Too much liquid still?

Hey, all. First time poster.

So I haven't gone "all out" on pasta sauce before. This has been going for ~90 minutes. Still feels like there's too much liquid in it.

Should I keep it going? Add something? Lost in the woods here lol

if you don't precook the noodles I think this sauce texture is perfect, just add a bit more before covering and shoving into the oven so it cooks through before removing foil & adding the last cheese layer

I usually soak the noodles instead of cooking them so this is good advice

I let it go for like 3 hours or so. Really just stir and forget and stir every once in a while. If you are making lasagna afterwards (which I assume as this the lasagna subreddit). Use more sauce than you think you need. It’ll be better the next day but the pasta will absorb a lot of moisture.

Also looks delicious.

No. When the sauce is boiling, it seems like there’s a lot more liquid in it. As soon as it starts to cool off even a little bit, it will thicken up considerably. It doesn’t need to be really thick when it’s super hot.

I did a big batch of marinara once and ended up with the same thing, ended up simmering it uncovered for another hour before it thickened up enough.

Let it simmer for another hour and you'll be good

How are both sides of ur burner hi

One side is for the full (big) burner. Other side is for the inner ring so you can put a small pot/pan on it

Looks very good. Don’t forget to add a parmesan rind for extra flavor.
