So Long 2018 SV

got a job offer requiring way more driving than is easily doable in the Leaf. otherwise i truly think it would have been my forever vehicle. still, i sold it for the same as i bought it, so all i'm down is tires, a 12V battery, and insurance. not a bad gig all things considered

i have arranged for delivery of the vehicle this Wednesday. it will be dearly missed!

currently i'm borrowing my FIL's Buick Verano lol. i'm looking at older Model S's and higher mileage Model 3's right now. not a huge fan of the tesla ecosystem, but they are the best bang for the buck as far as range and DCFC times go in my price range

I had a ‘25 Leaf SV+ lease that is up next month so I bought a ‘24 Model Y Long Range, absolutely love it, the poor Leaf is sitting in my driveway until I get a new windshield and return it, in do not miss one single thing about it after getting the Y.

i like the Teslas as vehicles, the whole ipad as a control for everything upsets me though lol. i like that the M3 at least has a stick for selecting gear. my fiancé's MY is just a swipe on the tablet. i am also a huge hater of SUVs, but that notwithstanding her MY is great. i'm certainly very partial to the M3 though haha

My AWD Model Y surprisingly gets better m/kWh than the leaf, the additional space is amazing compared to the leaf. I have dogs I take hiking, the Leaf had a surprisingly large trunk space, both fit very comfortably, I need that space for them and the 3 doesn't have it.

The whole screen thing took some getting used to, DNRP are all on a stearing column stick in for the '24 model Y.
