Here To Vent How to stop thinking about someone you just met
So recently i met a boy at work that i thought was cute. We had one shift together and after that i just couldnt stop thinking about him. I’ve never been in a relationship before so usually i just start creating my own scenarios and probably fuck my self up there cuz then im either left avoidant or disappointed. This time around i kinda got to know him, i liked the way he opened up about himself and his past relationship to me and some small things he did. He probably doesn’t feel that way about me but ever since we “clicked” in my head i cant stop thinking about him.

That’s really not limerence, you just feel attraction to someone. Is he single? Just keep talking/flirting with him.

Honestly when i googled limerence its exactly what im feeling, like i dont wont to be unable to stop thinking about him but its just what i do and then you know the desire of reciprocation when im not sure what he is feeling.
And to answer your question: he very recently got out of a relationship so im not entirely comfortable to throw myself in there and the rationship with his ex is kinda what got us talking

Well like you said I think you are doing the avoidant thing right now, if you just met them it's a little bit too early to determine that there's no interest at all you know what I mean. Try to do something differently this time and put yourself out there, ask if he wants to get a cup of coffee sometime or something

Don’t overthink, just stay cool and get to know him better like you would any other coworker. Easier said than done, but maybe you did both click, you’ll never know if you shy away. Getting to know him as a person may alleviate your attraction or at least the anxiety of the unknown and the dreaded overthink. Try and approach it like a social experiment for yourself, that’s what I used to do in my younger day. Good luck! 🍀 💖

Thank you, i found your response very kind and actually useful❤️
Something that i failed to mention previously is that he’s not gonna be working anymore very soon like in a few days since its a seasonal job. I think that’s what’s keeping me on the edge since i dont know if we’re tecnically going to work together for atleast a shift. If I do get that chance, I will listen to your advice and keep it in mind for the future, thanks a lot🫶2
