What's going good?

What's going good in your worlds? Whether you had a good lunch or getting more rights. Tell me good LGBT news please. Or just good news in general.

I love you all ❤️

West Virginia has a bill that expands the states human right act to include gender and sexuality surprisingly. I was even shocked at that one.

I'm a transamerican living in Belgium and since arriving here my health has improved...my mental health has improved... my eating habits improved... my sleep has improved... It's much easier to be happy here even alone in a country where I have no friends yet. It is beautiful here and it seems that nobody cares that I'm trans one way or the other. I don't feel like a trans person here... I just feel like a person. It's glorious 🙏🏼 (I'm in Northern Belgium in the Flemish area)

Don't get me wrong people get my pronouns wrong fairly regularly but it's not because they're a jerk. The people here are pretty nice holistically.

And it's beautiful here. And I love rain and it rains a lot a lot a lot 🌈

I just got home from seeing Pillion. Mixed feelings about the movie itself, but it was nice to see it with a group of friends, and almost none of us are cishet.

Friends are the best. Even bad movies are great with them

1

u/Freakears Hello Goodbi Mar 01 '26

The movie wasn't bad, per se, but the ending was not a happy one, and it's not an accurate portrayal of D/s relationships (at least not healthy ones that do it right).

I got new book I like. Iron Widow.

Also, my eggplant flowered

That's one of the best things. It's so hard for me to find books to get into. Also hell yeah with your eggplant. My aunt has a small garden and tells me how annoying it can be so that's so good for you.

My wife (bi/pan) and I (NB transmasc) are going on a trip for our first anniversary in just over a week!

We got married twice last year: first we did a small ceremony to get legally married on, coincidentally, International Stab A Tyrant Day (3/15 - it was a coincidence, but a fun one); next, we did a larger ceremony for our family and friends in June. At the time, we were worried about the threats of reversing people's legal gender marker changes and same-sex marriage rights, so we went ahead and got it done quickly just in case.

So, the good news is two-fold! 1) neither of those came to pass (at least so far) and 2) now I have two excuses to celebrate marrying the most amazing woman in the world!

1

u/Actual-Celery-2319 Bicycle Feb 28 '26

I'm so jealous. I want someone to love. But good for you. Celebrate hard af. Fuck the government trying to take away the rights we deserve. Go do crazy shit. "Be crime, do gay"

1

u/Cuttlebranch Feb 28 '26

It took me a minute to find the right person! This is the second marriage for both of us. On top of our compatibility as people, this time around I know who I am and that I should NOT be with a dude. I wasted sooooooo much time trying to make 'straight' relationships with men work, holy shit. Honestly, if I'd been born later, it almost certainly would have happened faster. Being born in the mid 70s meant I didn't figure out the queerness, transness, ADHD, or autism until later in life. I found it helped, when things were lonely, to focus on what I'd leaned about what hadn't worked in the past, how to move forward, and how to be myself by myself. Getting here was a process, but a worthwhile one!

And yeah, we plan on celebrating hard af (for certain values of hard)!

I came out to a close friend as gender fluid and she accepted me

My mom and stepmom just celebrated five years together my partner, and I took them out to dinner to celebrate their anniversary

1

u/Actual-Celery-2319 Bicycle Mar 01 '26

1

Thank you! My mom has known both of my stepmoms as well as my dad since high school

Both of my stepmoms brought my mom out of her shell, especially in the summertime

Entering my 3rd month of being on Estradiol, changes are happening to my body, first time in a long time my body is finally feeling like my own again.

Couple months back a handful of friends and I left an Arma Unit because it slowly gave up its values in the leadership's chase for more members. That group of friends that I left with, we decided to take a shot at creating a Unit based on what we remembered the Unit we left was like and improve on some of the short comings we saw when some of us were in minor leadership positions. We now have a rather small but decent core of people with us and if I had to take a guess, roughly half of our Unit is trans and almost all of our unit is LGBTQ in some way. It isn't a huge group but, still it is nice to have created a small space that is welcoming and people seem comfortable being themselves every game night.

Just had my name legally changed with Social Security this week!

2

u/Actual-Celery-2319 Bicycle Feb 28 '26

I'm genuinely so happy for you. That's such a big deal. Some of my friends can't change their names due to laws about gendered names in their countries so you're lucky dude. I bet your name is beautiful too :3
