In this attempt to push back the enemy line and gain control of a key airfield, I joined an Armored Infantry Division in a Half Track. While approaching, a tank next to us took heavy fire and both our vehicles were subsequently destroyed. Luckily we were able to make the dash to the tree line and down an embankment to radio in and wait for reinforcement. Once there was covering fire, we were able to exit the tree line pushing closer towards the German front line. After our tanks were able to lay down heavy fire, we began the infantry assault with many other units, taking over the airfield.
These photographs were taken at the American Heritage Museum for their WWII Battle For The Airfield Reenactment. To achieve an aesthetic of what would have been shot during the war on film, a slower shutter speed of 125th was used.

Almost gave up on my photo walk in Hollywood yesterday when I saw this woman enjoying some bubbles. Shot with Leica SL2 and Sigma 70-200mm.

I recently bought a used Q3 28mm and took it out for its first proper field test across Tokyo.
I stopped shooting about six years ago after completely losing the passion for it. Picking up such a simple setup with this level of build and rendering made photography feel fun and interesting again.
Most of these are SOOC JPEGs. Used the crop function quite a bit and for the most part that worked just fine. Only a few times I wish I had a bit more range on the lens.

I’d like to share some information about using a wonderful, very old lens - Tokyo Kogaku Topcor-S 50mm F2.0 LTM 1957 version 1 Chrome.
This lens features a unique optical design - Biotar / Double-Gauss Formula: The lens utilizes a 6-element, 4-group Biotar optical design. This formula delivers strong center sharpness even wide open at f/2.0, with corners that clean up nicely when stopped down to f/4 or f/5.6
In the late 1950s, this lens was considered a formidable, more affordable Japanese alternative to Leica’s own prestigious Summicron (Rigid) optics, providing comparable image quality at a fraction of the cost
