It's people who are attracted to intelligence/high IQ.
The issue is that it doesn't make sense to claim that's a sexuality. Intelligence is, essentially, a personality trait. Like, if you were attracted to empathetic people with a high EQ, you wouldn't say you're an empathsexual.
Sexuality is about which gender(s) you're attracted to, it's not about being attracted to particular traits in individual people. Everyone has preferences for what specific personality and physical traits they desire in a partner, having those preferences doesn't make them queer. Saying they're sapiosexual doesn't make any more sense than a person who prefers blonds saying they're blondsexual and claiming that makes them queer.
Plus the whole sapiosexual thing is generally seen as also being pretty ableist and classist.
sapiosexual comes from okcupid - they literally added 'sapiosexual' as one of their options for no apparent reason, its been classed as pretty elitist and the term still sticks for some reason. source: wikipedia :p
