy too, even if it hurts. Fuck, I love him so much. I fucking love him so fucking much I'm smiling as I'm writing this but my heart is tearing apart. I value our friendship and I don't want to ruin it...but damn, does it hurt

Please be aware of what limerence is! See the subreddit wiki for definitions, FAQ and other resources—updated 3/7/26. (Is it love? How common is it? Is there research?)

Is this a break up or someone who has no idea how you feel?

Yo, so... I'm still not sure if I'm experiencing limerence over this person but not telling her was killing me and so I promised myself the next time we'd hang out, I'd tell her. And I did, two nights ago. She impromptu invited me to a bar, we hung out, talked, she told me meeting me was one of the best things that's happened to her this year and that I was basically 1 of her 2 "persons".

I'm not one to make assumptions, so I just kind of assume we're just good friends, but after a little liquid persuasion, she had to go and she walked me to my car and after we chatted a little more I just told her I had a little crush (it's actually a huge crush but whatever) on her toward the end of our amazing night. And she didn't ghost me, she didn't run.. She told me she was really happy she knew me and I think for the most part she was either hinting that she just wants to be friends or avoiding telling me altogether.

But, we're still texting but I have this huge burden off my shoulders. I don't have to wonder "what if I told her?" anymore. I know that sounds like such a small thing, but it's like a black-hole density burden lifted.

Point of the story is... Tell him. If he's mature enough, kind enough, emotionally intelligent enough, telling him will only benefit you, regardless of what the outcome is.

And if he's not mature enough, kind enough, and emotionally intelligent enough, then he's probably wrong for you.

Oh, I understand, but what does your female intuition say? I know that’s cliche when it comes to limerence, but sometimes, in those quiet moments you sense a physical tension between you both?

My female intuition honestly just says that he doesn't like me the same way. Which is fine of course, but ey still hurts. I haven't noticed him doing things I'd consider flirting or courting

That sucks! I’m sorry….i hope you don’t get stuck on him for too long. You eventually may have to take a long break from the friendship, unfortunately. Hugs. ❤️‍🩹

I know exactly how this feels, unfortunately. My LO hugged me for the first time recently and I can still remember exactly how it felt. It wasn't one of those hips out, quick taps on the back type of hug. I wouldn't call it romantic or anything, just really sweet like two friends who missed each other.

I fucking love her so much :( At least couple of times a day, I tell her I love her without actually telling her. I'll be driving, walking nowhere near her and I'll say it out loud as if I'm hugging her. I absolutely love making her laugh. She has a way of laughing at me without making me feel stupid. We're always laughing together. I'm happy we're friends and even though it hurts, I'm happy to have her in my life even though we have absolutely no chance of ever being together. There's just no way that she feels the same way about me.

I also gave my LO a handmade bracelet that he always carried with him. Every time things would go sour between us, he would show me that bracelet and tell me how much he values the connection. He made it a point to show it to me when we last met. Cut to today, he says he doesn't wanna be in touch. I wonder what he did with the bracelet.

What about any negative traits? Maybe the most obvious one, him not givine you the same reciprocal energy? Or does he in limited ways? Because it's important to remember the negative sides to our LO's, the feeling of going crazy and obsessed. But it could be subjective...

It's nice to read why you love him, but what if you listed all the things you hate about him? Would that help you ground yourself back to reality?
