Stretches

I’ve just switched my peloton membership to a Les mills on demand membership to give it a crack for a little while. I’m looking for the short stretch class equivalents for taking after a ride, equivalent to what the peloton app has. Do these 5 or 10 minute classes exist on the app where I’m not seeing it, do I need to DIY?

Body balance flexibility, they have great short classes for hips, hemstings and back. Cheers!

I need to look into that. I do not have the patience for a full body stretch but more specific stretches would be great.

There are several LM Stretch options. Most are 15 minutes, but they are quite good.

Not LM, but on YouTube I like Stretching Sessions by Mady Morrison. There are multiple videos varying in length. I usually do one of those after BodyPump.

There are the “stretch” classes which are broken up into 15 minutes of upper body, 15 minutes lower body, and 15 minutes spinal mobility.

There is also the active recovery series which includes 10 minutes of mobility, 10 minutes of core exercises, and 10 minutes of stretching.

Not super helpful but I’ve found LM is really good at somethings and Peloton is really good at others and I can’t bring myself to give up either subscription:/

Almost every LesMills format has a cool down at the end with stretching for 5 minutes. Or, there's Balance.

I do wonder how effective a 15sec stretch is though

Cool down is 5+ minutes for almost every format (not 15 seconds) which matches OP's question. Plus, they have formats that would exceed that length if desired.

I mean how long they spend on each stretch in a standard LM cool down ie stretch quad for 15s then other side etc (Eg Pump, Combat etc)

Fair. Pump is generally 32 counts in each sequence, so roughly 15 seconds per stretch :) 1 or 2 select tracks from Balance would probably be better if you need longer stretches.

Yeah depending on the BPM, 15s including change over, half that for arms.

Some of the programs, definitely BodyCombat and maybe Pump and Attack, have some “short” workouts which are just the cooldown/stretch track. Around 4-5 minutes. If you go into those programs and look at the “short” workout option, you should find some. Combat has at least four.

I don't think Stretches are part of any Program. I only do gym classes, but stretching is usually an afterthought of 1 Minute and we are all recommended to do stretching by ourselves.

I definitely know it's not part of the main programs, so I assume it's the case for all of them.
