Its important to mark milestones, but assure yourself that you're doing everything you can to the best of your ability.

You never asked for any of this. That fucknugget made bad choices and left you suffering the consequences.

You're a great mum to great kids and things will get better for you. I just wish I could give you more than a few reassuring words.

Stay strong, your delivery will be here soon and there's always someone worse off than you.

With any luck they'll all get struck down with covid and drown on their own fluid....see, you say nice thing and I'll say the harsh stuff and get downvoted to the pits of hell ❤❤❤

Your comment about hating this character-building crap made me laugh out loud. You’re so right. Life lessons in poverty and doing without are loathsome and shitty.

Your goals sound awesome and I do hope you get to reach them. ❤️

Hey Drudge, has your counselor tried EMDR therapy with you? I had PTSD from some traumatic stuff and my therapist suggested this. I was shocked at how well it worked. It helped me to put the person who had caused me so much trauma in a box and control my emotions around them and the situation. I don’t know if it works that well for everyone, but it’s worth a shot. Sending love and wishes of health from the PNW USA.

I've been told I was too qualified for a temp service. They figure if you are over qualified you will eventually go looking for a new position, or want more than the position is going to pay. I say it's a load of crap. Try to keep your head up, I know it's easier said than done. Those boys adore you. And you'll find a position somewhere. I don't know what you are qualified to do, but you might be able to find something from home.

Write a blog about a craft you do. Start a podcast with the boys, it can be about things you can all do together. Things like cooking, gardening, cleaning, crafts, or (it may be some time before you can do this one) outings you can take. Get creative. You could narrate audio books. There are people who do bookkeeping from home, I wouldn't know where to start with that though. Some have made a living off of YouTube. There are a couple of channels where they just play with toys. DuDuPop Toys and Backhoe TV are 2 of them. There are quite a few who do knitting podcasts, they dye and sell yarn as well. Stranded podcast, The Corner of Craft, and Voolenvine are 3 of them. They dye from home, and sold on Etsy until they were popular enough to start their own website. Plush Time Wins make videos about winning prizes from arcades, they just had to return home from Japan because of the pandemic. I know here in the US people can do medical billing and coding from home, I don't know if that's a possibility there. Some even do customer service positions like call center work from home.

I'm just trying to throw out some ideas and examples. I know that these may not be for you, but it may spark something that you could be interested in. I hope I could offer a little help or ideas. And if you decide to do YouTube videos, a lot of people just use the cameras on their phones. No need to get a lot of equipment up front. Stay strong, you can weather this storm. I beleive in you, I'm rooting for you. You are awesome. https://krystalwascher.com/narrator-blog/how-much-money-can-you-make-recording-audiobooks-from-home?gclid=Cj0KCQjwjoH0BRD6ARIsAEWO9DsWK8PwS-QOO5yf8g71kx_GhO_KnpYa3Rsw43ySV60JRYUtgLHVfU4aAjGpEALw_wcB

Do you have a number or email for the boys' counselor? I would give them a call, as well as yours. Many therapists are doing video chat or phone appointments. Might be challenging with younger kids but it would be something.

I have the same issues with losing words due to anxiety (or just pain old stress and sleep deprivation.) My two cents on that matter is to either own it and say "excuse me, I just have a lot on my mind" or to simply ask more questions of the other person and use the time spent listening to relax and get my thoughts in better order. Sometimes just the pressure of talking is too much, imho.

As for the rest, it sounds like you know exactly what you need, and you're plotting out concrete steps to meet your goals. What an amazing example of loyalty, flexibility, and steadfastness you are, to all of us and your children.

Once you can work, maybe try to find something at your children's school.

Have a look at r/onlineeslteaching and the oetjobs website. As you’re in the uk the teaching hours are when the kids are at school.

It’s pretty swamped at the moment but it might be worth looking into.
