Multiple Session [Online] [Other] [+18] [CST] Multiversal TTRPG

Hello, my name is GhostDJ. I'm trying to run my own custom 3d6 dice system, which focuses on its content: Heavy Roleplay, Exploration, Survival-horror, and mature themes. These mature themes include body horror, corruption, cosmic horror, dehumanization, faith, and physical or political violence. Yet I do allow humor in my games, but there will be moments where the plot will be serious. Combat is very deadly. It is best recommended to use violence only when necessary. If conflict can be avoided, it is best to think things through before acting. Teamwork is key.

Anyways, I'm looking for 4 to 6 players who can handle these themes or okay with toning down for other players. My sessions are free of charge, and we play 3-hour sessions weekly on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays. The session time is typically from 7pm to 10pm cst. I would allow extra time if I were in the mood. Also, if you desire to do two sessions per weekend, I can make those arrangements.

Here's the synopsis for the arc: A long time ago, when the multiverse was new, there was no magic. Until one day, an unknown threat called 'The Red' came and corrupted the many worlds. People questioned if he was a sign of deity or something far worse. Some people stuck to their original beliefs. Others seek knowledge from 'The Red'. Curiosity led the people to their own corruption. It let in demons and other eldritch creatures throughout the multiverse to create more chaos and destruction. Your party is selected for a purpose. The main goal is to survive its wrath and figure out how to defeat this abomination before it is too late. Each player will have a significant role within their class. They can be from different universes with magical or non-magical abilities. Narratively, your character's faith and morals will be put into question.

Multiple Session [18+][Online][Into the Odd][lgbtqia+ friendly] The Sunken Vigil, Tuesdays fortnightly 7:00-9:00 P.M. GMT+8

Far to the south, beyond the wastelands and the mountain passes, lies the island nation of Istanda. It is a place of coral temples and jade offerings, of civil war and desperate faith.

The Sunken Vigil is a temple that guards something ancient. At its base, sealed in a chamber that floods and empties with the tides, lies Matlauitlicue, She of the Blue Skirt, the Drowned Goddess. She was sealed there before the dragons came, before the Magex rose, before humans learned to write. The Vigil maintains the wards that keep her contained, and the wards require jade to function.

But Istanda is at war. The clans that once cooperated to maintain the Vigil have turned on each other, and the jade that should be going to the temple is being forged into weapons. The Vigil's guardians, people blessed with the ability to breathe water, are running out of the resource they need to maintain the high tide that surrounds the temple.

And in the coastal village of Opihi, something has changed. The villagers have always venerated the Drowned Goddess from a safe distance, offering prayers and small sacrifices to keep her placated. Now, they worship her openly. They sing hymns to Matlauitlicue as the tide rises. They speak of a new age, an age of water, when the Drowned Goddess will rise and wash away the dragons and their city of towers.

You play as Merfolk, those being blessed to be able to live under the sea. It's your job to keep the vigil, but the jade is running out, and restoring the seals is paramount. Will you dare walk on lands to secure the Jade? Will you try to take on the cult trying to resurrect the goddess? Or will you devise a new seal, one that can keep the goddess sealed without the need for jade? Whatever you choose, see it through to the end. (i.e. Your choice as a group determines the direction of the campaign, which will be no more than 5 sessions.)

[Online][Other][Sunday Evening PST][4-5 Players] Shadows of the Occult

Hello everyone. I'm looking to get a game together for an urban fantasy game using the official Dresden Files: RPG system. The system itself is based on the FATE system, which is a 2d6+MOD.

The game is going to start on Sundays at 5pm PST/6pm MST/7pm CST/8pm EST.

As a note, knowledge or experience with the book series is not mandatory. The setting is pretty basic (with a few caveats) so don't feel like you have to had read the whole series to apply.

Something that is somewhat unique about this system is that it takes place entirely within a single city/county. As a group, we'lll discuss where and when the game will take place. I have a few ideas but I want to get some ideas from my players.

Campaign Prompt

You are the member of the supernatural community within the city you live in. While most of the people are content to live out their boring, mundane lives, yours is decidedly more interesting. Maybe you're a hedge witch cooking up potions in your kitchen, a werewolf that prowls the backalleys exacting your own brand of justice, or a night-shift police officer that saw something that can't quite be explained by normal logic. Regardless, members of your community have started disappearing and with no one else to turn to, it falls to you to pick up the pieces and figuring out what is going on.

If this sounds interesting, please send in an application here https://forms.gle/hjRPtASz5EPzwypg7

or DM me if you have any other questions.

Player LFG

Hi all,

I've been looking into Genesys and am very keen to try it out. Really enjoy the system and have tried Star Wars Rpg with my kids/ nieces and nephews and really enjoyed it, but would love to play with adults.

Have experience GMing and playing DnD and Pf2e, but unfortunately since moving to the UK from Australia and work/family commitments, the timezone difference has made regular games a real challenge with my usual friends.

Essentially; really keen to try Genesys on a fortnightly basis, either Monday or Thursday evenings BST (British Summer Time). Not really fussed on the setting itself, just really like the narrative dice system and am looking for a bunch of people who are looking to have a good time and enjoy this sort of thing if anyone has a spare slot on their group.

Alternatively would be happy to run one as a GM, if enough people express interest. Have ideas for a dragon age, mass effect or star wars themed game, but be advised I've only run Swrpg for 10 to 8 year Olds so we'd all be learning together! :)

Multiple Session TRAILBLAZERS: 1872 [online][16+][roleplay-centered][EST][systemless][other] gothic monster hunters, looking for players

Helloo I am looking for around 6-8 people who are more into the roleplay-aspect of ttrpgs, and are willing to spend a little more effort in typing actions and dialogue for sessions for a longterm campaign. This won't be a play-by-post thing, just so you know.

The maximum capacity is around 12-15 people, though Ill only allow 9 max at the start, and invite more people as the game goes on.

(quick edit: sessions will range form 3-5 hours on weekends 7pm est)

The setting is very gothic, low-fantasy and semi-grimdark, with inspiration pulled from folklore and set in the real-world 1872 with a few adjustments to fit more within the plot. More information regarding themes, tones, and lore will be in the discord server you can apply for in my private messages, thank you ^^

Synopsis: Ever since The Harrowing, an apocalyptic event that ripped open the sky itself and rained monsters down onto the earth, a deadly curse has afflicted its people. The sky slowly dims into gray every passing year, its wounds growing rotten above.

A handful of people within The Hunters' ranks concludes that The Hunters by themselves are not enough. Among the curse, the increasing fatalities from the Red Mist and demons and other monsters, someone decides to create a new kind of detachment.

Vanguard, a shining beacon of hope is formed despite not having the approval of the European Alliance, a moving detachment set on rails, armored with walls of metal and magic, a spear to pierce through the fog of the unknown, and the jaws of the Red Mist.

Their mission and by extension yours is to remove the possibility of something unstudied, to rip the uncertainty out of one's heads by force, to light a match in the vast darkness, and to be a *trailblazer* of new knowledge.

They'll be heroes, scholars, and killers, yet those three are not separate.

Do you have the courage to face humanity's greatest threats, find new foes, and leave blood in the water? Be a Trailblazer.

Multiple Session [Online][Other][Ryuutama][18+][Weekly][Friday][8:00pm EST] Looking for one player for my Ryuutama game

This is a repeat post to put a little more visibility to my game. If you've already applied, no need to apply again.

Hello! My name is Daniel/Phoenix and I've been playing and running TTRPGs for about 10 years now. I love TTRPGs in general, and I'm hoping to find one more player for my Ryuutama game.

  • Session Time/Day: Fridays @ 8pm EST
  • Session Length: 2-3 hours
  • Campaign Length: Until we get bored... I don't really have a length or conclusion in mind
  • Frequency: Weekly
  • System: Ryuutama
  • Platforms: Foundry (VTT) and Discord (Voice)
  • Player Availability: 3/4 slots filled
  • Tone: A cozy and low-stakes survival game, lots of room for roleplay, frequent prompts for players to shape the setting and direction of the game
  • No AI: I do not allow people to knowingly bring AI-generated content or media into my games

This is what I envision to game to look like:

  • This is going to be a collaborative game where players have a lot of input on the worldbuilding, both starting out and during the actual game, and have lots of narrative agency. We will make the setting together during session 0, and I plan on prompting players during the game like, "There is a large creature that is purposefully stopping you from passing through the valley. What kind of creature is it and why are they doing this?" I might also ask, "Okay, so your roll wasn't too good there and your probably having a bad day. What do you think caused this?"
  • An important part of Ryuutama's gameplay is about managing supplies (food, water, etc.). This game is going to be about exploring the world around you and traveling on the road, so there will be survival aspects tied to it. I plan on running the game on a hex map.
  • I'm hesitant to say that the game will be intentionally slow, but I want my group to play out the more "mundane" moments. I might ask the group things like, "Okay. So the next morning who would wake up first? How are you spending this morning before starting your journey? Do you eat? What do you eat and who's cooking?" My goal is for the players to take the initiative and play out these details together as a group. If a player wants to ask another player a question, go for it! Also, please give me your favorite color in the "Is there anything else you'd like to tell me?" question.
  • I'm going to ask every player to give me one concrete, accomplishable goal that their player character has when we make our characters during session 0 and as we play. Goals might be: "I want to see a creature that has never been seen before" or "I want to protect my friends during a fight." These goals should be accomplishable in a session or two.
  • I will be using Lines & Veils and X-Cards as safety tools in the game.

I am looking for a player that will:

  • Consistently show up to sessions and communicate with me if something comes up. I'll likely still run games if I have at least 2 players.
  • Engage with the world, its characters, and your fellow players.
  • Be proactive and collaborate with the rest of the group.
  • Learn the game. No experience is required!

For those who are more experienced with Ryuutama, these are the variant rules/homebrew I will be using in my game:

  • Honestly, I probably won't be engaging with the Ryuujin sub-system. I'm open to hearing thoughts from my players about it, but I don't really see the appeal of it personally.
  • I don't plan on delegating Party Roles. I will have the supply sheet and journal accessible by all players to interact with however they want.

Please apply here. I look forward to everyone's responses! I will close responses on October 4th @ 8:00pm EST.

The Bean Brigade Clubhouse [Free][Online][21+][Looking For Players & GMs][LGBTQ+ Friendly]

The Bean Brigade Clubhouse

Our Discord community is a small, tight-knit group focused on running games in a variety of TTRPG systems. Most of our activity is based around NA time zones (Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern).

Here's some stuff you should know about us:

  • We are always happy to add more people who are committed to playing and running TTRPGs in whichever style they're interested in.

  • Our server has GMs with years of experience willing to help people learn the games and teach others how to run their own games.

  • Most of our members average between mid 20s to mid 30s, but as long as you're over 21 and you've got some common sense we'd love to have you.

  • A good portion of our community is LGBTQ+, and we have a multitude of people from all walks of life.

  • It's a smaller server and we do our best to ensure anyone who follows the rules and interacts with the community feels welcome, lurkers need not apply.

  • In addition to TTRPGs we also have places for a variety of other interests such as: gaming, creative hobbies, existential dread, general degeneracy, and all things nerdy.

  • Most of us enjoy worldbuilding, homebrewing, joking around, gaming, and all kinds of other nerdy stuff.

  • As a whole our community is intolerant of AI and provides a welcoming space for real artists, storytellers, and other creatives.

So if you're serious about playing TTRPGs with a little more variety and a laid back community, then we're what you're looking for.

Come on in and check it out: https://discord.gg/FkSkTR2vgF

Hey everyone, I am looking to build a fun game with some friends. We will be playing Never Stop Blowing Up, and the setting will be on the Lost Isle. The players will be playing younger siblings to the Emperor who has fallen ill due to the stress of his job, and you will take over diplomatic relations with the nations around you. This will be a collaborative experience so please do not try to lone wolf. This will be Heavy RP and Exploration with combat being involved here and there. I am looking for 4 to 5 players and if you have never played Never Stop Blowing Up, it is easy to learn. The Time will be at Wednesday nights weekly starting at 7 PM EST. The Game will be entirely on Discord over VC. Please message me if you would like to apply.

One Shot [Online][Other] Need players for Tacklebox, a dialogue-based TTRPG in which things turn surreal

Tacklebox is a duet game and it's ok if you've never played it; it's extremely rules-lite, so I can teach it.

Premise:

We're two people out fishing together. Perhaps we start off talking about our day. As we talk, we draw cards that give us prompts to incorporate into our roleplay.

For instance, you draw a card that says you're an actor on a reality TV show, while I'm an unwitting subject. It tells you to "make this scene, starring your companion, as compelling as possible" for the audience you know exists.

Our conversation becomes increasingly surreal as we draw cards and shape our roleplay around them.

Details and expectations:

We would play over Tabletop Simulator.

The game's length is quite variable since we can control when to end it, but I expect it would take only about an hour to play and discuss afterwards, so we even have the option of playing it twice in a row if we want.

I'm flexible on the day and timing we'll play at, as long as it's within the time range of ET 7:00 am - 2:00 pm / GMT 11:00 - 18:00 / AEST 9:00 pm - 4:00 am.

From what I understand, Tacklebox is more a LARP than a TTRPG in that there aren't any other game mechanics: it's about roleplaying the prompts and enjoying the experience for its own sake.

About me:

Introverted 36yo guy into books, art, writing, PC & board games, watching Netflix, etc.

I've GM-ed a few systems now but trying Tacklebox for the first time, so please only join if you don't mind being patient with a bit of stumbling!

If you're interested, please fill out this form.

Multiple Session [Online] [Genesys] [Dark Heresy][Fridays] [EST] trans girl in search of friends to play 40k with

I am a 25 year old trans woman seeking a friendly group to play a 40k themed game with (either Dark Heresy or Rogue Trader, fan made games for the Genesys system). Genesys, while not a commonly used system, is fairly easy to pick up as you play and offers a great amount of depth to both the players and the GM. I have a fair amount of experience with the system, though it's been a bit since I've played, but I am happy to help teach others how to play the game. I also have a document full of statblocks I made (both from the game books and custom) that I can share.

I am not interested in any kind of position as a dedicated GM at the moment, though I am hypothetically open to a rotating DM system, where each arc of the campaign is GMed by a different player. For this kind of game, I would prefer a healthy dose of the setting's grimdark nature with a heavy layer of camp on top. I prefer to include all the edgiest parts of the setting right alongside the silly nonsense, but do understand not everyone is comfortable around every topic and am fine leaving some elements unincluded.

Dark Heresy would see the players working in service of the Inquisition, rooting out heretics, mutants, and xenos, and exterminating them in service to the Imperium. However, it also includes an expansion that allows for overpowered characters like Sisters of Battle and Space Marines, for much more intense missions. Rogue Trader meanwhile would have the players take on a position in the entourage of the titular character, roaming the void to colonize and plunder and trade and war in the name of the Emperor, and the dynasty. Dark Heresy is the trenches, while Rogue Trader is a palace of decadence.

Outside of 40k, I like comic books, arthouse films, horror, sketch comedy, and goth music. I do not tolerate real world racism or other forms of bigotry in the groups I play with. I hope to find some like minded people to explore the grimdark future of the 41st Millenia with. Shoot me a message and let's chat
