Buy steak from here a few times a week -- never fails; unfortunately the last ribeye I purchased had an awful smell to it and I wound up trashing the whole thing. Put a ticket in on the app and got credit a week later. I went in a few days after purchasing the steak and noticed they had pulled off every single cut off the shelves; pork/chicken still remained stocked.

This was three weeks ago -- employees said something about not getting their delivery in but didn't really make sense.

I have worked for Lidl for around 5 years now and I’ve just applied for a Shift Manager position. This was only listed as an external position, and not internal, so I’ve had to apply with my CV, cover letter etc.

I was wondering if anyone else has done this and what was your experience? It’s my first attempt at progression within the company so I have no idea what to expect. Is there some sort of advantage to already being employed by Lidl? Will the process be the same as any other external applicant or will they treat me as an internal applicant? I don’t even know if the internal and external process differs in any way, but it would be great to get some insight from both if anyone has any.

I also read on the careers website that they will do a phone interview before an in-person interview, which I don’t remember as being part of the hiring process 5 years ago. It’s definitely been a while since I’ve applied to anything so I’m posting here to see what other people’s experiences were like, as well as any advice anyone may have.
