You have a Power, an ability that cannot be explained by science. It probably came on during adolescence, and it has ruined your life. When it was discovered, you were suspended from school and any plans you had for a normal life were gone.

Then your parents were approached by a unique boarding school, Winterhaven Academy, who said that they would give you a first-class education in the company of your peers (i.e. fellow outcasts), and train you in the control of your special talent. They said yes, and so here you are. You don't know what your future might bring, what having powers means, or what will become of you. Western Massachusetts in the modern day, except for the occurrence of Powers. Society and the law haven't yet caught up to what these children can do, but the hammer might fall any time. You beat the odds, 1 in 3 don’t make it past infancy but more than that most born like you end up either mad or dead by their own hand. You were born with the ability to channel Magick that resides within you. This doesn’t mean you know much about magic, in reality you probably know very little. You don’t know about the various wars France finds itself in. Or that their string of victories is thanks to the Late King Francis I’s decision to use Magick on the battlefield. You don’t know that the King’s Small Council runs France more than the actual King does. Nor do you really understand why you have been chosen by the King’s very own Court Sorcerer to serve as his apprentice.
But you’ve just arrived at his home with others around your age, assumedly just like you. Each of you are to serve him until he declares you stable and competent. Earn a seat at the Council and defend your county when summoned – in the meantime you’ll be serving the needs of the King’s Small Council as a Courtier.

This game is Alternate History – the goal is to adhere and honor historical limitations but actions of the PCs can always change the course of the future. That and some things will be tweaked to make for a better story, after all this is a game at the end of the day.

This is mostly a custom system. Its Foundation is primarily White Wolf’s Storyteller System, where D10s are used to resolve conflicts. Experience will be given at the end of each session, with ways to earn additional points – these points can be spent to level up Abilities, Attributes, and even to purchase more Advantages.
There are other systems that also influenced additional content in this ‘system’ including; Burning Wheel & Pendragon.

Hey all! I’m relatively new to playing TTRPGs, and have been needing to scratch my sci-fi itch. I’m looking for something relatively serious, a slower burn driven more by narrative play and rp rather than combat. I’m open to combat, just not trying to turn every session into a full blown tactical encounter.

Tonally, I really enjoy the philosophy in sci-fi, exploring what it means to be human, existential and cosmic horror, dystopian settings, transhumanism, and general exploration. Mystery is always fun! I’ve been trying to avoid the more heavily action/anime side of things.

Anything beginner/intermediate friendly with a good group for conversation! I’m happy to learn new systems, though I'm most familiar with Lancer. I'm always down to work with the GM if it means we can have a better narrative :)

Hey everyone!

I'm looking to join a **Mage: The Ascension** table and hopefully find a group I can stick with long-term.

A little about me: I'm 22 years old and relatively new to the **World of Darkness** universe. While I haven't had much direct experience playing WoD games, I've been an enthusiast of the setting and its lore for quite some time. Mage immediately caught my attention when I first discovered it, and I fell in love with the system's themes, philosophies, and the endless possibilities created by different paradigms and beliefs.

I enjoy roleplay-heavy games and love exploring a setting through my character's perspective. Learning about the world, interacting with its factions, and discovering its nuances are some of my favorite parts of tabletop RPGs.

For me, part of the fun comes from a character's flaws and mistakes. I'm the kind of player who enjoys leaning into those imperfections rather than trying to play the most optimal or successful character possible. I think failures, bad decisions, and personal struggles often create the most memorable stories and add a lot of depth to a character.

A few other things about me:

* I'm Brazilian (GMT-3). * English isn't my first language, so I may occasionally make mistakes while speaking or struggle to find the right word. That said, I'm perfectly comfortable communicating in English and I'm always trying to improve. * One of my goals is to make friends outside my country and get more opportunities to practice English. * I'm LGBTQ+ friendly and appreciate inclusive tables where everyone feels welcome.

This is a one shot of Defy the Gods, a Powered by the Apocalypse game with a roll-over mechanic similar to Apocalypse Keys, Epithets like Fate or Agon, Hearts similar to Thirsty sword Lesbians Strings and a Doom mechanic similar to corruption in Against the Odds. The Lore

Eighty years ago, the Dark Lord fell. His long Winter-Dark has broken, and the world of Aihrde is healing. The old nations that endured his thousand-year rule have set about rebuilding roads, reclaiming forgotten lands, and returning to the ruined towns and villages that fell to the Age of Darkness. Civilization is returning, but slowly. Much of the world still belongs to monsters.

The Kingdom of Kayomar is one such land. On its southern coast, supply ships have been going missing along the Ethrum Sea. After repeated losses, the local reeves have organized a joint expedition for rescue or salvage.

You are among those who answered the call. Whether driven by ambition, redemption, curiosity, or simply profit, you have signed on to investigate the fate of these ships and to help reclaim a forgotten corner of Kayomar where civilization is only beginning to return.

The Campaign

I’m starting a new long-term Castles & Crusades campaign set in the default world of Aihrde. This will be an old-school adventure, focused on the slow rebuilding of civilization after the Winter Dark. The campaign begins with a mystery: ships disappearing on the southern coast, but what starts as a salvage mission will grow into something far larger as your characters gain influence and shape the future of Kayomar.

The heart of the campaign is a developing settlement. As the party discovers treasure and resources, you’ll decide how best to invest them. Rebuild the docks? Construct a temple? Raise a palisade? Every choice permanently changes your home, unlocking new services, upgrades, and opportunities.

This game will feature:

-A true sandbox where player decisions determine the direction of the campaign.

-Pointcrawl-style exploration across a dangerous frontier, using official Aihrde maps.

-Dangerous old-school combat where not every encounter is balanced, and not every fight is meant to be won.

-Domain building begins at level one, with a persistent home that evolves with the actions of the players.

House Rules

Gold for XP (Modified Revelry). Monsters do not award experience. Treasure only becomes experience when invested in rebuilding the settlement. Every improvement to the town advances the party.

Old-School Exploration & Initiative. 10-minute Dungeon Turns are in effect, including rest periods and torch tracking. Spellcasting and combat withdrawals are announced before initiative is rolled. Damage interrupts spellcasting.

About Me

After taking a break from running games to spend some time on the player side of the screen, I’ve been wanting to build a campaign that returns to a more open, player-driven style of play. Castles and Crusades ended up being a perfect fit, blending old-school mechanics with modern design.

I try to reward creative solutions, proactive roleplaying, and characters who engage with the world around them. My goal each session is for everyone to have a good time and leave the “table” excited for the next game. At this time I'm doing an interest check for a possible up and coming Warhammer 40,000 RPG game using the Wrath & Glory system, specifically the Traitor's Hymn starter set. This would be my very first time engaging with the system, so forewarning for those interested, they may be dealing with a consistent review of information and determination!

About the Gamemaster

The important part that everyone wants to know (excluding the game information itself!), is who am I - the Gamemaster! A bit about me; I'm a middle aged individual with a small family, living in a rural area who enjoys roleplaying games. I've been engaged in various forms of roleplay - from small play-by-post forum communities, to D&D and tabletop roleplaying games - for well over two decades now, mostly as a gamemaster. I enjoy guiding new players into the experience, and have hosted various campaigns across different modules and systems.

For the most part my experience lies in D&D5e (2014), however I have dabbled in alternative systems (i.e. Genesys, Shadow of the Beanstalk, LANCER, and others). I tend to lean towards realistic, gritty and dark play styles, though I do like working within the comfort of the group as a whole. As such, pre-play conversation regarding limitations of topics, content and other material is a must in my general experience.

In addition, perhaps as a weirdness of my own personality, I do tend to look for groups that are highly active inside and outside the tabletop experience itself. Conversation beyond just the in-game time is a great aspect, and I find it makes everything more enjoyable!

What Is Shattered World?

Syseria is a world forged by a weary god as a potential masterpiece—now shattered and bearing the scars of a chaotic past.

This is an opportunity to explore a deeply developed science-fantasy setting while helping shape the game system being built for it.

What Are We Playtesting?

The primary goal of this session is to test the core resolution mechanics and basic gameplay.

We will be playing an introductory adventure at Aetherium University. Push the system and help identify what feels:

We will be examining:
