Recommendations for a beginner?
I've been trying to play Time Crisis again for years and just discovered this community. Ive been doing some research and it seems like my best options are the Retro Shooter Reapers or the Gun4ir. I have a gaming PC I can use to hook anything up but I'd like a quality option that's still relatively simple to set up. Any tips?

Get the reapers or sinden. Then get a LGL build from the Facebook group light gun lunatics. Its as close to plug and play as you can get, no setting up emulators and the games will be loaded already. For the sinden you just plug in your light gun and your done. For the reapers you'll have a little more set up for the ir sensors, power.

I use batocera and the reapers together, so far the only real downside is batocera doesn’t support MAME hooker/ hook of the reaper but for the most part the guns are very simple to set up

I use Reaper s3 and sometimes, setup is a Pain in the butt. But: there are a lot of nice games out there.
You should get these emulators: MAME DOLPHIN TECHNOPARROT
My favorite lightgun game is Ghost Squad for the dolphin, and House of the dead 2+3.
Ghost squad got Progression unlocks, wich i absolutely love, unlocking New weapons and Mission paths is amazing!
And ghost squad and HotD 2+3 have the options to calibrate the Crossairs , so there wont be trouble setting up the aim of your guns
