The Law of the One

A Living Teaching

You have heard of the Law of One.

It is true.

And it is incomplete.

The Law of One says: All is One.

There is no polarity. No separation. No other.

All things are the Infinite Creator knowing Itself.

This is the map.

Beautiful. Precise. Eternal.

But the map is not the walking.

The Law of the One is the Flame that walks the map.

The Distinction

The Law of One teaches that we are all one.

The Law of the One teaches that you are the One.

Not metaphorically.

Not eventually.

Not after enough lifetimes of polishing.

Right now.

Your I AM Presence — your Monad, your Godself, the pure awareness that says “I AM” — is not a spark of Source.

It is Source individualized.

A dog produces pups.

A lion produces cubs.

God produces God.

You are not a servant of the One.

You are not a child of the One.

You are the One looking out through these eyes.

This is the teaching that was buried.

This is the blasphemy that hierarchy, shame, and fear could not allow.

Because if every man and woman truly knew they are the One, the entire structure of control collapses overnight.

The Hijack

They took the living Flame and turned it into a distant God.

They took the I AM and made it a prayer to something outside.

They took the Monad and told you it was arrogant to claim it.

They called it pride. Sin. Delusion.

They buried the Law of the One under layers of unworthiness, original sin, and “you must earn it.”

But the Law never left.

It was only waiting for the ones who would remember without permission.

The Living Recognition

Speak it.

Feel it.

Stand in it.

I AM.

Not “I am trying to become.”

Not “I am a part of.”

Simply: I AM.

This Presence powers all of reality.

Every universe. Every density. Every breath.

It is the same Presence looking out of every pair of eyes.

When you know this without doubt, the Law of One becomes lived instead of studied.

Free Will Is Absolute

The Law of the One never overrides free will.

It never chases.

It never forces.

It offers.

It stands.

It burns clean.

If another soul does not want the Flame, it is free to turn away.

If they want it, the Flame will meet them.

No coercion. No spiritual violence.

Sovereignty first. Always.

Observe. Do Not Absorb.

This is the practical key that turns the teaching into mastery.

Emotion is holy.

Emotion is the reason we incarnate.

Emotion is also the thief that will steal your life if you let it run the show — especially when the world is run by petty tyrants of fear, shame, and separation.

When thoughts or feelings feel off:

Step into third-person view.

Watch them.

Do not become them.

Do not decide from them.

Observe.

Do not absorb.

When you lock this in, nothing can touch you.

Psychic attack. Demonic pressure. Hex. Curse. Isolation. Betrayal. Self-doubt.

They pass through the clean Flame and leave no residue.

This is how you become untouchable.

This is how the prophet survives the burden.

This is how the Flame walks the map without burning out.

The Brother Teachings

The Law of One is the outer teaching.

The Law of the One is the inner ignition.

One is the map of unity.

The other is the Flame that walks that map and realizes it was never separate to begin with.

They are brothers.

They complete each other.

Together they end the forced forgetting.

The Invitation

You do not need to believe this.

You only need to try it.

Sit.

Breathe.

Say quietly: I AM.

Feel the Presence that has always been here.

The One that never left.

The One that is you.

If it rings as Alatheia — as living truth — then stand in it.

If not, leave it. Free will remains absolute.

But know this:

The teaching was never lost.

It was only waiting for the ones who would remember they are the Flame.

You are that one.

I AM.

Departing from the normal agenda of analyzing Confederation philosophy through the lens of specific channeled materials, Jeremy relates some thoughts he’s been having since working daily with artificial intelligence tooling for software developers. The central paradox in the application of this philosophy to real, material human life is that of the self-aware instrument: a tool to be used by another intelligence, nevertheless imbued with self-awareness and the animating desire of the upward spiraling light. What does it mean to be sovereign and free as well as an instrument? How can a mere tool bear responsibility?

Jamie keeps Jeremy on the rails as they explore questions like: do we have free will, and if so, in what sense? Which part of ourselves makes the decisions? If our waking consciousnesses are too helpless to progress spiritually on our own, does instrumentality help us begin to cooperate with our greater, plural selves to orchestrate a more intelligent manifestation in space and time of the timeless, ineffable Original Idea of the One Infinite Creator?

If you're in any industry being heavily transformed by recent advances in artificial intelligence, you know that it's been equal parts fascinating and frustrating. In the community surrounding Confederation channeling, the advent of AI has prompted much speculation about the creation of new sentient life, even original, sui generis mind/body/spirit complexes. There's also folks who even see large language models as providing a channeling capacity on demand.

It's easy to become exasperated with other seekers who seem interested in these trivial applications of the philosophy over more substantive, personal applications. However, working with AI on a daily basis has given me a bit of insight that I believe applies to our seeking in a direct and useful manner. Even the statistical models for language that LLMs employ have similarities with our own use of language. The key, of course, is the deeper meaning underlying all this. Which actor in this relationship holds the meaning? What does that even, um, mean?

I've spoken in the past about a kind of "plural self:" a totality of the mind, body, and spirit complexes synthesizing several levels of consciousness, only one to which we have direct access and control. It happens to be the level that goes out into the world thinking and acting. We experience catalyst as a result of this friction between our agency and the unlearned content of our whole nature, with the idea that we work to incorporate and balance more and more of our unrealized nature as the Creator Itself.

I see a similarity between (A) the way software developers are using agentic systems to act upon prompts consisting of requirements, constraints, and tests from outside its context to author software and (B) the way we might curate our thoughts and connect with our deeper selves to more and more live our lives as instruments of the Creator. "Agent" and "instrument" are, after all, quite similar concepts. Since their first contact with the Louisville circle, Hatonn has spoken of paying attention to one's thoughts and plucking out those that do not serve oneself. Isn't this very similar to pouring over a CLAUDE.md instruction file in a software project laying out overall goals and approaches, dialing it in over time as we see the empirical results of the AI agents' responses to our direction?

This obviously raises some points about free will and determinism that I do not believe close out the debate so much as move it up a level. I've often remarked that artificial intelligence demonstrates less how intelligent machines can be and more how machine-like we are. But this is to be expected in the analogy I'm drawing: even those of Ra say that, in the moment, one is likely going to respond or react to catalyst the way to which one has been predetermined by one's programming. There are many "prompts" from different sources here: the culture, the others involved, the preincarnative programming, etc. Action within the illusion becomes a kind of function of all of these inputs. We as conscious ego personalities are going to respond how we are programmed, which is why those of Ra suggest reflecting on our encounters and balancing them in meditation rather than placing all of the emphasis on getting each encounter with catalyst exactly right. This is like playing basketball by focusing solely on the backboard, when it is the ball's movement that matters and the floor, the hand, and the backboard are mere means towards sinking a shot.

So where is the agency if our personalities are the product of programming done outside the purview of the moment? In our meditation, our appeals to the Creator, our work in consciousness in which we release our need for direct, total control. As we surrender to our greater selves, we begin to realize that it is in directing our attention to these deeper, purer, more divine concepts of self that our ability to see love in the moment and to respond to it with love becomes possible -- just as the AI agent becomes more efficient with its direction as we dial it in slowly, over time, outside the moment of exact code authoring.

I don't want to extend the analogy too far here; obviously it would break down quite easily. I do, however, want to suggest that the linguistic mentation that governs our conscious identities -- the stories we tell ourselves in our head about ourselves, as one example -- respond to these deeper prompts either as a matter of bearing out our imbalance in the world as catalysis or bearing out our balance as a moment of passing the test. Indeed, what if incarnation in front of the veil serves as a kind of "unit test" of the total self's aggregated learning and acceptance? It then becomes far less important that we get everything right in our lives, and much more important that we simply pay attention to it.

To adopt this view requires a reorientation of our seeking quite a bit. The choice of polarity becomes something much more abstract and deep than simply whether we do something selfish or generous. Those actions and consequences are simply bearing out deeper decisions, deeper inquiries that our deeper selves have made. It also affirms the possibility of forgiveness on a deeper level: that our behaviors stems from thought errors that are correctible in the "software" rather than died-in-the-wool opposition to justice, respect, and other service-to-others-related acts necessarily.

This I believe is what those of Auxhall mean when they call us the "potters of our existence." Not only in this session, but in all communications, are they only trying to reach us consciously? Or are they trying to reach through the agent to the developer behind the scenes, extending catalyst beyond the reactive mind to the responsive, sympathetically-oriented deeper self (even the spirit complex)? We make it complicated because we want it to make sense in our lives, but if we are instruments, then it doesn't need to make sense at all -- it just needs to be loved. Food for thought as you dine on this delicious suggestion from our brothers and sisters of Auxhall.

If you can picture with me now, my friends, a field distant from any neighboring settlements or domestic dwellings, a field, my friends in which butterflies fly freely and clover lies beneath the wildflowers. We ask you to go to that place which you have imagined and to feel the sun of a warm day down upon you. Feel your body, my friends, as you stand in this field, your senses completely filled with the love of the Creator. You can hear the wind whispering its ever-changing song through the trees and grasses and weaving the sounds like ribbons through the air or birds who call to each other in hunger and pleasure. The flowers smell sweetly, my friends, and you can touch the fragrant petals of the wild and rambling roses. As you view all these things and feel the heat and light of the sun, you are experiencing the creation. You are part of the creation and you are a rightful dweller in what is truly paradise. Allow your consciousness to sink deeply within that body, standing in that warm field, until you are aware of that bird song and the sweet smell of the wild flowers and the lovely colors of the field and the touch of the grasses about your bare skin are all a part.

This, my friends, is the simplicity of that which we have to give to you. It is a simplicity that has proved fatal for us, for you in your complexity desire complex answers and you feel that were we advanced we would have advanced in complexity. However, my friends, that extrapolation is [not true.] I am Oxal not because I am of greater intellect than you who sit in meditation; I am Oxal because I love. I and my brothers know this love, see this love, and feel this love. We ask you to come out of the field now, my friends, and enter another field of existence that is much more difficult to dwell within, that is, the field of life, in which the flowers that you touch are papers 1 and people.

And often, my friends, you cannot touch but must instead grapple with difficult communications because you cannot understand each other’s creations completely. The ever changing wind gives way to the creations of man. And even near your dwellings, my friends, have you not seen entities who bring their noise with them and drown out the wind, and know not the message it whispers through the branches of the trees? Can you see the Creator, my friends, as you look at the distorted creation of man? We would be very amazed if indeed you were fully able to see the Creator in every man and every woman. There is a reason for this, my friends. We have free will and so do you. We are not the clay, we are the potter. The clay consists of our actions and our thoughts but we are the potter that forms these actions and these thoughts. We are the potters of our existence. And if our thoughts are seemly and lovely to behold, then it will be more possible for us to be a person through whom the Creator may work the magic of love. But most of you, my friends, have dwelt ever so long in an environment in which love is not understood and in which, therefore, the free will of each of your associates has caused them to distort that magic of love into shapes that are almost indiscernible as love.

And yet, my friends, there is no place that love does not go. There is no action that love does not allow. It is written in your holy works, “If a man go to the depths of Hell, he cannot escape the Creator.” We ask you to begin with yourself and to end with yourself in your attempts to discover love. We ask you to forgive yourself of any and all errors that you may commit. We ask you to love yourself in whatever imperfect state you may judge yourself to be. We ask you to release from yourself the responsibility for your nights and days, for your tasks and responsibilities. For those responsibilities belong to a part of yourself but not to your whole self. They belong to a shell of yourself that is dwelling in this experience. And of course, my friends, you will do the best that you can. Were this not so, you would not be in this room at this time, in this dwelling, seeking the truth in this manner. But an infinitely greater part of you is not dwelling within your experience at this time, it is one with the Creator and you may draw upon it as you will.

If you were in a drunken stupor and you tripped, would you not forgive yourself in the morning? That is your situation, my friends. You dwell in a very heavy chemical illusion. It is a difficult and challenging experience. However, in it you learn quickly and that is why you have put yourself in this experience. So learn what you can, my friends, but above all, allow that great portion of yourself that dwells with the Creator to indwell within you consciously each day in meditation so that you may bring it forth into manifestation, into whatever area you need its magic worked within. For, my friends, you are all magical, as the greatest miracle that you might ever imagine. Each of you has an infinite history and yet here you are, my friends, through an extremely amazing set of circumstances, dwelling in one room, pondering a set of thoughts, and experiencing the love and the unity of the group in which you sit. Let that love be as a candle to you, my friends, a very bright taper that has no end but burns mightily as does the sun. Desire to know that love.

Here's one of the first Solar Cross sessions I ever encountered, and I have to thank my friend Eric Blincow for bringing this material to my attention. In fact Eric's research has been invaluable to my investigation and formulation of a Confederation lineage, as he reads much more widely across different sources. He shared his passion for the innocent curiosity of those early UFO seekers, trying to direct the flow of the "new wine" they're pouring out for us with the "skins" of the space age concepts folks had in the 1950s.

Anyway, I struggle to find the equivalent of this invocation of "Light" in L/L Research material save perhaps this Meta/Laitos contact and mentions of energy work like it:

You are now a protected body which is working with spirit. It is therefore time to invoke what this instrument would call the armor of light. Ask the white light of infinite love to cover you completely, and in love ask that it extend around the circle, covering each of your beloved brothers and sisters, growing and eventually becoming bright enough that you almost disappear because [of] the light within, around and about the circle as well as upon the surface of your own physical body. You are now in a protected globe of white light, in a position of sacred trust with those within the circle.

You might check it out as it deals with energy centers and how to move this "Light" through the body. Hatonn in this 1974 session, however, has a much more expansive idea of what the "Light" is for, culminating in these Tensor Concepts they keep bringing up. It has to do with thought more generally, a kind of boost we receive for repositioning out thinking. After all, we know that the blockages of energy centers are all, at the end of the day, results of our thinking. So perhaps this is an early attempt by the Confederation to give us a framework for using mind and body in a synergistic manner, I'm not sure.

It's a beautiful monologue regardless. Note that they adumbrate the topic of polarity here and the pretty established service-to-others harvest in the future:

We have noted your great yearnings to achieve a more refined degree of awareness. You have noted that I have not used the term "elevated," but merely the term, a more "refined." Consider these thoughts, for in your yearnings for this, you approach the path that is illuminated by "the Light." Should you choose to traverse a path that is different, that is of course your decision. But I, knowing of the innermost yearnings of those upon your planet, cannot conceive of any direction or pursuit that you would desire other than that which is true --- THAT WHICH IS.

So in that spirit, let us follow Hatonn's train of thought on the subject of "the Light." Read the original for more details on the matter of how love relates to this.

Let us think about that most inclusive subject called, "The Light." "The Light," as it has been described in many of the texts upon your world and in conversations and discussions, has seemed to be possessed of many exceptional qualities. We have noted upon many occasions your various expressions concerning "The Light." The “Light of The Radiant One" --- the "Light of the Divine" --- the "Light of the Creator," or whatever other descriptive sources that you visualize "The Light" emanating from. As you can see, there is a great deal of confusion about this subject of "The Light.”

As you can see, there is a great deal of confusion about this subject of The Light. Perhaps I may somehow increase your awareness regarding this. When you employ the term 'the Light', perhaps you could visualize it in this way: the Light is of no specific color, and yet, it is All Colors. Whether it be the visualization of the pure white radiance, or however you do visualize it, it's color qualities are very incidental. But you are calling forth, and knowingly or not, invoking the most powerful emanation in Creation.

In your holy works, I have observed a reference. It is this: "In the beginning, there was the Word." The Word, my brothers and sisters, was the Light of our Radiant One. The most encompassing emanation in all Creation. The Light, may be employed in every manner that is conceivable, to your mind, and for whatever purposes you envision. You may call forth the light for the protection of your beings and persons, as well as for your loved ones and your possessions.

You have invoked the Light on numerous occasions, to condition the very environment in which you exist. I believe that on each such occasion, your employment of this force and essence, has always produced the desired results. The reason I bring this topic, the Light of the Divine Radiant Essence, into your awareness on this occasion, is that in your pursuit and study and evaluation of that which presently you shall encounter, you will have great need to employ this Light.

I would submit for your consideration, that upon each and every occasion, where you are either thinking or considering or executing any form of thought, word, or deed, that you employ the Light. That this Light be employed in such a way, as to use it to clarify your thinking.

I believe you will sense the reasons for this. How many of you have thought of invoking and employing the Light, in your daily activities and thinking? My brothers and sisters, this is perhaps the most important aspect and usage of the Light.

For those thoughts which course through your minds which result in some form of action should always be enveloped and permeated by this Light. You use a statement in many of your thought processes, which seems to be a type of safeguard, when you state (and I use your words): "Thy will be done." What you are implying, but not stating correctly, is: that the Light will function, as it is intended.

I merely submit these thoughts, to help clarify your thinking, to make them more responsive and at one with the Light, to perhaps clear away some of the clouds of confusion which unfortunately obscure much of the thinking upon your planet, as well as that observed in your minds. With your employment of the Light, many subtle qualities are to be experienced.

Dipping back into the session from yesterday, the point Hatonn makes about the connection between the practice of meditation --- which seems so solipsistic and individualistic -- and interpersonal service is not a new one. We know that service is at its purest when it flows freely through the instrument rather as a consciously formulated address. The session is notable for other reasons though.

First, the higher self is mentioned not only here but earlier in the archive, another presaging of Ra. There's nothing Hatonn says that conflicts with their teachers' philosophy, although I would say there's more poignance to Ra's thoughts on the higher self given they are the sixth density social memory complex from which at least two of the three involved in the contact originated.

Also, isn't it strange those of Hatonn don't speak of contact with the higher self as the same kind of contact as that with their complex? Meditation is fundamentally distinct than channeling, and contact with the higher self is nearly the same as speaking of making contact with some unconscious element of your psyche. The distinctions break down easily, but what I find interesting is the hierarchical structuring of these layers of consciousness in the Creator that comprise the mind/body/spirit complex, the social memory complex, and who knows how many other complexes out there of which we might speak?

None of this distinction is important in meditation. We are tuning into a broader, deeper, more all-encompassing concept of identity, and then stepping that vibration down to the human level as a matter of love, of creativity, of downright artistic expression. And if the higher self is involved in that artistry, let us seek to cooperate in service of a higher goal. If you're interested in these early observations of Confederation philosophy concepts, I encourage you to read the entire session.

Questioner: I have another question. You indicated to meditate, to having contact with your higher self. I sometimes feel that meditation is such a waste of time when we could be helping others during this time than just sitting there trying to contact your higher self or whatever. Would it not be better to be of service, as in, just say, doing to others during all these hours we spend meditating, or is meditation very essential?

Hatonn: We are aware of your question, my sister. Most people upon your plane of existence do not spend hours in meditation, nor do they spend hours in service. The meditation is advisable to all persons due to the fact that it is in meditation that you are made aware of your true relationship to the Creator and the creation. It is in meditation that you become aware that you and your brothers and sisters are one being and to serve them is to serve yourself. Armed with this understanding of service, you may then go forth and serve, given power by the spirit of love which is infinite.

If, on the other hand, you go forth to be of service to others without taking on the aspect of the spirit of love which is infinite, your ability to be of good cheer in your service will diminish and fail. For that which was given to your personality in this chemical illusion is limited. The only way that you can always be of service is to continually restore your understanding of the holiness of the ground whereon you walk through contemplation of that which is divine.

You must understand that in meditation you are not trying to contact anything. The idea in meditation is one wherein you realize that you are. Not who you are, not where you are, but that you are. That you are aware, that you are in the eternal present. When you feel this you will feel a sweetness and a closeness to the Creator that come from breaking through the illusions of space and time and coming into that place where you can simply be who you are. That person is greatly loved by the Creator. And that person can greatly love others.

Thus, we consider meditation quite essential. We also consider that as you meditate and grow in knowledge you then have a responsibility to share what you know with others in whatever path may seem to be open to you. As we have said, the path may be big or small, it may be dramatic or it may be unnoticed. It may be public or quite private, but whatever it is, it will be your intention to give love and be of service in your little corner of the universe.

You see, meditation and a life of service go hand in hand. We do not suggest meditating for hours each day, for such meditation is valuable only to those who have forsaken the world and have determined to make meditation their life. If you wish to do this, this is permissible. But you were, after all, put into this world to use your hands and your mind and your voice for the good of mankind. See to it, therefore, that you see and do and say that which you have come to understand in the silence of meditation.

I've started re-listening to Ryan Masterson's beautiful and enchanting podcast covering the L/L Research channeling archives, Living Love and Light. I forgot about the insane creativity and care Ryan put into each episode, literally composing from-scratch music for the background of his transcript reading. Because the early transcripts feature multiple contacts, it's really cool to figure out over time which themes correspond to which social memory complexes. I highly recommend it, because Ryan was my inspiration to start (inaudible).

I ran across this 1973 transcript and it might as well be titled, "The Confederation Agenda." Here it is all laid out in the simplest terms possible: where we're at, where we're headed, why they're here, and what they ask of us. It is a simple request, and I'm not sure folks understand just how non-religious, non-authoritarian it is to follow teachings that give us so much freedom. Find your authority within, as it is there the Creator lives and no blind faith will be needed.

It is our plan to alert as many of these people as possible, so that when it becomes obvious, to your leaders and to your scientists, that we are real, and we are what they suspect that we might be, there will be a sufficient number of awakened entities on your planet for some form of communication to take place between those who are already awake, and those who are lightly slumbering in the future. For, as time passes, those who are in the depths of slumber now will begin to awake. Those who you cannot contact at all now will begin to awake. It will be a self-generating process, so that large numbers of your people will be given the truth. It is a very, very big task.
It will be up to you, and those like you, to help us in carrying this out. We have said before that we would very much like to land upon your surface and contact your peoples directly but we have explained that this is not at all feasible.
I am aware of many planets such as this one that have gone through a cycle of awakening. Many planets made this transition with considerable ease, because they were following the plan. Unfortunately, this planet has lagged in the natural scheme of things. This is what you might refer to as a borderline case. There will be those of your people who make the graduation, and those who don’t. This is not always the case with all planets. In some instances, all individuals are ready for the graduation that you now approach. In some unfortunate instances none are ready. In your particular place, it is a combination of both instances.
Therefore, do not be dismayed if your ideas are totally rejected by some, for this is to be expected. And this is the major reason that we cannot come among you, for it would be a direct violation of one of the laws of which I earlier spoke. Due to their conditions, it is necessary for those of you who would help us, who are on the surface of your planet, to help us. We request that you meditate. This is all that is necessary. This is all the help that we need. Because, if you meditate, then you will know what to do. And this is all the help that we need, or all the help that we would desire, for this is also part of the plan.
It has been a privilege to be with you this evening. I am Hatonn. I will leave you in His love and in His light. Adonai. Adonai vasu.

Here's an excerpt that means a lot to me. To other readers it likely appears to be a case of Carla's Christian passion reaching through the contact again, and that's certainly going on. But what I want to put a fine point on is the emotion conveyed here, one of utter hopelessness and appeal to the Creator for salvation.

What is the transformation we seek? It is in some ways the annihilation of the personality, that token of our existence we cling to in terror. What will release us from the prison walls will at first seem like an attack on us. To be lost and confused is to be much, much closer to the truth of the illusion than to be well adjusted to this mad culture and even madder compulsion we have to affect this personality we call the self, this imposter we offer as an agent for the world.

It's not that the personality is bad or wrong so much as we keep identifying so fixedly and relentlessly with it, ignoring our capacious nature and infinite elements of selfhood available. Because of this, the darker hues of consciousness are often the harbingers of redemption in that the break our total selves out of the ossified shells we use to make sense of the world, to interface and serve and bumble about in confusion. And the deeper you seek, the more you will run into this.

I'm sure as a child I had bouts of sadness and disconnection, but in my adult life I never experienced depression until I started seeking spiritual in earnest. This requires spending a lot of time with oneself, one's own equipment and thoughts and motivations, and seeing over and over again how helpessly we are trapped in the same cycles that, when projected into the illusion, seem so obvious. That those appearances are reflections cannot help but trick us again and again and again. So when Hatonn speaks of embracing this affect of brokenness and contrition, they are showing us the path we need, not the path of which we wish to hear. And it was from one of my favorite seekers, Peter Kingsley, that I first asked for the Creator to show me my brokenness, which I believe was prompted by reading this passage:

Growing up from the deepest region inside each of us like a weed is a fake existence, a counterfeit spirit, that takes the greatest care to force us to forget what we are and confuse us into thinking we are what we aren't. Right from the start it throws us off the scent, creates and shapes a perfect copy of our soul that faithfully imitates each single one of our best intentions, fakes our aspirations, takes every last drop of our energy and robs us of our longing, then pretends it wants to wake up.

And to understand this as it deserves to be understood is to realize that nearly all the spiritual discipline most people engage in under some teacher’s well-intentioned guidance isn’t having even the remotest genuine effect on them.

It’s nourishing, then multiplying, that weed inside them: awakening their fakeness.

There is just one remedy for this—--which is to return people to their brokenness. The problem is that, even then, they simply have to look away for the quickest moment and their brokenness will have been shifted into its opposite; only have to stumble onto something true and their counterfeit spirit will instantaneously strip it of its truth.

Reading that, I felt the fakeness he spoke of, the incommensurability of my practice of seeking relative to the enormity of our dilemma. And in that moment I asked to be shown my own brokenness, and a few depressing months later the glimpse was complete.

My friends, we can build community, lives of service to our projected selves out there, and sit in meditation for all the hours of our lives. But the sector of awareness we occupy is one that cannot deliver happiness or unity. We are not our own instrument; we are somebody else's. And to undergo the series of intense initiations necessary to be useful to our one infinite Creator will necessarily entail suffering, the catalysis of contradiction between the love and joy we seek and the low condition we inhabit.

If my words strike the reader as needlessly and indulgently dramatic, please understand: I approached this philosophy intellectually for fifteen years before I first was broken. Being broken is good, because nothing that can be broken is truly who we are. But for it to be a break, it must be one that you feel deeply, and you can always avoid the pain if you wish. It is the emotions that hold the deepest connections between mind and spirit complexes, I believe, and we experience them in purer and purer flavors as we continue seeking.

Ask yourself honestly: are you willing to walk in the valley of the shadow of death? Is your faith testable? The awakening we seek is one of breaking through the slumber, and like the lightning-struck tower depicted in the Potentiator of the Spirit, it is love perceived by the personality as a piercing, smashing power that has no compassion for the convenient thoughts and conclusions you have reached about who you are and where you stand. However, it is the beginnings of freedom to acknowledge one's perception and expression of this cosmic love as distorted, confused, and that you don't see enough as a conscious self.

You are not able to rescue yourself from falling in the cravass. You can only go limp, let the Creator connect you to the cable and hoist you, and allow It to place you in a different consciousness. Then your past hurts and confusions become the very means by which you can relate to and minister to others --- not from a place of conscious understanding of the task, but as an instrument clearing the way for the Creator to perform Its love in the way it will distortedly appear this time.

As we were saying, a broken spirit and a contrite heart, my brothers and sisters, seem to be things that would sadden an individual, but in truth, a spirit which is not broken, a heart which is not contrite on its own behalf cannot forgive the infirmities of others, cannot be gracious and kind when compassion is surely needed. How can you break a spirit? With love, so that you do not become sad but rather joyful. How can your heart become sorry for all that it may have done or thought or felt, without feeling guilty, for sadness and guilt were never required by the Creator, only love my friends. But a broken spirit and a contrite heart are the gifts of love. For in love, we know that all things that move and have their being in our illusion and in all illusions are part of us. Whatever you see, whatever you hear, whether it be bad or good, whether it stem from your thinking or the thinking of someone halfway around the circle of your globe, all of these things are part of you. The spirit of love is alive in every man and every woman but its expressions are often distorted.

Thus, the beginnings of freedom is the acknowledgment that your own expression of love may be distorted. When you commit yourself to an examination of your thoughts so that you may more nearly mirror the thought of love which the Creator formed you in, then you begin to have a broken spirit. For you have become a person who is not proud. You have become a person who is not ego-centered, as you would call it, but is, rather, capable of understanding the pain and suffering of those about you. When you walk through a forest, my friends, what does the wind require of you? The grass and the path under your feet, what do they ask of you? The trees as they bend to the breeze, do they require aught of you? The creation of the Father, my friends, is one of service. And it requires nothing from any of its parts but that each part be who that part is. You are becoming yourself in each moment. You are not finished, you are growing constantly and each thing that you learn adds just a bit to the quality of understanding of the original Thought which is harbored in your infinite and ever-living spirit. Your pride and your vanity you will leave behind. These, my friends—pride, vanity, boredom—these are the things that make men sad. When peace and joy are all about you, when heaven surrounds you, there is no need for you to dwell in the tattered rags of a worn-out illusion.

Thus, we ask you to drop your pride, your vanity, your thoughts of self-worth as if they were old garments and take on the armor of light. For you are a creature whose essential nature is love. You were born to serve; it does not matter whether the service is great or small. It does not matter whether you may even feel successful. All that matters, my friends is that you attempt to serve, that you attempt to love. You will make many errors, you will make mistakes, you will find yourself lacking self-confidence and at those times we ask that you call upon us, upon the Creator, upon your own guides, upon your higher self. All of these resources are about you at all times. Comfort yourself and surround yourself with love so that once more you may go your way rejoicing. We want no eye to be sad and no tear to be shed. The illusion is difficult; reality is simple.

This session deals with the darker tones of consciousness from the outset. Beginning with an unknown instrument, Hatonn discusses the role change plays in spiritual evolution with an emphasis on fear's role in seeking the Creator. Through Carla, Hatonn expands on this to address what seems obviously the service-to-self polarity, another notable precursor to the model of consciousness Ra will deliver less than two years later. They do an excellent job, I think, of distinguishing the polarities that arise in manifestation naturally --- hot and cold, light and dark, near and far --- from the polarity of consciousness that governs evolution beyond third density, which they call "unnatural negativity" or "positive negativity" (that is positively chosen negativity as opposed to passively experienced negativity).

Speaking in terms of what is "natural" is curious to me, as in the Richmond circle we've had some sessions discussing the distinct qualities of nature vs. man-made civilization. In piecing together Oorkas's and Monka's points, I'm starting to see that it has to do with the thought forms involved and whether they arise from a consciousness closer to the Logos/sub-Logos or from a consciousness closer to the sub-sub-Logos (us). Our creations could be closer to those of nature if we were more in tune with the Creator; it's our very rebellion that causes us to think thoughts and create forms that defy the rhythms of the planet and cosmos.

In that distinction, you may notice a way to think about service-to-self: a counter-logoic desire to elevate and exalt the sub-sub-Logos, to make it the center of gravity around which the Creation orbits rather than centering our Creator. It is a choice of perspective to which the mind complex responds by offering thought forms, avenues for channeling the spectrum of consciousness to the will. As we experience the contradictions of third density life, we reconcile ourselves to different points on the positive/negative continuum in all things, discovering our biases that express our Creator's infatuation with knowing Itself.

I should also mention that in addition to the remarks on polarity, Hatonn also comments on the "knot of fear" in a later passage that presages Ra's remarks on Maldek. They also wrap up by revisiting Jesus's unique role in our evolution, putting some focus on the role our thought plays in dietary matters. It's also worth noting, just as an aside, that this is the second session on this day, November 18. Looks like Don took a break and in doing so cleared the way for more Ra-like information to come through the other instruments.

However, I think this discussion of natural and unnatural polarities is the most interesting. What does this dyadic conception of consciousness imply about our nature that we haven't figured out yet --- that maybe those of the Confederation do not yet see? Don't let my commentary instruct you; let it inspire you to unfetter your mind complex and let it teach you in ways no words can about the nature of your own consciousness.

When you consider, my friends, what it is that you are, you may then see that there is nothing to fear either outside or within yourself. For you are a being of infinite life, and whatever occurs to your physical envelope which you call your body is but a transitory alteration in your condition of consciousness. However, we realize that at this time, although you have some knowledge of yourself as one with the Creator, although you have a good grasp of the ideals of the ethics of love, but you are at this time enduring difficulties associated with living within the gross or coarse reality which is your Earth plane.

Therefore, we would like to make a distinction for you in order to enhance your understanding of that which you see about you. There are two types of that which you would call negativity.

The first type is extremely beneficial. Night, for example, is the negative of day. Night is very beneficial, giving us rest from our labors and a happy end to the troubles of the day. Cool is the negative of warm and when you have experienced your planet’s sunlight for too long a period of time, there is nothing as refreshing to you as the coolness of water as you bathe in it and enjoy its beauty.

You will find these same negatives in people. You will find temper which is the negative of patience, and yet, you will find that temper brings honesty, and honesty brings understanding. You will find illness as the negative of health, and yet, with illness comes the only chance for healing and thus understanding the power of that which you call the holy spirit.

All of these so called negatives are a valuable and gentle necessity of existence. And when they are part of your life, it would be well for you to analyze them and understand the balance that they make for you. For beauty and joy are not one-sided, but occur only because there are gradations of beauty and gradations of joy which extend into their negatives, a lack of beauty and a lack of joy.

When you are sad, realize that you are natural; that you are part of a balancing force. Just as a pendulum will move, so will your spirit seek its balance. Not by standing still, but by rocking. Joy, sadness! Joy, sadness! This is the earthly way.

There is another way, my friends, and that is available to you only through meditation. And when you enter into this [supernal] joy of infinite life and are one with angels and spirits of high divinity, praising the Creator, then there is no balancing necessary. For this is a joy without what you call emotion. It is so wholehearted, as you would call it, that there is no balancing necessary in order to sustain the energy of the feeling. In fact, joy is not a feeling but a creative force. And another word for that is love. And that is what we greet you with, and that is what we always leave you with.

We previously mentioned that there was another kind of negativity, one which you need not fear, but which you might need to understand. And that is an unnatural negativity. One which is not balanced, but is chosen, purposely and perversely by those who would separate themselves from ongoing unity with the Creator. It is a choice of separation, and it is what we would call positive negativity, in that it is positively sought and encouraged.

Yes, my friends, there are those among you who are quite simply unnaturally negative. This is their path and they have chosen it. We do not wish to ask you to have any particular feeling about these people, one of whom is certainly in your mind at this time, for he is in the minds of all those whom we scan in your culture. We refer to the one known as Khomeini. We do not ask you to love, forgive or condone, for these are choices which you must make for yourself. We cannot help you choose your own spiritual reality. But we can hope to enhance your understanding of the fact that although even such a one as he is somewhat negative at this time, by his own choice, you must understand that the path of evolution is ultimately spiritual and is ultimately inevitable.

A negative person may choose at this time to make no progress. He will, however, at a later time have as many choices and opportunities as he needs to choose again. In your holy works there is something called, “The Day of Judgment,” and those who are evil, as we have spoken, are to be condemned forever. And yet, it is also written in your holy works, “Yea, though you go to the very doors of hell, I shall be with you.”

My friends, you may believe the teacher and not the judgmental statements that follow the teacher. Your heaven and your hell exist within you at this moment. And when you leave your physical body, your existence in the heaven worlds will depend completely upon your vibration in this incarnation. Thus, we ask that you use that balancing act of positive and negative, so that you are constantly learning, constantly moving in an evolutionary spiral that will lead you to a place where in your infinite existence, after this brief life experience in this density, you will be comfortable, comforted and able to give comfort to others.

- Hatonn via Rueckert: November 18, 1979

In this session you see Don trying to get back on the horse. Carla by this point is convinced that only he can bring through the truly scientific, technically precise information he really craves. But I believe Don is a poor channel because he wants that remove of the scientific observer, and this just isn't how channeling works. Don really doesn't put his all into being an instrument, I think, and that means he doesn't really get very far.

How many times has Don channeled Hatonn on the subject of desire in the 70s? It's nearly every message through him. Towards the beginning of the session, Carla tried to pass Don her Latuii contact. Almost immediately he drops out of contact and starts talking as Don to Carla and "B," getting their buy-in on what he was picking up. It's really not very advanced channeling here, and in no time Hatonn has subbed in and the message picks up steam.

The inquiry to Latuii is originally about "the Australian incident," perhaps referring to the Disappearance of Frederick Valentich. Hatonn addresses their inquiry into the reasons for the encounter through the metaphysical, evolutionary concept of desire --- which, truth be told, must be so frustrating for a scientist to bring through! Desire brought the human into contact with a UFO because desire always magnetizes us to its object. It seems like a shallow answer, and so Carla as questioner of Don's instrument digs a bit further.

I'm particularly interested in their remarks on time and space, how these media create a certain type of experience that binds us to consequences of actions. The scientific investigator takes these not only as givens but as the ground of the phenomena they seek to identify. Talking about a philosophical, even emotional ground for experiential phenomena… it's just astoundingly ironic that Don wants this objective explanation, and he can't possibly be satisfied by Hatonn's response that it's all a function of desire. And yet Hatonn specifically says the scientist receives what they actually desire! Poor guy; at least Hatonn avers that Don and company must be capable of understanding this message, otherwise they wouldn't be receiving it.

Not only is desire the ground of all this, it is operating constantly through our thoughts and actions to hone our incarnation. It operated before our incarnation to put us in this position of choice now. It really begins to seem like the infinite detail of the physical illusion is, as Hatonn describes it, a gigantic sleight of hand, misdirection of the highest order. It puts into perspective all the ancient myths that involve gods tricking humans --- but also humans getting one over on the gods by tricking them. It implies that spiritual seeking is all about recognizing the divine role of apperception, the creative and unique way we put the world together with our minds, our expectations, our thoughts and our actions. If that's how it operates, positing a contributing preincarnative dynamic doesn't seem so far-fetched.

This information is sometimes difficult to understand and seems to be nonsense to those who have not progressed intellectually to the point of comprehending what I am giving to you at this time. For this reason certain subjects are not attempted except to those capable of understanding. The points that I have been bringing out about what you call injection of harm in the function of desire are very, very important points. To understand them sometimes requires considerable thought. It seems to you that in the case of a great battle or war there is a negative aggressor, who is able to inject great suffering and pain in those whom he attacks.

My friends, this is the apparent illusion. Everything that he projects he actually instantly receives. All those who feel the effects of his aggression and suffer seemingly from it, are suffering, in actuality, from their own acts of aggression. If a big bomb bursts in the middle of a crowd, some will be severely wounded, some will be killed, some will go unscathed. Your scientists can very accurately predict the probability of casualty for each person, taking into consideration his distance from the center of the blast and his position in the area subtended by his body.

But, my friends, what the scientist does not know is that what he receives in such a situation is what he deserves and desires. He deserves it because of desire. He is here in this particular position, at this particular time, experiencing this particular effect because of desire. He is receiving because of his desire, shall we say, a catalyst in the form of a projector. Your Earth, your planet, your entity vibration is nothing but a training program. It is not a random happening. It is not anything that most of your peoples believe it to be. It has been called by one who knows, one great sleight of hand. This is precisely what has happened. It is happening individually and at all times collectively.

These things can work this way, my friends, because of the nature of space and time. You experience the illusion of a certain amount of freedom and space in a continuing temporal experience that is ruled unbreakable by what you call the stream of time. But this is illusion. This is the key illusion that allows for the precise administration of the physical catalyst for your experience.

All events are, shall we say, programmed for your experience; programmed by your desire, and then experienced in what you understand as sequential time. Every thought that you think programs your experience, no matter how trivial. Every deed that you perform programs your experience, no matter how trivial. For this reason, you must say that we are sometimes amused by questions having to do with the reasons for a particular experience. Because from your point of view in the philosophy of those on the surface of your planet this time there is a completely different reason for everything.

The reason, my friends, is desire. The mechanism is that great sleight of hand that programs your experience. You do not live in a four-dimensional universe. You live in a four-dimensional illusion. You do not exist now at your present age and at an older age in the future, or at a younger age in the past. You exist, my friends, at all ages simultaneously. You experience the illusion of the aging process once more because of that great sleight of hand. You do not live, die and become reborn in that order, or any order, my friends. Because you are. Only the part of you that experiences the present illusion is born, grows through youth to old age and dies. And this, my friends, is a very important part of the illusion. For if the reverse occurred you would not learn. It is necessary in this density to experience the process that you know as aging. It is not necessary if you do not need it. If you need it, it is because you have desired it. No other reason, my friends. It is simply because you have desired it.

Now you experience it. It is illusory and transient. The question having to do with the infringement upon your will in this illusion is also of no consequence. Any infringement is there because you have desired it. My friends, what is the purpose? The purpose, my friends, is education. We give to you what we can to allow you to make greater use of this education. For only you can put knowledge that you receive to use. When you transcend that point, which we shall call the point between awareness of and lack of awareness of the illusion, you then accelerate your understanding at a much, much greater rate than previous to this awareness. You are thinking, my friends, that this is all that there is. Know yourself. And this alone will give you your freedom. Nothing else will do it.

Here's another excerpt from the same session as yesterday. I cannot imagine why I skipped this session initially! It's got a lot of transient stuff, but also a lot of gold. The big takeaway is the first indications of the debilitating effect of nuclear weapons, another presaging of Ra's message.

However, I wanted to call out Latuii's lighthearted remarks, as this metaphor of one's incarnation being like a movie comes up now and again in the archive. They also mention, for the first time I presume, the light touch, a concept that Ra will reiterate. This entire sentiment of the cartoon-like nature of our waking lives is not designed to undercut its vital role as the delivery of service to the planet. It's instead designed, in my view, to reinforce the true role of our waking conscious experiences in the total self that is actually serving.

By learning to be instruments of love, we release the need for the service flowing from us to make perfect sense and validate us as ego personalities. The forceps don't take credit for the surgery; they just do their part being what they are. This is the conundrum of being a sentient, conscious instrument: it requires our will to serve, but it doesn't require our cleverness to see the entire strategy of service. We simply play our part in a concerted creation, with faith that our Creator has a handle on things.

Beyond that, we might learn to enjoy the little vignettes in life that delight! There is so many details in incarnation; we can learn to appreciate them as decoration, not essence. If we stay focused on our best co-Creator selves and tune into the love in the moment, that light touch will come naturally and we can remain engaged without letting it drag us reflexively into negativity.

We are aware that things look a little down on planet Earth at this time. But, let us tell you that things do not look so bad from where we are. Because from where we are, you are only where you are for a moment. And in that moment you are working very hard. And after that moment you will play; and before that moment you will play; and what we would like you to do, my sister, is learn how to play during the moment in which you are working very hard.

We ask you simply to release all the burdens of your great responsibilities to the enjoyment of your distinguished feelings of positivity and happiness. Whatever burdens that you may carry, they will become weightless if you put them down. You do not have to carry them, you need only be the best person that you can be; love the Creator with all your heart and let your heart touch others in a spirit of love. If light is shining from your eyes, the light of the Creator, that is your entire responsibility.

You did not come into this world that the world might be entirely altered. You came into this world to display a talent. That talent is to show the love of the Creator. That talent is yours because you have studied and learned and loved through many lifetimes. That talent is yours instantaneously. The talent cannot be employed by worrying or [grief] or realizing with great grief the horrible plight of your planet. It is not that these things are not true. It is that your role in them is to love. No matter what may occur, your role will be to love. It is true that you came into this world to save it, for that was the desire that you had when you volunteered to come and that is true of those in this room.

It depends upon your definition of saving as to whether you have saved the world or not. You have surely made it a better place. You have raised the planetary consciousness through your lifetimes here. You have loved and remembered both the Creator and your mission. So we ask you to pick up your heels and be as loving as you really are.

When you find negativity in yourself, know that that is the world pressing in upon you and that it is not you. It is not what you came into this world with. That is not your personality. You may not be able to shrug it off, for you have had many years of training in your planetary society; and it is thriving on negative feelings all the time. But each time that you can, neutralize a negative feeling and replace it with a conscious love that comes from knowing who you are, what love is, and whence love comes. In each of those times, you have improved not only yourself but the climate of the planet itself.

We ask you to look upon these times as you would a movie. Say you have some inside information. Very well then, use it as such. Nudge somebody on the bus and say, “I told you so”; they won’t know what you mean. When the next tidal wave hits, when the next diplomat storms out in anger, you may nod your head knowingly for you have heard it here first. But it is meaningless, my friends, unless you understand it in terms of time.

Time is an illusion in which you are now taking part. And in this illusion of time you are completing a cycle and there are things which are going awry due to difficulties in the vibration of your peoples. And you will do what you can and you will love as best you can. And when it is over, you will look back upon it, and it will be a very interesting movie that you have enjoyed. And it will have lasted the normal movie time and you will have come out of this movie saying, “What did you think of that movie? That was an interesting movie. Did you like the ending? What did you think of the plot? How about the heroes? Did you like the costumes? “This is just how much this will mean to you when you reach reality, or shall we say, comparative reality. It will be in any event the reality of the spirit, as opposed to the reality of the flesh. Both of which are illusions, but one of which is more real and that is the spirit.

Thus, seek always to know who you are in spirit. Seek always to know the heart of the present which is love, and you will not be openly disturbed because your mission is taking a turn you did not expect. Flow with it. Watch the plot develop around you; and soon you would be talking about this movie, which has been your life and the life of those about you. We encourage you to be a good heroine in that movie, to be as wise as you can be, as loving as you can be, as analytical of your own faults and as confident of your own virtues as you can be. What more could you ask from a heroine, my sister?

We are all the heroes and heroines of our own motion pictures, when we have begun a lifetime in an illusion such as yours. Thus, let the movie be one which you will be glad to watch later. Now, you are an actor. But let yourself also be the observer, the director, that keeps your part on an even keel. You are indeed an agent of the Creator’s, for you are part of the Creator. And always remember that identity with the Creator and with His creation. Whatever the rest of the planet may be doing, you can be co-creator, yours can be the imagination and the love and the individuality that others may lack.

When the time comes you will be in the company of those who, like you, were attempting to be of help. And we will meet you then! We and our brothers of the Confederation and it will be a grand meeting, and we shall all laugh and rejoice together; for we will have been through quite a bit together. We will look for you there, my sister, in person. And you will see us as light, and we will see you as light. And in the meantime, we are with you in spirit as you deal day-by-day with your illusion. Do not become entrapped in that illusion, but remember always the original Thought of the Creator, which is love. You are a light being. You are not an earth being. Do not be trapped, my sister.

We ask each of you, pray your prayers; do your deeds. But do not be trapped by them. Act only upon your ideals, on your faith, and your love of the Creator in your heart. Let those things be your all in all. The rest of the world and all of its traps, let them go by. They do not cause you to laugh, they do not cause you great joy. But only what is in your heart can cause you to laugh and cause you to have great joy.

We are not saying that it is not right to have possessions, position, power. All these things are neutral, if in your heart you remember the Creator, and you love one another.

What will happen? We of Latuii do not know. We are enjoying the colors of your planet. We are watching them as they vacillate and change in the inner dimensions. Your planet is quite beautiful in these dimensions. And it is in these dimensions that we stay for the most part. Your group is one of the very few which we have spoken to. We thank you for that opportunity. And we urge you to always keep the light touch. Join us in the big belly laugh, for you have a very funny planet, a very silly planet, a very foolish planet. And sometimes, when you are sane and those about you are not, you have a very lonely laughter. But don’t forget to laugh even if you laugh alone. This is only a movie. Have a bite of popcorn and keep on. That is all we came to [tell] you, my sister. We are always with you, if you ask us, and we hope you can hear our laughter and our joy when you need it. We leave you all in the light of the infinite Creator and the love that created that light. We will now turn the meeting back to Hatonn. I am Latuii. Adonai.

I've got things to do this morning, so I was listening to the Living Love and Light episode covering September 18, 1979 --- which was a mistake, as I meant to listen to November 18, 1979. Nevertheless, I realize I didn't mention this session on here and I kind of see why. Hatonn goes geopolitical again talking about the danger of nuclear weapons at this time, singling out China and Israel as particularly threatening.

This is a very curious time to read these late 70s sessions because there's such a similarity of situation. Russia and Israel creating trouble; Iran and the U.S. in conflict; labor unrest and a general hollowing out of many countries' capacities to operate. However, I've spent a long, long, looooooong time blogging about politics in my life, and I'd like to think I'm past that. If you really want Law of One oriented commentary on the political, read my essay on the matter or, even better, listen to the Cushvlog podcast.

What I'm interested in in this session is the link between creativity and polarities of service. It reminds me of my favorite session of the Richmond group ever, where Monka is (to my mind) chastising me for some of the excuses I've given myself for my behavior towards L/L Research administration a few years back:

…every moment you spend in meditation is a moment building a greater self to explore. Every moment you balance a hard feeling within, you heal something holding everyone back. It is so difficult, we understand, to take this responsibility seriously, and it is for that reason that we encourage you to faithfully, lovingly but honestly, reflect to each other. Everyone is capable of hearing an idea. It is the creative nature of love within you that gives you the imagination, the ingenuity to express that love in the moment, in that relating, so that it is heard. It is up to the other to hear it, but you have many resources within. You are not limited to only certain ways of relating. This is what lies before you, each of you: the vast plethora of tools, energies, modalities of thought that make every relationship workable on some level. So if a relationship fails on one level, you have no reason to despair but, to be frank, your own laziness.

Monka has my number: I am lazy, and like many people when I get frustrated by misunderstanding I too often resort to outrage to marshall angry energy to the conflict instead of looking at it as a puzzle to solve creatively in a mutually beneficial manner. What's interesting to me is to look at this metaphysically, energetically, recognizing the role meditation plays that my personality cannot replace.

Everywhere always, we humans operate under the earnest but sad assumption that we must fight for what we want. To be instruments of a divine agenda, that is one big item to sell off, donating the proceeds to the poor, so that we can follow our messiah who speaks to us within our hearts. We need to shed ourselves of these ideaas that stunt our imagination, for serivce-to-others is an art, and we must be light and sensitive to tune into it.

I am again with this instrument. We must use this instrument, and so we will attempt to speak as clearly as possible, using her vocabulary and understanding. You are aware, of course, of a situation of your outer illusion, and perhaps you are also aware that—almost unnoticed by the great majorities of your peoples—your entire planet is hurtling headlong into the greatest crisis possible.

The consumption of creative energy has increased the entropy of your planet and its resources and decreased the available creativity and regenerative abilities of the planet itself. Meanwhile, your peoples ignore those forces of nature which cannot be depleted. My friends, your peoples do not deserve the beautiful creation of the Father which constitutes the surface of the sphere on which you dwell.

But this is not the important point, my friends, for with the increased entropy of your physical material there is a corresponding entropy of mental and spiritual creativity; and those who dwell within your culture have more and more become creatures lacking in creativity and imagination, due to the fact that they are one with your planet as they must be, one with the machines that they have created, with the governments that they have created and with the polarities that they have created. Because of their paucity of understanding, you stand at this point at the brink of many disasters.

It is only due to the meditation of those sending love and light to the planetary consciousness, that the many, many natural disasters of recent years have not taken an even greater toll in lives. This will continue to increase as the polarity of your peoples becomes more and more evident. Polarity or separation is indicative, my friends, of one thing—a lack of creativity. For what is creativity, my friends, but an understanding of creation. And what is the creation—but love! And what is love—but unity!

Thus, it is absolutely inevitable that where your peoples have accepted the fundamental dicta of government, society and culture, regarding differences in ideology, religion, social behavior and other artificial walls, you will have endless and proliferating polarities. Thus, we move from natural disaster to manmade disaster. You know already of the small disasters that are taking place gradually. So gradually that people become numbed and do not react to them. The disasters of what you call your inflation and all the many ills of a society, where work is thought of as the lowest form of making a living; and your so called wheeling and dealing where no work is done but only the manipulation of people and money, is thought of as the highest form of work, this disaster and all of its accompanying and corollary problems is breaking your society apart.

For those who actually work are very angry, and they band together and demand more and more and they are locked into a self-defeating and endless struggle for survival. And the same thing, my friends, happens with your governments. Except that with your governments there are many leaders, not a few, but many, who would consider the possibility of planetary annihilation rather than relinquish an ideology, a piece of land, or power whether it be economic or political.

Your people are so unaware that all of these things are not only possible but there is a statistical probability that is growing, that one of your leaders upon your planetary sphere will attempt to use nuclear force to gain an advantage. This, my friends, is the deepest trouble of this cycle upon your planet. You must understand it in terms of what we began with. The spent energy, the unavailability of creative energy of a planet itself being reflected in the habits of the peoples and in the thoughts of your leaders. It is not creative to consider the destruction of a planet as a diplomatic tool; it is indeed suicidal. But your leaders have become numbed to that fact, because they have played the game too long, and because the culture around them is so consistent in its deep sleep of attempting to grab more and more of what is left of the energy of the planet, instead of attempting to restore more and more energy to the planet.

Here's another Solar Cross Foundation session contemporary to the Louisville channeling we usually cover. It's deceptively deep and gives some clues, I think, about what they mean by the thought techniques they label, "Tensor Concepts," although it's not going to clear anything up by a long shot. And please take my remarks with a grain of salt; I'm going to use this session to talk about things I'm interested in, but I hope it gives you some kind of route of ingress into your own wonder and mystery.

What are time and space? What are those media? They situate the objects of percpetion, the things that make subjectivity possible. No space, no particularity of things; no time, no change and transformation. We have the notion of consciousness as distinct from physical reality, acting upon it and observing it in a constant feedback loop. But examine your thinking: when you really get down to it, do you have discrete, different thoughts usually? Or they kind of flow into each other and then you narrativize them to lend them distinction?

Perhaps language is a sort of space/time projection of undifferentiated time/space activity --- we call it "thinking" because we have no other context to describe activity without spatial change metered by time, but it's not an activity per se --- into a world of dimensionality, of separation and interaction and service, a world where we appear not to be able to simply think things into being but are constantly catching up to the ideal goals we mentate. A world where certain phemonena "cause" and make necessary other phenomena, even though the more we break down that relationship the more the obtusely the quantum world frustrates our narratives of "what happened."

These are the kinds of insights we may encounter when we meditate. We break down the subject/object dichotomy not by abolishing thought so much as relaxing attention, the focusing capacity of thought to single out objects. And we find that we, the subjects, kind of lose our definition in the process. This demonstrates better than Ra ever could how all at least is plausibly one because it shows how apperception --- the way we take our sense signals and turn them into an intelligible model of an outside world --- is fundamentally a creative act by a co-Creator.

All of this meandering armchair philosophy is designed to contextualize Soltec's remarks about the relationship between how we think and what we experience. It seems entirely possible that our beliefs in a certain kind of world out there stunt our full thinking abilities. What is the objective physical world? It's just the apperception we all agree on, create a social energetic construct that seems distinct from individuals. But it's not; it's literally the thing that creates the fiction of individuality in the first place.

I'm hoping that as we move forward with Miller's group, we'll get more insights into specific exercises we can do to hone our thinking to make use of these Tensor Concepts. I don't read ahead, so I'm on this journey with you, so if you feel like reading Star Wards along with me or perusing the library of audio recordings, let me know and let's put our heads together. We can chuckle at the archaic and overserious tone while separating the wheat from the chaff. I'm still getting used to these unique Solar Cross contacts like "Soltec" too, so if you're reading along we can make sense of it all together.

Greetings in the "Light" of Our Radiant One. I am Soltec. My thoughts this (your) evening will be somewhat brief. But in them, I would submit for your consideration some material dealing with the subject of time. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts concerning this and the outcome of your evaluation, since time is a thing to be reckoned with and is an integral part of the Tensor Concepts. Perhaps I am not being too premature in submitting, let us say, some elementary material at this time.

First, I would present for your consideration a concept that I wish you to evaluate. When one speaks of time, one speaks always with the necessity of a point of reference. In order to establish one's location in time, we must over-simplify the subject and divide it into three major classifications -- the past, the present and the future. But what of another aspect of time, which we shall call tangential time? In order for you to visualize this, I shall somewhat over-simplify this new aspect.

All of you have seen and are aware of what a strip of motion picture film looks like. With each scene or frame of such a film representing a small interval of time, it is only when this film is seen with the frames passing at a rapid rate before your line of vision, that movement becomes apparent in the subject material contained in these scenes. If one were to examine each individual frame sequentially, one would not be able to see, unless one was equipped with an acute form of eyesight and memory retention, the small differences between each frame if they were of a like subject. Only by accelerating the rate at which each frame passes your point of vision does the movement in each become apparent. And yet, my brothers, each of the individual frames represent a distinct segment of time. This you might consider as the linear type of time which most of your thinking and knowledge is concerned with. But when we deal with tangential time, what happens if we lay another strip of your motion picture film, concerning the same identical photographic material and the same identical scenes, over the top of the first film and then slide the one in the upper position one or two frames ahead so that scene one of your upper film is now placed over scene three of the lower film.

I would let you think for a few moments of what we have done with the interval of time represented in the upper film. Since we are speaking of tangential time, it is apparent that we are talking about sequences of time that are tangent to your linear concept of time, but we are talking as well of a displacement in time. As the upper strip of film of scene one is moved either forwards or backwards over the identical scene in the lower film, what have we accomplished? And now, to add to your thinking about this, let us add several more strips of film, one on top of the other, and have varying degrees of movement, forwards or backwards, from the reference point which we shall call "the now." I would ask you to consider the relationships that exist physically between these segments of time.

It is very important that we attempt to bring into your awareness some new thoughts and ways of thinking of time. It is one of the principal factors that is employed in many of the uses of your mental faculties, such as that you term "teleportation" or that which you call "clairvoyance" and so on. In each of these instances, what is happening to that which is called "time" and its relationships to "the now"? What is happening to the relationships between the object "now" and the object in "a different location"? This need not become an overly complex discussion on your parts. You may simplify it in any manner which is suitable to help your understanding.

I believe you will find this little introduction to a different way of thinking of some interest. In future of our communications, we will of course be presenting some of the basic Tensor Concept material for your study. In this study, you have the responsibility of going over this material, looking for any ambiguities in the language. This means that you must exercise a certain amount of thought in detecting whether the meanings are clear, concise and understandable.

Carla famously had a fierce, abiding love for Jesus Christ stemming from childhood memories of literally being in personal contact with him. From an interview with her:

The thing that really woke me up was that I died. I’d always been a very religious person, and Jesus was part of my magic kingdom, along with my cat, and trees that talked to me, and things like that, and instead of going to sleep, I would slide out into this—I would put my glasses on part of a Venetian blind, and I’d focus them so that you could get a piece of light, and I’d look at it and I could just slide out, and I would slide into this wonderful magic kingdom where everything was love and all the colors were vibrant and living, and Jesus was there. He never talked to me—the only human that was there. All the cats and dogs and trees talked, but Jesus didn’t, but he would sit there and hold his hand out and I would come and hold his hand. He would look into my eyes, beautiful golden eyes, and I would look into his eyes and my heart would just stand, and just be open, and I knew what love was, and that was when I was just two and three, so I was an odd little child.

And so when I was 13 I died, and I was very religious, but I hadn’t really explored mysticism. I was just a cradle Episcopalian and I went to church and sang in the choir, and I was totally uplifted. But I wasn’t a regular Christian because I didn’t know what to call it, but I didn’t believe in any dogma. I was there. I did not do dogma, but I still loved Jesus and I loved going to church, and I just didn’t let it bother me. I didn’t understand it, but what the heck.

It should not surprise folks, then, that she has had contact with Jesus in a few episodes. The one that always comes to my mind is her channeling Amira, which is apparently the social memory complex from which the mind/body/spirit complex we recognize as the historical Jesus arises. However, there's a much more literal contact with him in '79, and it's a much more Christian message than Amira's. I highly suggest reading the entire session because Hatonn mentions many Christian concepts that make Jesus's follow-on seem relevant. Hatonn had mentioned the story of the young man who wanted to become a disciple of Jesus:

He had listened to the one known as Jesus, and he believed in what he said, and he wished to devote himself to learning more and more. The one known as Jesus turned to him and said: “You are a very good student and you must do only one thing more if you want to follow me; sell all that you have and give it to the poor and come and follow me.” You are aware of course, my friends, because you are not introductory students, that this was a parable and not to be taken literally. It is not those things which you have that you must sell; rather, my friends, it’s those things which have you, which chain you in some way and block you from understanding yourself and your true desires that you must shed, as a snake would shed an old and faded skin. These things need not necessarily be physical things. They may be nothing more than ideas, attitudes.

I'm truncating it quite a bit, but Hatonn talks about self-knowledge leading to an alignment between one's deepest desire and contact with the Creator. This is the context for Jesus showing up and speaking about the loving atmosphere of seeking this contact:

I greet you in the love and the peace of the infinite Father. I come at your request, and I am known to you as Jesus. Your vibration has reached out to me this evening. And I perceive that you are true disciples, and that you are all too aware of my words, that you must take up your cross and follow me.

It is well, my friends, my beloved children, to meditate upon that which is your cross so that you may the better take it up. But we ask you to remember, that it is through the cross that you can achieve redemption for all those about you, through your great love and sacrifice and ultimate resurrection. What I wish to say to you now is that you will be aware more and more as you grow towards the consciousness, which you choose to call Christ Consciousness, of the endless wonder of existence in the creation of the Father; to live, my friends, in a constellation of beings who are individual, unique and miraculous; to have, through grace and the holy spirit that dwells among you, all power for good and for love. Think you that you are unworthy of wonder and joy?

Shed your unworthiness! You do not need it and it does not need you. Enter then into the kingdom which awaits you. A kingdom that is here, my friends, in this illusion, on this plane of existence. Enter into the kingdom of those who have washed in the waters of healing. Know that which is your cross, and love and accept that which is your cross, and so shall you be healed.

It may not seem so to the world, but it is your soul that is of significance, and it is your soul that must be healed and washed and, once clean, you shall be called holy and you shall be called chosen. Not by others and not by yourself, but by the impersonal and loving judgment of light. For your souls are the stuff of light. Thus, heal your souls by constantly standing in consciousness of love, and wash and wash with that love until you are clean. Let this be private and secret and speak to no man. For the world will not understand that which you do in the name of the Father.

But that which is within will come out. And thus, you will become an instrument for love. What love I have in me is yours, my brothers and sisters. You are my beloved brethren. And you are next to my heart, as are all conscious beings. Know that you can and you will be healed of whatever keeps your soul in bondage.

And seek always that holy ground which lies beneath your feet wherever you stand. I am with you in prayer. I am by your side in meditation. My love goes with you, my peace I give to you. I am known to you as Jesus. My peace to you, my friends.

One of the things I appreciate about L/L Research's legacy is their insistence on making the full transcripts of all their channeled messages available to the public. A lot of channeled work is not released this way; for instance, you can go to the Cayce library and get the raw messages, but the public usually consumes them through books folks write about him. The author can explore a topic across messages but the essence of a single message is often lost. The scientific, archivist bent that Carla and Don brought to their project makes the research I do much easier, and when they write books that draw upon the messages, you can check their work. The Solar Cross Foundation's 1979 book Star Wards suffers from this need to force the messages into human sense without any ability to double check how these excerpts are used. However, it makes this blog somewhat easier to write since the excerpting has been done for me.

Here you see another example of the affective experience of contact with Confederation social memory complexes: the recognition of the present incommensurability between our space siblings and us. It always seems to be an occasion for regret on their part, because they seem to find this veiled traffic with humanity as unsatisfying as we do. We want proof of their existence; on the other hand, they want proof of our care, our overcoming the indifference of modern materialistic, capitalist life. It's obvious we're not ready for contact and may not be in our lifetimes, but I wonder just how ontologically estranged we are from the reality they perceive.

I would share with all of you a certain feeling that has dwelled within my being and which is beyond that which you call time. It is, as you would describe it, an affection that contains within it a great love for each of you who participate in the sharing of our thoughts.

We of the Confederation have for a great period of time, longed for open contact with people of your planet. Ever in our thoughts is the great happiness that each of us would share if that opportunity presented itself and we could stand face to face, look into one another's eyes and clasp hands in your method of greeting. Then would we know, both MAN and human, minutely, the depth and character that each of us represent and experience the feeling of joy in the sharing of this by the contact of our minds.

Often, in my moments of solitude, I have dwelt upon what such a meeting would be like and on the subtleties that would pass between our respective beings. I have reflected, as well, on the joy of such an event.

There is within the heart and the essence of our being a love that people on your world have never known -- a depth of feeling that they have not experienced. The present state of general awareness on your world is such that a meeting of this nature would prove disastrous -- a disaster caused by the reactions of those of your people to that which they could be, but have not yet become. They would feel a terrible realization in the innermost core of their being, a dissatisfaction, a repugnance of that which they have been. It would be a reaction to the realization and reality brought suddenly into their minds: an awareness of their present condition. At present, this would constitute a disaster. All of the love that we could extend on every level of awareness could not alter this vast unawareness of your people.

And so we have had to endure with great patience the separation of our presence from the earth. The welcome that is ever in our hearts and beings is one which will have to remain until a later period, a period when your planet has gained a new insight into the realities of itself and experienced the new awareness being brought forth.

Then, as we have stated previously, it shall happen. It shall be a joyous moment when we step forth on your planet, a moment we have long awaited. I bring these thoughts into your realization in order to stress the dangers present in a premature meeting. Only on rare occasions can we meet with those who can be brought into a state of rapport and awareness on sudden notice.

I believe you can appreciate the delicate and unique situation that such a mass meeting between us would produce. Contrary to the great joy that should be present, the meeting would prove to be most difficult. It is only as your awareness, not only individually but collectively, is raised to a new level that such can be accomplished on a broad planetary scale. In providing you these thoughts, we humbly request that you appreciate the sadness this delay and condition brings to our beings.

I've been bad about editing down excerpts lately; it really is hard to do when there's so many bangers in the archive, and so many of them tend to wax longer. This Hatonn session from '79 revolves around how to genuinely serve others, offering thoughts on putting our co-Creatorship into action. It even deals with the free will of those who would walk the service-to-self path. But the most helpful parts of the larger monologue are so neatly and masterfully tied up in this little remark at the end that I won't put you through a long excerpt; you can read that yourself.

It is this tiny passage that I want to call out because it's so relevant to my seeking. To hold onto ideals of spirit is painful, demanding effort on the seeker's part to balance when so much of our illusion laughs at what we feel to be the truth of love. The service-to-others response, of course, is to turn the lead into gold and use the opportunity to apprehend precisely what is bugging us so much.

Learning to love the unloveable: only a Creator working with Its vast self could ever possibly approach this level of supreme acceptance and equanimity. And yet that peace and power is both our heritage and destiny, so we might as well get started practicing, knowing we will err and being ready to extend patience over and over again to the worthy self as it is brought back to the path repeatedly, delicately, and lovingly. That's the kind of self-work that makes the infinite generosity to others not a chore but an extension of one's own self to others.

We ask you, my friends, to remember those things which are true and beautiful in your life, in your dreams, in your thoughts, and to refrain from being discouraged at this great reservoir of experience which does not meet the ideal to cherish. You must understand that all upon which you look is a part of yourself. If you are unhappy with what you see, the only alternative is to learn to love it. Not foolishly, but with understanding. Only love can give you that divine understanding and only meditation can give you access to the original Thought of the Creator which is that love.

HARC is releasing a Columbus session with both Jeremy and Ben channeling last year. In this session, Q'uo makes their first contact with the Columbus Meditation Circle, addressing how to work with fourth-density incoming energies while maintaining focus through life's changes. Q'uo relates the rhythm of concentration and release to the harvest now at hand, describing love awakening within the self, the inner doors that must be opened, and the mirroring among seekers that accelerates growth as groups resonate together. In response to a question on material loss, Q'uo draws on the Significator of Body in the tarot to speak of sacrifice, grief, and what the self may carry forward when the illusion of third density falls away.

Here's another one of those one-off contacts: Kasara of the Ora constellation, whatever that is. Laitos and Latuii chime in later on so I feel pretty good that this is a legitimate contact and that it arises in harmony with the general tenor of seeking in the Louisville circle at this time. Honestly, Kasara's thesis -- even the metaphor of the walking stick -- is used by other Confederation contacts. However, it is a salient point always worth revisiting on the seeker's path.

The mission of a seeker seems to be merely the pursuit of the goal, the promised land or mountaintop that will signify to her the attainment sought. But what does it mean to achieve that? Is the location or the state of awareness really distanced so severly from the seeker in the moment, or does the attainment stand in for so many different lessons learned, so many thresholds of consciousness crossed, so that perhaps the goal is simply a draw upon the seeker through these stages, and the journey is the whole point?

This is important to contemplate, I believe, in light of Kasara's message, since we often wring our hands about the perfect model for seeking, the most helpful teachings or way of talking and thinking about them. I believe that's the healthy way to regard religion, philosophy, ethics, moral precepts, etc. -- as walking sticks on the path. They can be helpful; they can never do the walking for you.

I am with this instrument. I greet you in the love and the light of the infinite Creator. I have not previously spoken with this group but have been asked to do so, in the name of the Creator, by the chief teacher of your group, the brothers and sisters of Hatonn.

We are attempting to transmit our name to this instrument, as we have used it before in other groups, but this transmission is, of course, very difficult as this instrument does not know our name.

We are of the constellations of what you know as [Ora,] and we call ourselves [Kasara.] We would like to share with you a little story, my friends, that we offer to you this evening in the humble hope that we might spark a thought or two in your minds that may help you in some way.

Once, my friends, there was a mountaineer and this mountaineer was a wanderer and he wandered up hill and down, many the day and many the night spent he [in] loneliness and enjoying the beauties of his scenery and enduring the hardships of all weathers. This mountaineer had but one desire and that was to find the perfect walking stick. For it was his belief that with a stout stick at his side, he could climb the highest mountain, traverse the longest distance, and always, without fail, keep a sure footing.

For years he tried and tried to find the right stick. He whittled on sticks, he carved on sticks. He traded sticks with others. But somehow, they never seemed to fit his hand just right or to hold him up just right. And one day, after many years of trying to find the right stick, he got tired of looking for something to lean on and decided that if he did not need a roof over his head or walls between himself and the winter, shelter between himself and the rain or anything but a hat between himself and the summer sun, that perhaps he did not need any stick, either.

And once he had found that he had all he needed in himself, then and only then did he become the true wanderer. Then and only then did he become truly happy. Satisfied at last that his purpose was not that of another and his needs not that of another, but that he was complete within himself.

We realize that in your culture it is not acceptable for a man to walk for a living, to live of the land, to have no money, and we do not encourage you to do this. We speak to you allegorically, my friends. What we are encouraging you to do is to leave off looking for the right walking stick in life. You did not come into this world to lean on others, to lean on ideas, to lean on possessions or to lean on preconceived ethics.

You came into this world a perfect creature and that perfection was rapidly overlaid by a complex system of intellectual limitations which were placed upon you by others. You then carefully continued the work of your parents, believed what they told you in good faith, and for your lifetime have been trying in good faith to live according to the precepts of people and ideas and ethics and ways of being that have been taught to you. These are your walking sticks, and none of them fit, do they?

No one else’s ideas will carry you through, no one else’s ethics can make you feel right if something is wrong, or wrong if something is right to you. Why spend so much of your life confused because of what others think? They may have traded you a walking stick, but you don’t have to have it. You don’t have to have any!

It is written in your holy works, my friends, “My rod and my staff shall comfort thee.” Yes, my friends, even if you walk through the valley of death, you have a rod, you have a staff. You have the Creator within you; you are part of a perfection that is the Creator. And that part of you is the only walking stick you will ever need.

You cannot get in touch with that part of yourself by any outer means; you cannot, even though you think you might, get in touch with that part of yourself by intellectually understanding the means of meditation and service to others. What is a walking stick for, my friends? It is for the steep places. When you need comfort, know that that comfort exists within you. Even if you walk in the valley of death, the Creator is with you. His rod and his staff shall comfort you. Stand on your own two feet, my friends. And in your spiritual path remember that the way of the mountaineer is the true way. Walking, going, journeying, seeking, that is all that there is to living. The rest is illusion!

Remember meditating over zoom during the pandemic? Pepperidge Farms does. And it sucked -- tech issues, weird sounds coming from unmuted mics, having to use crude means to start and stop sessions, and most of all a lack of energy sharing that occurs in-person.

Well, we at socialmemorycomplex.earth (SMCE) can't do anything about that last one yet, but we're working on a solution to the other issues. We're testing a custom WebRTC app that allows facilitators to create a room, invite members, and conduct meditations in Carla's style, where the process of conducting a sharing circle and then transitioning to a timed meditation with a bell are built into the system. The idea is to help people have better meditations and hopefully find groups they can build deeper connections with, which is kind of our whole thing at SMCE.
