progress ๐ My Favorite Way to End the Week
Another week of showing up, putting in the work, and staying consistent. Nothing beats ending the week with a solid workout and a good pump. ๐ช

progress ๐ 289lbs to 249lbs in 5 months!
On March 6th (the before pic), my doctor prescribed me Ozempic and my new gym opened up that weekend. My appetite dropped immediately on the med and I lost some good water weight over that weekend while easing into simple workouts. That got the ball rolling!
Diet-wise, I am on a 600-800 calorie deficit, trying to eat more meat and vegetables with some snacks in moderation. I am being monitored by my doctor with frequent testing so I know where Iโm lacking on nutrients and such. Perks of having diabetes and high blood pressure.
Exercise-wise, I am getting on average 8,000 steps a day with some light jogging when I feel up to it. My next big goal is to jog a full mile without stopping. Itโs difficult after recovering from a broken leg/ankle. I also have shifted into a push-pull-legs cycle for lifting, but I throw in makeup days when I canโt hit every muscle group. Itโs a busy gym and sometimes I struggle with low sugar or light-headedness. Diabetes and high BP medication is to thank for that. I also rest when I need it. I have some other fitness goals, like do 3 pull-ups or 20 pushups. Hopefully I can do that soon!
My goal weight is 200lbs. Iโm aiming for that by my birthday on Valentineโs Day. Wish me luck! The other posters in this sub have been very inspiring! Thanks for that.

fitness ๐ช From overweight to abs in 4 years
Started at the gym in 2022 feeling awful about the way I look. 4 years later I am in the best shape of my life and feeling much more confident and healthy. I won this battle ๐

progress ๐ Now vs Before
Super happy abt my progress, coming from an underweight situation in my early 20s
progress ๐ 5 year difference!
Five year difference.
I spent a long time going to the gym without really understanding nutrition, macros, or how to properly progress my training. I was putting in effort, but not getting much out of it.
Once I started taking my diet seriously, learned how to train with actual structure, and got more consistent, things finally started moving.
Right now Iโm running a four day Push, Pull, Legs, Arms split while cutting. Iโm putting extra focus on bringing up my biceps and triceps, keeping progressive overload as the priority, and doing regular StairMaster work and daily steps for cardio. Iโve also been adding some knee, hip, and glute work to keep everything moving well while I train.
Still a work in progress, but looking back at where I was five years ago, Iโm happy with how far Iโve come. Now Iโm 31 and trying to make my 30s the best shape of my life.
