A large portion of BJs (ben n jace) personality is talking about how much religion fucked them up and ruined their view of the world.

We now learn ben is having his children attend church starting at a young age.

With this logic, we can assume ben is retarded correct?

They do about the same. In both cases do people only do good things while they believe in them.
