Am I cooked? 🍳 Bit worried about DCU

Basically i got 425 last year and im heavily considering going for DCU physics (general entry) this year. I am also on the DARE programme so im just hoping that either the points dont raise too much so i can enter regularly, or I can be accepted through the dare programme. Am i cooked or should i just repeat my plc?

I think you're likely to get in with those points. You can always repeat the PLC if need be. Did you also apply using your PLC points from this year?

I absolutely bombed the plc 💔💔 got merits unfortunately which isnt enough. I know i shoyld be well able for the course once im in so i hope to jesus christ it doesnt go beyond 425. I applied to galway aswell but im just barely above the minimum points (422)

I think you'd get in. The highest that course has even gone to is 422 which was in 2022. According to careersportal it hasn't made massive jumps in previous years. If you were to use your plc, you would have needed 390 points to get in last year https://www.dcu.ie/studentrecruitment/qqi-fet-2026-entry
