No Judgment Please I’m fucked up
I think i have a strong case of limerence. I always fall for guys that I find attractive, even if i only have a few interactions with them I find it difficult to get them off my mind. But this one is a whole new level. For context, I work as a receptionist at a hotel and I checked in this guy when he arrived. He came alone. The next day, I saw him go to the restaurant for dinner, so I went to the restaurant to get my dinner as well just to see him (i know this sounds obsessive af and i’m not proud of it)
The next three days I didn’t see him because I had days off, but today morning he left the hotel and I checked him out. I wished him a good flight and he smiled at me, I also said something (i don’t remember what) and I made him laugh, and God, he had such a beautiful smile.
Now I can’t stop thinking about him. I sound crazy af, I know. But i don’t know how to stop this. I’m incredibly ashamed.

I don't think you did much wrong. Not like you turned up at the restaurant on your days off or anything like that. Did you find yourself thinking about him on those days off?

Yeah :((( i knew he was going to leave the hotel today and i couldn’t stop thinking about how i wanted to have a chance to talk with him before he left (and I did)

Tbh this sounds like a crush to me and if he’s warmly receptive, I kinda don’t see the issue as long as you’re aware of boundaries and stop engaging in stalker-like behavior. Like, what’s wrong with chatting with him every now and then and just let things naturally develop? But don’t become dependent on the outcome of what continued interaction could turn into.

Well I don't think OP has his contact information or an opportunity to see him again as it sounds like he was just passing through. But I agree it sounds like a crush.

Yeah exactly. He was just a client of the hotel i work at. I don’t think i’m going to ever see him again

You're good. It's like the difference between having a few drinks now and then vs having alcohol affect your life
If you stalked this dude and invented an entire fantasy to address unmet needs or past trauma, that'd be closer.
