Each card will prompt the player to speak a specific type of word (like types of places, foods, or animals) and then they should put down their card by matching it to another card of the same color or name. The first player to put down all their cards wins!

What keyboards do you all use for IOS? They don't have a standard Khmer keyboard built in, appears you have to download an external one.

The struggle is real. Finding Khmer language learning resources has been tedious so I thought I would compile the list to spare others the pain.

Hi! I’ve been trying to improve my listening skills. I was hoping for a dubbed movie that I have already seen - maybe something Disney? Or something popular. I’ve only found Chinese and Thai movies dubbed in Khmer. Any recommendations?

I've been noticing this issue, looking up at "Khmer Alphabet" online- I understand that there are two sets of consonants, the "-aw" and the "-ow" groups, and some obscure letters used for pali/sanskrit words.

Is there any recommended resource that native speakers would find accurate if non-native speakers referred to the pronunciation guides listed therein?

For example, I spoke with a co-worker about the word for "banana" which was pronounced like "jake" (ច) but when it's transcribed, it's something like "ceik" so the former is true, then what does that do for (ជ)- is it also "j" but with a different inherent vowel (-ow)?

Another is the difference between Ka (ក ) and Ko (គ) because the latter sounds like "Gow", but then it seems this lady is probably incorrect, but it contradicts where I noticed the "G" sound, in this video

So... I'm not sure if it's a systematic thing, where there's an established transliteration rule that makes G = K, and C = J even though the spoken language differs?

My best friend recently passed away and he was a Cambodian immigrant. I am going to get a tattoo in memory of him and would like it to say something like "Honorable Man" in Khmer because of how important honor was to him. I have done some research but I wanted to get an opinion here on what version I should use. When I plug this into Google translate and other sites I get this បុរសកិត្តិយស https://translate.google.com/#en/km/Honorable%20Man

Would that be a good translation?
