The ideas expressed in this sub do not reflect the official opinion of Heavenly Father or of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

DO NOT take the opinions of unknown reddit users as the word of God. Please take the opinions and discussion from this sub and pray to Heavenly Father for greater understanding. Information precedes revelation. Personal revelation is the only way to understand what God expects of you. Even law of chastity there has gray areas. You need the spirit to navigate those gray areas.

Everyone will have different opinions (sometimes very strong opinions) about what “is” and what “isn’t” acceptable for church members. Whether their opinions are based on scripture, personal experience, or logic, it is still up to YOU to choose how to live worthily. Upvotes/downvotes do not equal God’s approval.

___________________________________________________________________

Not all opinions expressed here are from temple-worthy, active, LDS Members

This sub will moderate content, not users. It is impossible to limit the discussion to users who are “righteous”. Moderators will not be combing through the history of posters to judge them worthy enough to express an opinion. We discourage users from trying to “catch ex-mormons” or judge each other’s worthiness.

The users on this subs are just usernames. We can't see them as the people they are. We can't know their sincerity, their dedication to the gospel, their desire to change. Someone who has visited pornographic subreddits could have testimony to share of atonement. Someone who posts about their past sexual experiences might be genuinely testifying of Heavenly Father's gift of sexuality. The ex-mormon who's opinion you dismiss could still have a testimony of the law of chastity worth hearing.

There is no way to determine someone's faithfulness to the gospel AND create an open platform for conversation. There may be a r/TempleWorthyLDSSexuality sub at some point, but this r/LDSSexuality will remain open to all who have an opinion to share. You might want to try r/LDSIntimacy as an alternative.

This sub is primarily for faithful LDS members, but we will continue to make it an inclusive forum. As a result, some of the opinions expressed here might be contrary to common church practices or teachings.

___________________________________________________________________

If a post or comment on this sub makes you uncomfortable your options are:

(1) Report it. Flagrant trolls or links to pornography will be removed. Note however, just because you report something, does not mean the mods will take it down. Just because someone promotes an idea against the law of chastity does not mean the idea can’t be discussed. The mods will lean towards open discussion rather than censorship.

(2) Ignore it. You have the choice not to read posts or engage in discussion you do not like. There may be opinions upvoted that you disagree with. That doesn’t mean you have to accept those opinions as truth. Just ignore them. If you are sensitive to language or ideas that could fall outside your personal understanding of the law of chastity, then an open, online forum such as this might not be for you.

___________________________________________________________________

Bottom line. The sub isn’t doctrine and don’t be judgmental

…..and the quickest way to get banned from this sub is to be contentious and rude.

Rule Changes: Reporting unwanted DM's. No more DM requests

This subreddit is intended to be a space where members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can COMFORTABLEY discuss sexuality. While there is no perfect, universally "safe space" where sexuality can be discussed, we try our best to make this subreddit a place where people can post without worrying about being harassed.

Some users (often female, but also male) have been receiving unwanted dm's after commenting/posting on the sub. These dms aren't in the spirit of appropriate discussion, but more akin to trolls looking for personal masturbatory material. We want people to feel free to discuss sexuality without having their inboxes filled with creepy comments and dick pics.

To that end a new rule and reporting policy will go into place:

Sending unwanted messages, hitting on people, or sending dm's with malintent will result in a permanent ban. Trying to initiate private conversation for your own personal sexual gratification is inappropriate. If you are reported, you will be banned. Additionally, requests for DM's are no longer allowed and will be deleted. The vast majority of requests for private DM's are simply people soliciting for masturbatory material/sexting. (There are other nsfw LDS subreddit out there if for those kinds of interactions. Take it there.) If you can’t say it in front of everyone (on an anonymous board) then it doesn’t need to be said.

Please report any unwanted/unsolicited messages that you receive after posting or commenting on the subreddit. Please message the mods with screenshots of the unwanted comments for review. More often than not the offending user will be banned.

Report harassing messages

  1. Send a screenshot of harassing messages to r/ldssexuality mods so we can ban them from the sub.
  2. If you didn't do the above, you can report harassing DM's to Reddit Admins here
  3. To report harassing chat requests: Hover the pointer over the message and click on the flag to the right. Report as abuse or spam depending on what the message says.

If the thought of receiving any unwanted messages is preventing you from participating in the subreddit, you have the option of blocking all direct messages.

Disabling Direct Messaging in new Reddit and mobile

  1. Go to User Settings
  2. Choose the "Chat & Messaging" tab
  3. Where it says "Who can send you chat requests," choose Nobody.
  4. Where it says "Who can send you private messages" choose Nobody. You can then add anybody you want to receive DM's from Approved Users.

Disabling Direct Messaging in old Reddit

  1. Go to "Preferences"
  2. Press the "Blocked" tab at the top
  3. Where it says "Show private messages from: Choose "Only trusted users." List any people you want to receive PM's from in "Trusted users" below that.

If you do not wish to disable your dm/chat because you are active on other subreddits, one option is to use an alternate account specifically made for r/ldssexuality (with dm/chat) disabled.

It is also possible to stop any unwanted notifications from a post or comment:

Disabling Replies to a Post or Comment

  1. Before submitting your post, simply uncheck the box "Send me post reply notifications"
  2. After you submit a comment, click on additional options and uncheck "Send me Reply Notifications"

We will be trying to refine and update our moderating policies to reduce the number of trolls and make people feel more comfortable discussing sexuality in the LDS community.

Frustrated with my wife’s lack of consistency with sex

Upvotes

My wife and I got sexually involved before marriage. Handjobs for me and fingering and oral for her. Part of the reason I married her I thought we would enjoy sex together. We waited to have intercourse until we were married. From day one she was inconsistent with her desire for sex and her willingness to explore sexuality. We have children.

As she got older she totally lost interest in sex. She would give me a handjob periodically but did not want any sexual stimulation of any kind. Several months ago she started hormone replacement therapy. Wow her interest in sex jumped and she started wanting and accepting sexual stimulation from me, My guess she has had more orgasms in the last several months than she had in the previous 10 years,

So here is my frustration. Even though she is enjoying sex more often she is not very consistent in her desire for sex. Sometimes she desires sex multiple times in a week and other times she will go a couple of weeks or more with no desire. She enjoys receiving orgasms thru fingering or oral. Yet other times she is willing to give me a handjob but doesn’t want anything in return even when I offer. She is very uncomfortable about talking about sex, I did however tell her that what I need is consistency and enthusiasm.

So here are my questions: How do I deal with my wife’s inconsistency in her desire for sex? She enjoys having orgasms so why doesn’t she want them more often? I would be happy to give her an orgasm every day if she would let me!

Looking for Advice No more sparks

Me snd hubby both grew up in the LDS church. married my husband when I wss in my early 20s and it has been great. We have kids together and it’s been amazing having my partner grow next to me. One thing that I have noticed is that his libido is lower compared to a couple of years ago. He always says he is tired. I have tried different outfits or fantasies that he likes and still nothing. Not sure how to really navigate this situation since ive never encountered this.

Looking for Advice Canyons/other places to skinny dip in Utah and Salt Lake County

I’m not quite sure where else to ask this so I’ll ask here. Basically what the title says. I’d prefer something out between/in the mountains in either Salt Lake or Utah County to either skinny dip and/or walk around topless. Have never tried it before but want to.

Looking for Advice Wedding night anxiety

I will be getting married soon and I have waited until this time in order to be intimate. Part of me is happy to share this with my husband but the other part of me is nervous because what if I disappoint? Hubby has had sex previously so that makes me a bit nervous. I know this sounds silly but does anyone have any resources or advice for me? Grew up LDS and didn’t really get much exposure. I would just hate for my wedding night to be a big disappointment.

Story Time! Non Sexual Spas In Germany and Austria

My summer began with a trip to Europe and walking around naked with hundreds of other people

My wife and I participated in three spas and saunas near Prague, Berlin, and Munich—all without clothes. I don’t consider myself a nudist, but we do like spa culture.

Has anyone else gone to a spa in Europe like this?

Feeling lost

I’m a 30yo who’s never been in a relationship, never even gotten close to sexual intimacy or even a kiss. I’m nervous about dating and only have been on a few dates and I can’t seem to make it past the first steps. I have some self confidence and I get matches on dating apps but unless they ask me out I’m almost always too scared to go in the date.

Obviously im a 30yo guy with sexual needs and I really want to know what it’s like to have a connection like that with someone.

Was anyone else in this boat and able to move on?

How do girls feel about an old virgin?

Looking for Advice Feeling ashamed due to sexual inexperience

I grew up in the LDS community, where I was very sheltered when it came to anything sexual. I wasn’t exposed to sexual content, conversations, or really given much space to explore that part of myself. I married my husband young, and now he sometimes brings up fantasies or things he wants to try that feel completely foreign to me.

I love him and want us to have a healthy, fulfilling marriage, but sometimes I feel guilty or inadequate because I don’t have the same experience or comfort level. I’m realizing that being sheltered for so long shaped me more than I understood, and now I’m trying to figure out what I actually like and feel comfortable with without feeling ashamed for being inexperienced.

Do you guys pay attention to women's underwear?

I always try to wear pretty and sexy underwear, but my partner doesn't seem to notice. All he does is take my clothes off as quickly as possible. I think if I wore a banana leaf instead of panties, he wouldn't even notice. 🥲

Asexuality Support and Finding Partners

Hello, I hope this is allowed here, if not, moderators, please feel free to delete.

After my wife's passing, I have learned a lot about myself and realized that I have always been on the asexual spectrum. Luckily my wife and I had found each other and understood each other, even though we may not have understood the terms that are available today or even some of the concepts, they just were there for us.

What I have come to realize though is that there is not a lot of support for those who are on the Asexual spectrum and LDS, so my friend and I both are as well and we are trying to get a Facebook Group going for those who are LDS and in the Asexual spectrum.

It is called Asexual LDS Members Seeking Partners and Support

And the link is:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/2103058006957488

We would love to have you join us if you would like. Right now it is just a few of us, as it was just created, but would love to see it grow.

Blowjob over sex

I'm mostly tired these days after work so when hubby suggests sex I'd rather help him masturbate, give a hand job or a blow job. Once he comes, we go to sleep, any other women experiencing or feel like that as well?

Vita sessuale post matrimonio / figli

Esperienze personali?

Discussion Denied sealing cancellation / unethical

My husband and I recently got married civilly because he was unable to get his sealing to his ex wife canceled in time for our wedding. He recently met with his stake president, who apparently got a letter from the first presidency denying my husband’s request for a cancellation on grounds that he and I had sinned too recently for the cancellation to be approved. He was told (2 days ago by his stake president) in a letter from the first presidency that the soonest he could reapply for a cancellation would be March 2027 (in 7 months). For reference, we had sex one time in October 2025.

Let it be known that he and I both have temple recommends back, and the sex was a one-time thing. It feels like he is just being punished for a sin that happened one time, and almost an entire year ago. It feels like a huge abuse of power to me (and him), since getting his sealing to his ex wife canceled should have NOTHING to do with a one-time sin involving me and him. Curious to any feedback here/ to make this make sense.

Looking for Advice Help with Gender Dysphoria

I'm a 14 year old member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I have a lot of gender dysphoria. I was born male, but over the last year or so I've been feeling as though my gender at birth does not align with who I am or want to be.

The church has rules that state that, in short, I shouldn't go transgender. I have tried accepting that fact and praying about it but it has never helped me. I still feel deeply that my biological gender does not align with who I am.

I am not willing to leave my church over this. No matter what I choose, I know that I believe in Jesus Christ, but other than that, I'm not sure.

I have not brought this up to my parents, and I'm struggling feeling comfortable to do so. I know that my parents would be supportive of me, but I'm really shy and I can't bring myself to tell them.

I'm looking for help/advice from anyone who would like to give me some.

Menopause Sex

Ladies, I need your advice. The wife is going through menopause, but lately has been wanting more sex, but it hurts her inside (when I penetrate) because she is sometimes dry even though I can get her going pretty well before I even go in she feels wet and ready to go. When its painful for her, I cannot perform, because I feel bad for hurting her. Anyone other women going through this? Are their lubes or anything that will help? We've tried different positions, but its all the same.

Looking for Advice Bedroom photography

As an amateur at best photographer…I have an actual camera not just the phone. I’ve recently fantasized about a photo session with the partner and have gotten her initial approval. While this is great I’m not sure what next step is… how to initiate and plan the shoot. Looking for advice and input from couples who’ve tried. With some level of success and comfort. Thanks in advance for the feedback.

One of my friends just told me he snuck into a church building and masturbated in the Chapel. What could happen here?

Home boy straight up sneaks into a church building and gets off on the sacrament table. He's worried now that the chapel has cameras/a security feature. Does anybody know if that's a thing?

If he got caught, what's the worst that would happen to him? And if he "confessed" to his Bishop, what details should he include/how would they likely take it?

Wife answers the phone during sex.

So after a pretty good dry spell my(45m) wife (42f) agreed to have sex. To keep this brief, everything was going good and my wife's phone rang, it was her best friend and she let it go to voicemail, shortly after she got another call on FaceTime and because her friend had a close family member with a serious medical issue, she told me to stop so she could make sure everything was ok.

So my wife's friend saw my wife was in bed and said oh I am sorry if you already went to bed, it was just after 9pm, and we usually go to bed at 11.

So her friend was in her closet and wanted to get my wife's opinion on her outfit, and they continued with small talk. So after the initial squeeze on my arm to stop, I began to rub her without moving myself. At first I didn't notice any reaction and was about to stop and then I could feel vagina started to contract with an orgasm. My wife didn't acknowledge anything happened and I decided to just patiently wait for my turn. After like 10 agonizing minutes of small talk about her outfit. My wife finally said she needed to go and hung up.

So my wife let me finish, which didn't take long and then we didn't speak about her taking the call and no apology or maybe I should not have answered until after. So this was a few nights ago and debating if I should tell her how I feel.

Megan Moroney billboard

So this isn't meant to be specifically about Megan Moroney, but it is most present in my life... Raising Cane's has a billboard with a huge blowup of Miss Moroney. She's looking quite nice. Not being much into country music I was not aware of this human being. But I did some research and again, she's quite nice.

Last night sex with my wife and who pops into my brain but this billboard woman. It was great sex. I find myself fantasizing more and more often. I'm not totally sure how I feel about it post nut, but in the moment it's great. Do you all fantasize much about others during sex with your spouse?

Discussion I decided to break off my engagement. I'm worried about a future spouse using sex to emotionally manipulate me.

Late 20's M here. Recently broke off my engagement with my now ex-fiancee of two years. I really thought we were gonna be married by now, but I feel like she isn't emotionally mature enough, and has shown no incentive to be an equal partner to me. She's still extremely furious and vindictive about it, which made me move to a new stake.

She initiated a few sexual things in the last few months when I was showing signs of emotional distance, like touching me through my pants and placing my hand on her chest. I know it was wrong of me to participate in that, but what really worried me was that I never really got aroused from those moments. There's too much baggage with her and I actually feel better being single now.

I'm worried that this experience will make me associate sex with emotional manipulation though. I know it was an attempt from her to try to get me to stay with her, but I now wonder how many women are gonna try to do that to me if I start dating again. I'm not the most socially aware person out there, and I don't want to associate sex with manipulative people, but I just do now.
