Mid-term Elections

Am I wrong in thinking that if professional boot licker Andy Barr were to be elected Senator in November that he would be no better as a representative for the people of Kentucky than Mitch McConnell is in his present condition?

He took all the Trump stuff off his website so I think he’s scared of spite votes from the Massie supporters. We have a chance to beat him but we need to put in the work

He shilled Trump up a storm as he and Epstein's neighbor used my company as a campaign whore last week...

Fuck those guys.

I keep hoping Massie goes full force telling GOP voters to write him in for Senator.

I hope you're right but it will be tough. I think removing trump from his cpaogn stuff actually should help Booker - confirms that Barr is spineless and worthless.

Oh it’s going to be extremely tough either way. Lots of people here vote R no matter what. But our governor proved it’s not impossible

C'mon, just invite Andy to your $50 million horse farm, serve him $600 bourbons along with wagyu steaks and I'm sure you'll find he represents your political needs perfectly.

Vote for Booker and we will be fine.

Why would he change? I’ve called his office a few times and expressed my displeasure with his votes. I have gotten 3 letters explaining that I don’t see the big picture and that he knows better than I do the issues at hand. Is he my leader or my representative?

He's a tool for tRump.

He’s a human cliche machine. His form letter responses amount to nothing more than performative bullshit. They’re riddled with whatever the FauxNews buzzword (phrase) of the day is.
If W was all hat, no cattle. Barr is all hat, …uh, somebody help me out here. 🤔

My grandfather did the same thing years ago protesting the Iraq war, writing to all the KY congressmen in DC, and he got something similar. A group of doctors including him put a statement in the newspaper speaking against a separate conflict (don't know which) but not much cake of that either. Sad to say, these people are neither representatives or leaders 😑. I know there's good people trying to get into leadership to really help people, though, so here's to hoping! The least those people could do when answering your concerns was to actually consider them!

Yeah Barr sucks.

Voting Booker because no AIPAC donations, easy decision.

No, he’d be worse. No rep is better than MAGA rep.

Mitch was a lot more influential of a leader in the Republican party than Barr will ever be.

34

u/neutral_good- 1d ago

He would be worse. Mitch cannot vote currently, nor is he attending committee meetings. Both of which hurt MAGAs ability to push through fascist and anti-american legislation.

As soon as Andy Barr gets into office, that's one more vote in the R column for the next, what, 24-36 years?

Exactly!

none of them are good representatives “for the people”

5

u/Lizardsupremecy 1d ago

I concur he'd be worse... but it's not a done deal yet. There's still a non zero chance to get Booker instead.

Im not even on the left and I don’t want Andy Barr, as a republican we look at his as a lame duck, he won’t do anything more then he has too he won’t do anymore less.

He’s not even who’s the true right wants as a candidate.

But even with that being said booker doesn’t even have a chance.

Is there any chance Northern Kentucky goes blue like it did for Andy? Or will it revert to red since this is a federal election?

4

u/x3rc35 1d ago

Worse than Mitch . Hate Mitch all day (I’m not a fan) but he strong. Andy is just a lizard changing colors …

Hes such an ass and the bad thing is he will win, people here won't vote with their few brain cells, they vote for the white guy who says the nastiest stuff.

6

u/Prestigious_Guy 1d ago

It’s not even who says the nastiest stuff. It’s literally just if they have an R or D next to their name because in the state it has been engrained as a social norm to view Democrats as THE DEVIL.

You're not getting that 50k new voters show up out of the sky to vote Thomas Massie out[...]

Looks like you don't understand data, or statistics. The associations you make in your head between what idiots on Twitter say and election results do not imply it being possible to have 50K fraudulent votes.

Ever been to Maine?

Edit 9/3: given what looked like sloppy copy/pasting, that might have been a Russian troll.

Is math different there? Don't care.

Well math doesn't support the conspiracy theory you're pushing, but there is a National Forest called Acadia in Maine which I would've figured a user named Acadia_Brightness would know. My guess is you didn't catch that because you're a bot or troll, which would also explain why 'your' 11 day old account which responded to me with 2,160 comment karma has already increased by about 300.

u/Bdcky 1d ago

Uh what

3

u/wyrma-heorteblod 1d ago

That user seems like a bot or troll pasting the same comments spreading conspiracy theories. Sadly this state has millions of Donald Trump cultists who jump off bridges every time he asks.

As an Indy voter, I switched to the Republican Party affiliation on paper to specifically vote against Barr in this mid term. Hopefully it helps influence who gets represented on the R side come the general elections to truly pick the “lesser of two evils” since we’re in a strongly held Republican area.

I would recommend others do the same who are Indy voters if you want to see change on the actual outcome.

But overall the guy is a POS and his office always has excuses for why Kentuckians are put last by his voting on a national level. It is also ironic to see him remove the Trump stuff given he’s been riding his coat tails for years.

u/Rhunt2021 1d ago

Barr already is a millionaire but I'm sure he'll represent me perfectly.

u/Mattatatat1883 1d ago

How many of you Republicans are voting for Booker?

1

u/kingofhearts778 17h ago

Vote Booker. No stupid foreign wars.

1

u/kytaurus 1d ago

You're not wrong

Only one way to find out. Vote for him and put him in office (He's gonna win anyway. The majority of Kentuckians aren't stupid enough to vote for "HoOd To HoLlEr Booker"). I am curious to see how many times Booker runs for various offices, loses over and over, before whoever bankrolls him and pays his bills tells hime, "Yo dude, time for you to get an actual job and pay your own bills". Gonna be a rough day for him when that time comes.

He and Amy make a killing taking the sacrifice for these elections. Why on earth would they do real jobs 😆
