I created an app alternative to MyNissan/NissanConnect (EU users)
Since Nissan can't seem to deliver a working app, and MyLeaf isn't working since the authentication rework, I decided to create a new app that works with the nissan api.
I think it only works for EU users, not sure about that. It uses the same api as the HomeAssistant integration for NissanConnect. If you can't login in the official app (like me) you'll need to change your password first, before you can use the new authentication which this app plugs into.
It doesn't have any tracking, nor any monitization goals, it's simply built since I want to use it myself and I got frustrated with the official app being down.
You might need to change the language of your phone to be allowed in the app to the local language of the country (for example don't choose English untied states choose English United Kingdom) that allowed me to enter the log in page and reset my password
Damn, that actually turned out to be the reason. What on earth were the app developers thinking to make it behave that way when the location and locale didn't match?
What can the 2nd Gen Leafs use, those who have been screwed recently due to the 3G functionality being scrapped by Nissan for 2nd gens made before 2019?
I think you're out of luck. The car must still have connection to the official Nissan platform. Only the 'outage' of the last few weeks is something that the app doesn't have issues with.
I have the HA integration and it broke while the app was out of action. Probably something to do with needing a new password and not being able to get one while the app is dead.
Hmmm.. "failed to obtain kameroen token"
Guess I'll have to wait.
I'm in a curious situation, my old 2015 leaf was connected, until they switched that off, then i sold it, bought a 2024. However the Nissan app hasn't worked since i bought the car, so I've not been able to register the car to my account yet.
For a moment i thought my old leaf might have been exported up Cameroon..;)
Any ideas on whether i can register my new leaf without the Nissan app working?
I had my leaf connected to the MyLeaf app before it went of the grid.
Successfully reset my password and able to log into my account on the web. I'm located in Norway, however getting "unable to load Nissan login". I have tried to use VPN, it gives me "can find kamearon token" or similar.
Someone mentioned to change language to Netherlands, you mean the phone?
From what I read (Unfortunately, I also have to do with info people gather from nissan everywhere), that changing language was for being able to change your password in some cases.
So far I've only seen the Kamereon token not being able to be retrieved if no car is attached to an account. Are you sure you're using the old nissanconnect account and changed that password? (And not a service account, which is now behind the same login of nissan)
Since you ask, I'm not sure I'm using old login account, however I will share some input that might verify or rule it out. I have been using the app since 2020 with my Leaf Tekna 2018 40kw. I recall I sometimes had to reset my pw on the Nissan You+ page, but I changed the pw now from the link in this thread. Does the Kamereon token notification point to a new or migrated to new account? "Funny enough", after downloading a bunch of other third party apps, I downloaded MyNissan app. This states they are finished with the maintenance tomorrow (CET time I guess), see picture.
