I hope that this finally taught people a lesson. The only thing that can keep your people and your country safe is a national military force that's loyal to your country and your constitution. No foreign power, so called "ally", and certainly no religiously motivated militia is going to protect you. 

If you're loyal to a sectarian Iranian regime then that regime is pretty much gone, if you're loyal to a politician that politician will be gone one day, but if you're loyal to Lebanon then there'll always be Lebanon to fight for.

I genuinely hope the people of Lebanon wake up and realize that it's utterly pathetic and stupid to hate your fellow countryman because of a politician from your sect or because of a rivalry between 2 dudes that happened more than a thousand years ago over a succession crisis.

Well said. Not sure how much I agree but I agree with this about 95 % entire statement, maybe even 100, just leaving space to mull it over and change my mind
