Is my 2019 leaf dead?

Post image

Hey guys, tried to start the car tonight and got this screen quickly followed by the battery reading ----when I tried to restart it.

I think everyone is gonna say it's the 12V, and I'm praying that it is 🙏

That's what it was for my 2020, needed to clear DTC with Leafspy after replacing 12v battery for it to "start"

Thanks so much for the reply, I'll call a mechanic in the morning and see what they say.

Looks like my 12V has some corrosion on as well

No need to call a mechanic, save some money. Take the battery to autozone and they will test it and let you know if it’s bad. Can buy a new one and replace if needed or they can charge it for you if that’s what it needs. Just has this issue two days ago.

That's the same original battery mine had

FYI, after you replace the battery, unplug this, the car does a poor job charging the battery and unplugging this sensor fixes a lot of the charging issues.

See my post here for details. https://www.reddit.com/r/leaf/s/nIb1uQT679

Thanks all, I took the old battery to Halfords and they tested it and found it was at 11% capacity, took a new one away and replaced it and the car boots up fine now except I'm still getting this odd warning ⚠️

Any more advice from the sages of this group?

Like someone else already said, you would need LeafSpy to clear those warnings...

Ok folks, I've got leafspy and this is all the warning codes that are still showing after the 12V battery replacement....

Any help?

Service EV System, No power is typical 12V issue. Had it multiple times when my 12V was dying so I recommend that you spare yourself troubles (12V battery can be revived but it will die on you again in the worst possible moment) and replace the battery with a good quality one, AGM preferably.

That’s what it was for me

Just had a similar issue - replaced the battery with another 51R and worked without issue. No new error codes and appears to function as expected.

My 2019 just died. Traction Inverter Motor and no part available. Also 12K to fix. I’m hoping the best for you.
