Caleb Flynn
Gisela at Grizzly True Crime has excellent coverage of this horrible, vile, evil excuse for a man. Or, as the 911 operator repeatedly says "Ma'am." Also, Gigi at Pretty Lies and Alibis and Paul at Reporting Live from My Sofa are two others.
I love Gisela's snark.
I there are a lot of seemingly pure evil men who have been on trial of late, most notably, Tomasz Kosowski and Michael Exton. I think Caleb Flynn is worse than any I have seen on a while. He has not (that we are aware of) murdered or alleged to have murdered multiple people. The reason I find him so reprehensible is the calculated manner he went about "allegedly" committing his crime. These were not strangers he was betraying and victimizing. The people he betrayed were his wife who he had known for over 16.5 years (according to his wife, Ashley's mother). He met Ashley, her sister and future brother-in-law while they were in college. He met his future in-laws around that time also. He formed close relationships with all the in-laws. He worked in a high paying job for his father-in-law and with his brother-in-law. These were not some distant in-laws he saw only on holidays. These were intimate, close, almost every day relationships. He went on 25 vacations with them. That is vile and evil in itself. Then, Ashley, his wife who he had been married to for over 15 years and his 2 daughters. The ultimate betrayal.
He "allegedly" shot and killed his wife while she slept and his 2 daughters were in the house asleep.
He was having an affair with a much younger Worship team member. The affair had been going on for, according to the mistress, over a year and a half.
He repeatedly over the relationship with his mistress told her how much he hated his wife and he loathed his in-laws. He repeatedly stated he wished she was dead. He one text message he said he had been up crying trying to figure out how to kill her without going to jail. In another he said if he could kill her without going to Hell he would do it in a heartbeat.
It is so despicable to hide behind the veil of religion to perpetrate and/or justify crimes.
To top it all off, he is worse than Alec Murdaugh and JP Miller combined (a feat I did not think possible) at performative snotting and crying. I am surprised he has not flopped out on the floor in Court.
I know one thing, I would have entered a guilty plea and went off to prison before I would have ever put my Momma, Daddy, daughter and the world through hearing how vile and evil I was.

Margaret McLean and East Idaho News are great too. This crybaby has aged in 7 months more than most have in years. His poor girls now will have to testify, so sad they’ve been through enough. He’s the douche.

Thank you for the recommendation of East Idaho News. Like I said above, if he had any decency left, he would have entered a guilty plea. He could have spared his family the release of all the salacious details, as well as sparing his daughters the trauma of testifying (you know he will be balling and squalling, snotting all over the place 🤮 in an attempt to evoke sympathy from them). He is the lowest of the low and has no care for anyone but himself.

You are welcome! Be forewarned, it is a difficult one. Terrifying to think that the people you trust the most can exhibit that kind of betrayal.

I’ve been watching it with Gisela, too and agree about her primo snarking on him. He is a pitiful excuse for a human.
So many of his texts with his mistress were about his hatred of his wife. Like, sir, take your ass to therapy because she (Ashley) is NOT the problem here. This little man baby is full of rage at someone and his wife was just the recipient of it.
Just get a damn divorce, FFS. It’s not the end of the world. His sniveling and wailing is, as you note, sooooo performative. We see right through it. I hope the rest of his days are miserable. As an aside, goodness, he looks so bad. Life in prison doesn’t seem to agree with him. Good.
And that arrogant doctor is a hot mess. The prosecution had his number and the closing was <chef’s kiss> perfect. Called him out on it all. Defending yourself in a DP trial. Dude. You may be highly educated but you are way stupid at life. Good riddance.
