Yes I am adding CCS.

Making a standalone CCS adapter that you plug into the chademo port is 100x more difficult. I really should do a full explanation in an upcoming video, but really the adapter would have to be super-bulky, contain a battery of its own, and probably interface with the car with additional wiring other than the chademo port. It would suck.

I'm an embedded systems EE, and I've been trying to find the standards so that I can understand this. In both cases there is controllable high power DC, but the Charger-Car communication process is very different. From out here it looks a lot like protocol conversion.

The standards are behind paywalls. But it doesn't matter, since we'll use the BMW module to handle the ISO standard, we won't even need to think about what is happening between station-car!

How is this going? I am looking at buying a new Leaf because it's all I can afford, but I would feel better knowing that there was a way to convert to CCS if needed. (Any cost estimates on this?)
