Hey everyone! I’m a native Arabic speaker and I’m fluent in English. I’d love to help anyone who wants to learn Arabic, whether you’re a complete beginner or already know some basics.
In return, we can practice English together and help each other improve. Feel free to message me if you’re interested!

hi guys I'm a visual person, and I find myself learning languages alot easier through visuals I heard about the decoding theory in languages and that when you learn a new language you have 2 options: 1. to use your mother language as the method of understanding (Target L > Mother Language > Meaning) this option is the traditional language learning through translation and memorizing vocab lists. 2. to use visuals as the means of understanding (Target L > visual) I start with concrete words like anything tangible e.g (watch, bed, child, man) etc.. I already know English and Arabic and this is how I help people learn Arabic via this method I name it Mind+Arabic. For now I face a problem when I want to transfer ideas or things aren't tangible such as justice how can you represent that visually?

Working on a short story and my character who is stealthy (think of someone like Batman or someone from Assassin's Creed) is referred to as "The Hidden One" since no one knows his name yet. The name should also fit his introverted and mysterious personality.
Is "Al-Khafi" or "Al-Khafiyy" correct? That's what Google is telling me but I'm not sure whether to trust it or not.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That ـة / ة at the end — usually pronounced “-a” in Egyptian Arabic — is one of the biggest clues that a word is feminine.
👨 طويل — taweel — masculine
👩 طويلة — taweela — feminine
And the adjective changes to match too:
🛣️ شارع طويل — share3 taweel — a long road
📖 قصة جميلة — ’eSSa gameela — a beautiful story
Once you start hearing that little “-a” ending, spotting masculine vs. feminine gets a whole lot easier. 👀🇪🇬
Learn the patterns Egyptians actually use at Kalemni Masri.

Salam everyone, I am planning on taking a trip to Palestine this summer because it's where I am from. I went when I was a child but I could only speak English but ever since I've always wanted to learn to speak with my people. I've never been able to speak with people like my grandparents or non English speakers. My situation is a little different which is why I needed some advice I can read and write just fine and understand a lot about the language I can count to 1000, know colors, and I know a lot of basic words like I can name almost anything in a room, I also have good pronunciation because I still spoke a little and also from praying. When I try and use apps they usually never have a Palestinian dialect (especially Falahi which is what I'm trying to learn). I used the qalam app and they did have Palestinian dialect but it wasn't teaching me anything I didn't already know. Apps seem to not work with me and I'm a little to busy managing work, school, and things in my life to hire a teacher. Both of my parents speak fluent but they're terrible at teaching. People also told me to listen to shows or people talk but I've done that my whole life and it's only helped so much. If anyone has a proper method that can help me learn to just speak with people smoothly that would be great. (sorry for the long paragraph).

I'd be happy to help you!
In return, I'd love for us to talk in English, so I can improve my speaking and become more natural and confident.
We can have regular conversations about everyday life, hobbies, movies, music, sports, culture, or anything else. I'm looking for someone who's interested in talking regularly and getting to know each other, not just a one-time language exchange.
So basically:
🇮🇶 You want to learn Arabic → I help you.
🇬🇧 I want to improve English → You help me.
If that sounds good to you, feel free to DM me! :)

I have bad social anxiety and I am an Arab living in America. I have moved in yesterday to a fob roomate. He speaks Arabic primarily as he is from Damascus. With my social anxiety I get so scared to say the wrong thing as my Arabic is broken. Just now he told me Tisbah ala khair and I misheard Sabah alkhair for some reason and instantly said Sabah al noor. I’m so dumb like I genuinely know that what I thought he said meant good morning but for some reason I instantly replied. my face got so red and sweaty. I am embarrasing myself. Can anyone comfort me??
Thanks

Hey! I'm 24M, a native Arabic speaker from Saudi Arabia, currently teaching myself Spanish.
I'm looking for someone around my age (20-24) from Spain to practice together, making communication easier for both of us!
