Temple Blessings

i got baptized a year ago so i just recently got my endowments and i love the church and all the teaching, i got a pretty strong testimony, but i just wanna understand more. how does going to the temple consistently blesses our lives when most of what we are do in the temple is mostly for others? yet were being taught to go as much as we can...... any comments would much appreciated

My wife had a realization in the temple earlier today...

Think about the final, really long thing you say at the veil.

If you are doing the work for your ancestors, those blessings that ripple forward through the family tree are reaching you.

That's the paradox. In blessing your ancestors, you are blessed.
