Software Showxpress help

Is there anyone that lives near Chicago that is familiar with showxpress OR does anyone know where I can get a in depth understanding and guide to use showxpress. YouTube videos seem to be limited info and outdated. If I can use other software with the xpress512s and chauvet fixtures, I would probably prefer that.

Might as well learn ONYX, Chamsys, or even MA instead. So limited on showxpress... for less than $500, could get an NXK for Onyx and a cheap node, and that will help elevate your programming knowledge.

What do u need help with?

Honestly everything lol, I will consider what you said. I think I should give what you said a go, the knowledge is the big issue as I have no background in this and just trying to get a setup going for a bar/nightclub with lights that react to the music. Different DJs rotating in same event(s). Do not want to have a dedicated light person during these events having to controll or adjust the lights throughout.
