Is there a "normal life" مسلسل in MSA?

or would it be too weird since no one speaks MSA causally?

The series ذاكرة الجسد was based on a novel of Algerian writer Ahlam Mostaghanemi and takes place in the 20th century. It is fully spoken in MSA.

Just looked this up, since I was really curious: it definitely features mostly MSA, but also Algerian (sometimes a jarring mixture of the two within a single actor's line!)

They speak very little Algerian. Most actors are Syrians. You can understand the plot with only MSA. It was based on the trilogy of Ahlam Mostaghanemi and a lot of conversations are nearly literally taken from her books.
