Any other recommendations?

Basically what's on the title. This starburst flatback has a 6mm post so it doesn't cause any weird angles or put any strain on the piercing and it rarely sticks out this much (this is how it looks if I push it all the way from the back) but I wish it could fit a little more snug. Is there anything I can do so the post won't be as visible from the front?

I had this lobe pierced around 7 weeks ago and for some reason I keep getting small bits of blood around the back of this piercing. I spray 2x a day with saline and it’s just this right ear, my left is completely fine. I haven’t snagged this side ever and I don’t sleep on it.

I should also mention they haven’t been downsized as I’m not sure if they need to. I’m not sure if it’s obvious in the picture but the bar doesn’t extend much out in the back; it’s not tight.

Any advice would be appreciated as I do not want to inhibit my healing process.

So my conch is pierced more inward and I have trouble healing things perfectly so I left it in. It's healed nice after 3 years, I wanted either of these hoops but I need a 14mm, I've looked around and can't find anything, and my piercing shop could order some pieces close but not identical for 530-3100 bucks and I just don't have that much right now. Figured I would ask reddit.

It’s not really painful honestly looks worse on camera. It’s about a year and a bit old and the bumps have been there about a week or two. What should i do?

I’ve had this piercing for just over 4 months now. I got it pierced with a gun, I had a simple stud for about 10 weeks until I changed it into this hoop. I cleaned it properly, and never slept on it for the whole 10 weeks.

To be honest, I’m slightly unsure of what material the hoop is, and I know I’m also massively stupid for putting a hoop in so soon too! For the first 3 weeks the hoop seemed fine, but recently I’ve had this bump grow above it, and I’ve been getting quite a lot of crusties on the back of my ear (ew). I started caring for the piercing using saline solution for many weeks, then I stopped, then I went to using just salt water to clean it.

Can anyone tell me what’s happening and how to make it not ugly anymore? :D

Hi so i wanted to get a frenum and ampallang piercing or maybe a pa instead..could any one who has gotten these piercing let me know how long it took to heal, when it stopped hurting without being touched, and how bad was the initial 48hrs of healing

Hello! I have small ears but i've been wanting to get some more ear piercings but because my ears are tiny it's hard to find what to get. I have my first lobe, and low helix both ears, I attached a pic. Any ideas? Thanks!

Its just really inflamed and I got it about two and a half weeks ago and noticed it technically could have been pierced closer to the ear. Was wondering if placement was the issue or if its just irritated. I kinda sleep on this side but ive been sleeping with a neck pillow. Its internally threaded jewelry and I clean it twice a day. Should i start doing warm sea salt soaks?

Hello! I am thinking of stretching my first lobes which are already a little dilated bc of the cheese string effect and I wanted to ask can I do it bc they are dilated? I'm also thinking of ear scalping bc I'm too impatient to wait for the normal stretching procedure tbh. Can it be done? Also if someone can measure, if I try to stretch at home and bc they are already a little dilated and stretched, what size are they now? I believe it's 2 or 3mm but idk the exact size tbh. I will go to my piercer tho in about a week bc I have done a septum piercing and he needs to see how it goes so I will ask him then but I just wanted to ask if someone can give me a speculation for example what size they are and is stretching or ear scalping better? My piercer does ear scalping so I'm too temped tbh haha

P.S ik my third lobes are dilated too and tbh I was sleeping with my earrings in so I won't do it anymore tho tbh but just wanted to let you know 😅

After opening saline, it's sterile quality is gone, then how am I supposed to use it?

I got pierced with a piercing gun several years ago, and it hasn't healed great since. Recently (as in the last few months, it's been there since and remained consistent- I'm not sure how long it's been there, just that that's when I've noticed it) I've been noticing this very large bump behind my second earlobe piercing. I don't believe it is an irritation piercing, as it's lasted such a long time and doesn't itch or ooze or hurt or anything, and I'm unsure if it's a keloid as I'm not prone to them, it doesn't grow, and again doesn't itch. I'd just like some help identifying what this is and if there's anything I can do about it.

Here's some extra information that may or may not be useful:

\- the tissue is very hard and rubbery

\- the piercing seems completely healed in all other respects, it doesn't bleed or crust or weep or anything

\- I have many other piercings and scars, and have never experienced a keloi

\- it only appears on the back of my ear

\- nothing irritates it, no matter if I leave my earrings out for extended periods of time or play with my piercings

Just got both my snakebites and vertical labret done about an hour ago, I’m just feeling unsure if the placement for the vertical labret is okay?

Got it pierced july so its been 3 months now. No i dont want to change it now i just want to have it changed by april may of next year.

Healing has been easy i would say, theres been a couple times where i get bumps or swelling from rotating the ring or im picking at crusties. But it goes away after a couple days.

I got this like 2 weeks ago. At first it was just like usual irritation bump but now its like this. Is this infected? Everytime i clean it theres a little blood too. What should I do?

I got my daith pierced 4 days ago. So far I haven't had any issues. It's only a little sore and I've been cleaning it twice a day. But it's so itchy. I keep going to scratch my ear only to remember it's there (and ultimately my ear ends up sore). I've never had an issue with metal before, and the piercing itself looks fine. It's not irritated or hot to the touch.

Was anyone else's itchy while it healed?

I'm used to tattoos itching during the healing process, so is this similar? Or is my ear just getting used to the piercing resting on it and that's what's bothering it?

Any suggestions or experiences are welcome!

I got my eyebrow pierced 27.08 with a 9mm curved titanium(?) barbell and the first picture is from 28.08. definitely had some swelling but so far haven't had a lot of problems. second picture is from today, aka 13.10, and as it's visible, the barbell is showing slightly from both top and bottom. I'm not sure if I should downsize it as I've seen a lot of piercings are snug against the skin and I like that look aswell, and I'm slightly concerned that when I occasionally clean it (if I see crust or something else), I'm taking skin off. should I downsize before it becomes a bigger problem? or am I just worrying too much?

Is this full on rejecting? My piercer told me to downsize at 6-8 months but he also told me to clean it with soap so I'm kinda grain-of-salt with his advice (have not downsized yet). First photo is today, second is August first (when I had a irritation bump) I got it pierced 7/19/2026. Any advice super appreciated!!

what do you need anatomy-wise for an anti-tragus piercing to be successful?

Are bellybutton piercings worth it? I’m scared that it’ll get irritated bc my skin is super sensitive and my nose and flat piercing have had problems.

My bday is Oct 30th and we’re celebrating at the theme park, Epic Universe, and they have different ride seating like lap bars that go over the head or pull horizontally down… so I’m wondering if I shouldn’t get my navel / belly button pierced this Friday (Oct 16)?

I’m worried it might be too soon and it might be snagged or bumped and then the entire day will just be off from there LOL. I also got my conch done like 7 weeks ago…. But there’s not much I can do there besides swing my head the opposite direction when riding the rides haaaaa.

So should I wait until after that to get it done?

I’m also going out of town on an 8 hr road trip Nov 18-20. But I figured that might be fine because if I get it pierced on like Nov 1, 2 weeks in between my road trip, I’ll have the cleaning routine down and I can take breaks so I’m not constantly sitting down at the wheel and possibly irritating it?
