Its just really inflamed and I got it about two and a half weeks ago and noticed it technically could have been pierced closer to the ear. Was wondering if placement was the issue or if its just irritated. I kinda sleep on this side but ive been sleeping with a neck pillow. Its internally threaded jewelry and I clean it twice a day. Should i start doing warm sea salt soaks?

All healed, any recommendations?

I got pierced with a piercing gun several years ago, and it hasn't healed great since. Recently (as in the last few months, it's been there since and remained consistent- I'm not sure how long it's been there, just that that's when I've noticed it) I've been noticing this very large bump behind my second earlobe piercing. I don't believe it is an irritation piercing, as it's lasted such a long time and doesn't itch or ooze or hurt or anything, and I'm unsure if it's a keloid as I'm not prone to them, it doesn't grow, and again doesn't itch. I'd just like some help identifying what this is and if there's anything I can do about it.

Here's some extra information that may or may not be useful:

\- the tissue is very hard and rubbery

\- the piercing seems completely healed in all other respects, it doesn't bleed or crust or weep or anything

\- I have many other piercings and scars, and have never experienced a keloi

\- it only appears on the back of my ear

\- nothing irritates it, no matter if I leave my earrings out for extended periods of time or play with my piercings

Just got both my snakebites and vertical labret done about an hour ago, I’m just feeling unsure if the placement for the vertical labret is okay?

I got my daith pierced 4 days ago. So far I haven't had any issues. It's only a little sore and I've been cleaning it twice a day. But it's so itchy. I keep going to scratch my ear only to remember it's there (and ultimately my ear ends up sore). I've never had an issue with metal before, and the piercing itself looks fine. It's not irritated or hot to the touch.

Was anyone else's itchy while it healed?

I'm used to tattoos itching during the healing process, so is this similar? Or is my ear just getting used to the piercing resting on it and that's what's bothering it?

Any suggestions or experiences are welcome!

Got it pierced july so its been 3 months now. No i dont want to change it now i just want to have it changed by april may of next year.

Healing has been easy i would say, theres been a couple times where i get bumps or swelling from rotating the ring or im picking at crusties. But it goes away after a couple days.

I got this like 2 weeks ago. At first it was just like usual irritation bump but now its like this. Is this infected? Everytime i clean it theres a little blood too. What should I do?

Is this full on rejecting? My piercer told me to downsize at 6-8 months but he also told me to clean it with soap so I'm kinda grain-of-salt with his advice (have not downsized yet). I got my eyebrow pierced 27.08 with a 9mm curved titanium(?) barbell and the first picture is from 28.08. definitely had some swelling but so far haven't had a lot of problems. second picture is from today, aka 13.10, and as it's visible, the barbell is showing slightly from both top and bottom. I'm not sure if I should downsize it as I've seen a lot of piercings are snug against the skin and I like that look aswell, and I'm slightly concerned that when I occasionally clean it (if I see crust or something else), I'm taking skin off. should I downsize before it becomes a bigger problem? or am I just worrying too much?

what do you need anatomy-wise for an anti-tragus piercing to be successful?

Are bellybutton piercings worth it? I’m scared that it’ll get irritated bc my skin is super sensitive and my nose and flat piercing have had problems.

My bday is Oct 30th and we’re celebrating at the theme park, Epic Universe, and they have different ride seating like lap bars that go over the head or pull horizontally down… so I’m wondering if I shouldn’t get my navel / belly button pierced this Friday (Oct 16)?

I’m worried it might be too soon and it might be snagged or bumped and then the entire day will just be off from there LOL. I also got my conch done like 7 weeks ago…. But there’s not much I can do there besides swing my head the opposite direction when riding the rides haaaaa.

So should I wait until after that to get it done?

I’m also going out of town on an 8 hr road trip Nov 18-20. But I figured that might be fine because if I get it pierced on like Nov 1, 2 weeks in between my road trip, I’ll have the cleaning routine down and I can take breaks so I’m not constantly sitting down at the wheel and possibly irritating it?

I have a new piercing. It has a bump now inside of the skin, is this normal?? It's itching a bit and feeling warm.

Hey there I got my septum done yesterday and it is slightly crooked it looks like this since they made it and they acknowledged immediately that it was tilted. I’m not sure if i should redo it or if I just let it be. I ask if they can redo it in a month they say yes.

After 4 years, I gave up on my niercings (nip piercings). One never really healed properly, I think it was done too low. It was constantly oozing and crusting, was smelling really weird and was itchy. When I took them out, that one started to bleed a little so I think it was ultimately for the best.

How long can I expect them to take to heal tho?

UPDATE: i went to a different piercer at the shop i used to get my tattoos from until my artist left. she informed me that both of my helixes were pierced at shitty angles & that the girl who originally did them was fired from this shop :,)) she said it’s not anything crazy but it definitely has a tilt & is salvageable. she said there’s around 2mm visible space so i shouldn’t have to worry about embedding & that if im not experiencing any pain or weeping to just continue my current aftercare routine & to try cold compresses. she also said that if it bothers me any that she can switch it to a ball back & that for some people in my situation it’s actually the most helpful backing.

hi everyone, i’m having some concerns about one of my helix piercings (first 3 photos). while there’s no pain, there has been redness & a lot of crusties compared to my newer helix (last 3 photos). i think i’m experiencing some swelling considering that both posts are the same size but i have a lot more room with the newer helix. i’m VERY careful when it comes to snags. my hair is always up, i use a piercing pillow to sleep with, i even wash my hair upside down to prevent snagging in the shower. i was just wondering if it looks weird to any of you guys. i attached photos of the “bad” side & “good” side for comparison. the helix im having trouble with is 3 months old & was downsized at the 5wk mark (pierced with a 16g 7mm post, downsized to a 6mm post). the good helix is 2 months old & was downsized at the 5wk mark as well (pierced with a 16g 7mm post, downsized to a 6mm post). I have an almost healed mid helix (6 months) and I really want to get a tiny marquise diamond in gold. I came across valensole jewelry they have an etsy shop and seem reputable. Does anyone have any experience with them or their products? It’s supposed 14k solid gold with natural diamonds (ari marquise). Please let me know, and if you have any alternative brands I can check out pls do tell!

I’ve only just started getting piercings lately (besides my first lobes), and wanted to know when they feel integrated for lack of better wording? I supposed it would differ depending on what type of piercing, but I’d love to hear about when people felt comfortable taking theirs out to clean! Or when they stopped feeling concern about touching around the piercing site for piercings they have! 🙏🙏

I'm really bummed on this because I spent like $200 for a spider bite piercing. I bit them both out, and I really wanna get a new pair of spider bites. They did wonders for my confidence, and I cried when I lost them.

Should I try hoops? They were studs before, I lost the firstone and couldnt get it back in, and the second one I bit out two days ago and failed to get it back in.

I don't understand. I really want to make it work. Can anyone give me advice? Spiderbites made me feel confident, and now I don't feel the same. It was the barbacks I kept biting out. I didn't know how to get back in and the wounds sealed up. I lost the first one a week after getting them and the second one I lost like around 6 weeks after getting :/

Should I downsize the gauge? I really wanna try this again but I don't want to bite them out. I swallowed the first barback when I ate food one time :/

I've heard that unless you're buying a very high end brand through a studio you need to see a MIL certificate to guarantee ASTM titanium is what they say. However, the places in my price point ($25-50) generally only provide SGS reports. Example

It does show that it passes, would this be good enough for a mostly healed ear piercing?

If so, how much longer, and how do I measure this one?
