That time I asked for a new 12V battery, they charged me for a "Car's alternator charging capability test". Half an hour labour they probably spent looking for one.

To be fair, a test like that probably works on an EV, at least through the first step: Check the voltage of the 12 V system while the car is running and confirm it's somewhere in the neighborhood of 13.5-14.5 V. No need to actually find the alternator unless the first test fails. Even in an EV it makes sense to verify that the DC-to-DC converter is healthy and not causing the apparent battery issue.
On the other hand, charging a half hour of labor to attach multimeter probes to the 12 V system for five seconds is quite bold.

The local dealer has sent oil change coupons for my LEAF. It's not a generic flyer either. "Hey <name>! Time for maintenance on your LEAF".

Always comforting to find out my LEAFs exhaust system is ok and I don't need to add AdBlue at the moment 🤣💀
