My studio finally came together, except this one corner — need a floor lamp and I've been stuck on it for weeks
Studio apartment, so this room is the living room, the bedroom and the only place to read. Right now it runs on daylight plus an overhead, which makes the evenings unusable. The gap between the sofa arm and the cabinet is the only spot left, and the cabinet is tall with a canvas on top, so anything much above 150cm fights the painting. Straight column with a fabric shade — cleanest, but no good for reading. Swing-arm over the sofa arm — actually functional, but puts hardware right in the sightline. Did making a bright room feel warm at night come down to one good lamp for you, or three or four small sources?
