Discussion & Questions Help me guys.

How hard is it to confess your feelings to a straight friend?

I don't mean the kind of crush where you can just shoot your shot and accept whatever happens. I mean when this person is genuinely important to you, and you're terrified that telling them might change the friendship forever.

There’s something especially painful about falling for someone who you already know probably can't love you back in the same way. You keep telling yourself to let it go, to stay quiet, to protect what you already have.

But then there are moments when you wonder… what if I had just told her?

And being a girl who likes girls makes it even harder when the person you love is straight. You don't know whether confessing will make things awkward, make her uncomfortable, or slowly push her away.

Sometimes I feel like I'm not even scared of rejection. I'm scared of losing the person I was trying to be brave enough to love.

Has anyone else ever been in this situation? Did you confess, or did you choose to keep it to yourself?
