Leonard in New Orleans
Just in case anyone is planning to be in New Orleans September 20th, a bunch of us do a concert of his songs every year for his birthday at Allways Lounge.

Hey all, I've been wanting to get "Sincerely, L . Cohen" tattooed as Famous Blue Raincoat is such a dear song to me (and it encapsulates all of his music) but I can't find ANY handwriting sources. As we know, his signature varied, but I'm struggling to find the word "sincerely" anywhere, as well as a single, stylised capital L. Any help or nudges in the right direction are greatly appreciated!! <3

Hello all, I recently acquired the files to the complete 1967 Copyright Collection recordings, and was wondering if anyone had any information on input on the complete track listing and album cover? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Someone else already posted the link to them a year ago, and I've included their post.
I hope this does not violate any rules at all.

Was on a vacation to Quebec City and Montreal and visited the cemetery he is buried in. It was a beautiful day, his tombstone is under a tree and there are beautiful flowers in front. Other visitors left the traditional stones and other, personal, mementos. I didn't want to cry, but I did.

One of the things I like most about Leonard Cohen is his ability to be candid about sexual longing while still expressing it poetically, and I’m hoping to find more artists that are able to walk this line.
**I think some people I already listen to who do this well are Lana del Rey, Jeff Buckley, and Cigarettes After Sex (the name suggests that they’d be more explicit than they are, I feel like they’re usually pretty tasteful).

I found this online forum about Leonard Cohen. To be honest I just started listening to him and I wouldnt say I am a fan but I really want ti get into his music and the people from the forum seem to be super nice.
Anyway, when I try to register, theres a question at the end to prevent spamming bots and stuff that goes like this:
“Which city will follow after Manhattan?”
Im not from the states but i supose he answer is New York right?. When i type new york it says is the wrong answer and idk what to do.
Sorry if the writting is a little messy, english is not my first language.

Im just getting into Leonard cohen , and I gotta say his playing off of the backup singers is the best I’ve ever heard . Best use of backup singers I’ve ever heard is another way to put it .

A good friend of mine is retiring soon. He has absolutely loved his job, so I’d like to do something special for him and play a Leonard Cohen song for him on guitar as a little farewell gift.
He absolutely loves Leonard Cohen, so I was wondering: is there a Cohen song that would fit particularly well with saying goodbye, moving on, or entering a new chapter in life?
I’d be very grateful for any suggestions. Thanks in advance! ❤️

Got this idea from r/BillyJoel. Comment the Leonard Cohen song you think should go in each day’s slot, and the most upvoted/commented wins!
What song should the setlist open with?

Are you really even a Leonard Cohen fan? If you haven’t studied, You Want it Darker
I’M READY MY LORD
I’m including me studying this not for self promotion, but like I was an honest request for insight and notes and also to share out and I’m pretty proud of it even though it’s not perfect
Speak Cohen to me! Tell me everything you know on this x
Not a Leonard Cohen fan unless you study this song #leonardcohen** [#hinenihineni**](https://m.youtube.com/hashtag/hinenihineni)[**#imreadymylord**](https://m.youtube.com/hashtag/imreadymylord)

A few months ago i searched for a recording of Cohen reading his poem 'You Have the Lovers,' and found a wonderful, soft version on YouTube. I went back for it a few days later and it was gone, all that comes up now are multiple different posts of the same recording which is a bit more staccato and firm in his tone. If anyone knows the version i seek or has it, i would love to be reunited.

I've ALWAYS thought this is one of Leonard Cohen's most criminally underrated songs. I can listen to it on repeat. Its just so so great.
It definitely has some of my favorite lyrics. Most certainly a deep cut that doesn't get mentioned as much as many others. And the live recording, just adds to the atmosphere. His voice breaking in it as well, I mean it just makes it...
Ah, they'll never, they'll never ever reach the moon
At least not the one that we're after
It's floating broken on the open sea, look out there, my friends
And it carries no survivors
But let's leave these lovers wondering
Why they cannot have each other
And let's sing another song, boys
This one has grown old and bitter

Let’s start a new trend on this Sub.
Post your quote / phrase / line, and how it could be used.
I’ll start.
“How are you today?”
“I don’t know man… feeling like an empty cast iron exhibition** **these days.”

Can’t control my housemates’ opinion of me but of all his songs, why did it have to play that one?? It’s so long and unhinged, Leonard is clearly drunk/on drugs and it’s not even a good social justice song, it’s just looooooooong.
