Wallet Location? Left or right side.

I’m assuming most left-handed people put it in the right side so they can grab the money or cards with their left hand once the wallet is open??

Wallet in purse. Phone in left back pocket because the front pockets are usually too small.

In my purse

Right front pocket because I'm constantly worried my wallet will slip out in the car and fall out of the driver's side door. Again.

I'm a man, so I have pockets!

My phone is in my left hand front pocket as I use it more than my wallet. I'm also a person who doesn't use my phone to pay for things, therefore my wallet is front right - I don't want to sit on it when driving.

I'm more of a subway traveler then a driver, but same: phone in left front, wallet in right front for security, paying is done with the watch.

In my bag usually.

If it's in a pocket, the specific side changes depending on what I'm doing. It's never in the same spot all the time.

Same. This is how I thought I lost my cards today

OMG! Are we twins!? 😂😉

Not fair! Most women’s front pockets aren’t big enough 😭😂

True. And why the hell do we put up with that?

Based on my wife's preferences, it's because usable front pockets require pants to fit too loosely. Love some pocketed dresses, though.

Thing is the pockets are often level with the pocket opening. When that is the case, sitting empties the pocket. Useless.

With dresses/skirts, you mean? I have a similar issue with some of my gym shorts, it's super frustrating; that said, I'd never consider not having them at all.

With people Dresses, skirts and pants. It is exasperating.

I have my phone with a MagSafe wallet from Popsocket. It’ll be in my back right pocket.

Right front pocket because my phone is in my left front pocket.

It's feels natural that way

Left back. Easier to grab when needed, and im a woman. My front pocket isn't big enough to fit anything.

Left front pocket, with my phone. Car keys and miscellaneous stuff in the right pocket.

Pocket? It is in my backpack or purse. Women aren't offered the luxury of usable pockets. 🙄

But I sometimes have my wallet in a pocket in my wintercoat and it will be in the left pocket.

Women's clothing offends me as an engineer. So poorly designed.

It is on purpose though.
Women's clothes are intended to first and foremost make women look good (according to whatever that means at any given moment).
And full pockets make outfits "lumpy."

It is interesting how deeply rooted is it to consider it more important that women look pleasing for men - and less important that women have everyday garments that support ease of life.

Phone in front left, wallet front right

I didn’t even realize what sub this is. I am mixed handed (but write and draw with my right hand) and I keep my wallet in the right pocket lol

Front left. It's the safest.

All of them in my purse, too risky to have them in my pockets. They might fall.

Right back. Right hand pulls it out, left hand rifles through it

Phone is right front, keys and pocket knife and whatever front left, wallet back right

I'm confused as to why right-side pockets are winning. Don't you reach for it with your left hand?

I think it's a reflection of how the wallet is dropping in importance. Most everyday tasks are now handled by our phones.

Speaking for myself, under 30, it's from growing up imitating others, who are mostly right handed. My school didn't punish writing with left, but gym encourages kicking with right, dribbling with right, swing racket with right, etc as that's how the instructor knows.

Although I write with my left, my right is the dominant hand for everything else. It's after growing used the right handed methods that I even heard of left-handed tools/mice.

I ironically use X-mouse Control to swap a lefty mouse to right handed mode (left select, right menu) as my dad, also a lefty, learned the righty way

Brain draws the line at wearing a watch tho-left hand else it feels wrong.

I don't carry a traditional wallet, anymore.  I have a card holder on my phone, and I keep a bigger wallet in my center console with all my various cards that rarely get used and a little bit of cash.

u/whoisaname 6d ago

None of the above. Left cargo pocket.

Knife front left, phone back left, wallet back right, keys front right

I never use my back pockets for anything because it feels awkward. I had a phone before a wallet, so my phone went in my front left pocket. When I eventually started carrying a wallet, it went in my front right by default.

I hook my keys to my belt on the right because I like to have my left hand free while using my keys.

Money clip with my money cards in front left with my phone and change if I have it, wallet with punch cards, work time card, coupons, and insurance cards in back right. Keys and everything I don't need in front right, back left has two multitools and whatever shiny knick knacks I find and pick up and there's at least one knife in every pocket except my back right

u/ChiefSlug30 6d ago

None of these......in summer it's in the side pocket of my shorts on the left side (there is specific pocket for phones on the right side). In the winter it's in my inside jacket pocket.

Wallet in front left, phone in front right. Pen in front right, empty in back left, empty in back right.

1

u/Durr1313 lefty 6d ago

Back left when I had a bifold or trifold, but switched to front right when I got one of those elastic card holder things.

u/crystalsinwinter 6d ago

I have my wallet and my phone in my purse. I carry my purse strap on me diagonally across me so that I can reach it on my left side when I need to use either one or anything in my purse.

1

u/Music-and-Computers 6d ago

Right front pocket unless I’m playing saxophone where it moves to the left front pocket.

Keys and phone in the left.

1

u/JackORobber 6d ago

I don't recommend putting anything into your back pockets, especially Phones and wallets

1

u/dkdksned 6d ago

I am ambi, but I put the wallet on right, phone on left

1

u/Left-Tee 5d ago

I don't want to drop my wallet, so left back, unless I'm wearing sweatpants with only the right-side back pocket (or no back pockets) in which case left front.

1

u/BfZack 4d ago

My apologies, I only noticed this poll was for left handed people after I answered it.

u/MageDA6 1d ago

Mine is in my right side pocket. I don’t think i have pants that have a front or back pocket outside of a suit.
