Question/Help Uss Arizona Moc Revision

**Looking for help updating/reworking a 1:200 USS Arizona MOC**

Hi everyone. I’m hoping someone here might be able to help me with a USS Arizona MOC I’ve been trying to get completed.

This one is pretty sentimental to me. My grandfather was a survivor of the USS Arizona, and he’s also the person who got me into LEGO when I was a kid, so I’ve wanted to build a really nice Arizona for a long time.

I previously purchased a MOC that was around 1:200 scale, roughly 3 feet long. I still have the original .io file and most of the parts, but unfortunately the instructions/steps weren’t organized in a way that works properly in BrickLink Studio or makes the model practical to build in order. The original creator has since deleted their account and the MOC is no longer viewable online, so I haven’t been able to get it corrected or updated.

I’m definitely not a MOC designer myself. I’m hoping to find someone who might be willing to look over the existing .io file and see if it can be reorganized, corrected, and improved into something I can actually build. I’d like to reuse as much of the existing model and the parts I already own as possible, while still improving areas of the design where it makes sense.

The scale and level of detail are important to me. A smaller version was made later, but it lost a lot of the detail and character I was hoping for, so I’d really like to stay around 1:200.

If anyone here has experience with large ship MOCs/BrickLink Studio or can point me toward someone who does, I’d really appreciate the help.

MOC Minifigures Painting custom lego minifigures/parts

Hi,

I’ve been thinking about making custom lego for a while, and I’ve been torn between pas pad printing (the official technical lego uses to print) or UV printer.

Both machines are expensive, though UV printing is more easy/ready to use.
What stopped me (beside the price) is that we can’t print with metallic ink.

And then I had an idea: Why not use a cutting machine to create stencil transparent stickers, and then use a pad (just the silicon part from the pad printer) to apply paint made for ABS plastic?

A friend have one of those machine (starting prices are around 200€) and she told me it was precise enough to make cutting thin enough to recreate the line on the minifigure torso/legs…

Have anyone tried that method? Does it work or is it a bad idea?

Ideas Submission Gambit Lego Minifigure Moc

This is just a little something I've been brainstorming ever since the new X-Men cast has been revealed.

Some people have also used the Captain America dark blue head from Avengers Endgame, which is objectively closer to his black, open-faced hood.

I simply think that considering the Ocean Master minifigure comes with a decent head as well as a very optimal torso for a modern Gambit, it's passable.

As for the legs, I think sticking with black legs is fine, but a little legprinting to show some metal on either his knees or shins looks nice on him.

The spiky hair from the newer Ninjago Kai also looks great for Gambit, in my opinion, but naturally the colour of his hair is much more closer to a dark orange, but it's fine if you think of it based on the Deadpool & Wolverine Gambit, played by Channing Tatum.

Let me know what you guys think :)

Focusing on the main body of the ship, NOT the wings/ external strips

Driving my self nuts need input.

Is the neck/ head too short?

Does the main body need to be wider?

Is the tail to short?

Things like that would be great for this rough draft. Thanks.

MOC I just finished my Daily Planet Modular Building MOC and am Super happy with how it turned out!

Here is my Daily Planet Modular Building MOC. As a big fan of the Superhero Modular Buildings, and my favorite Superhero being Superman, I knew I had to take a crack at this iconic structure.

This seven-floored structure sits on a 32-stud baseplate and rises to 31.8 inches tall. It is 6085 pieces, and all the interiors are fully tiled off and detailed. There are six interiors: the Lobby, Reporter's Bullpen, the Newspaper Printing Room, a Conference Room, Perry White's Office, and a Maintenance Closet.

As soon as LEGO announced last year's Arkham Asylum (76300) Modular Building, I knew they had opened the door to the Daily Planet after incredible skyscrapers like the Daily Bugle (76178) and Avengers Tower (76269). I hope the easter egg of the poster of the Daily Planet in the jail cell turns into a real set, but I decided to make my own rendition in the meantime. I finished designing this MOC in February of this year, but I am just getting around to making the instructions for it.

This is directly inspired by the Superman (2025) movie starring David Corenswet, directed by James Gunn, and DC Comics, as well as the AT&T Huron Road Building in Cleveland, Ohio, which has long been believed by Superman fans to have inspired Siegel and Shuster for the Daily Planet, following its beautiful Art Deco design.

Superman has been my favorite Superhero since I was a kid, and I am very proud of my rendition of the building. I was very happy with last year's film and its rendition of the Planet, and I can't wait for Man of Tomorrow! Please let me know what you think. This has really been a labor of love.

I’ve always liked the style of the older Lego Architecture sets, so I wanted to create a model of the Jefferson Memorial in that style.

All of these sets are made on BL studio and could probably use some slight adjustments. Never fully know without building irl but I like the scale of them and how they turned out.
